You helped me out on purchasing a Honda rubicon awesome vids man! This is a rancher and I was lookin at 570 can am renegades the rubicon is just the right middle ground for me
Hey man, Honda 4-wheelers are the way to go! I've rode them all my 28 years of life and can keep up with all those badass side-by-sides. This is the only video I may ever see from ya, but man; if in doubt on a wheeler, gas the hell out of it and lean to where you need to get up to. You'll get there even if it means some pawin and draggin. Hit that gas and hang on man!
Thanks! I enjoy giving myself little challenges to overcome. I feel like it hones my riding skills and helps me understand the limits/abilities of my machine.
In terms of making a sound or noise, no it does not. My power steering is totally silent in operation. But yes, when I get in a really tight bind like the one there at the end, there are times when there's too much force to turn the wheel, like in that case I couldn't turn it left because the weight/force of the machine was against it in total right turn lock out. But it seems like the moment the machine starts to move it'll free up. I'm so glad I got the power steering on my quad. It makes the riding so much more enjoyable, and less tiring.
Honestly it's super nice. You don't even know it's there until you ride a quad without it again and go, "wow, that power steering DOES make a difference!"
just curious, I noticed you always ride in esp mode. is that just preference over automatic or does that help with having more traction and control over the ATV?
It's true, I do ride mostly in ESP because I enjoy shifting. That's really the only reason. But when I get out on a ride where I'm just relaxed and sight seeing, I will flip it to auto because it does such a good job on it's own.
You have the ability to engage the front two tires also, so that all four tires receive power from the engine. This helps you get through slippery situations, or climb hills, for example.
I've noticed lots of folks immediately put bigger tires on. However, I prefer the lower center of gravity, lighter weight, and overall performance of the 24" tires. I have never been out riding and thought, "Man, I wish I had bigger tires." It's never happened, and this quad takes me everywhere I want to go with it. I get that some people think it looks better with bigger tires. Looks are subjective, and I think it looks great with 24" tires. Do you have bigger tires on yours?
+nevertoooldtohavefun for what you you should itp mudlites AT you can buy them off amazon for like 350$ for a whole set, buy same size as stock tires they just have way better traction i have them on mine and they get through so many places i couldnt before those wheels have for good performance they are good with some mud not deep chunky mud but theyll handle some mud very good for trail ridding
Math, huh? Try this... Wife prefers automatic = A This quad is technically the wife's = B New/misc riders do better with automatic = C Lots of people besides me ride this quad = D I still want to be able to shift manually when I ride = E ESP/AUTO allows me to shift manually when I ride = F A+B+C+D+E+F =/= FOOTSHIFT (the symbol represents "not equal to") The ESP/Auto has given us no trouble, and works flawlessly. Very user friendly, it is. But, when you see me pick up another one in the future intended for me, it will likely be a foot shift model. :)
Southwest ORV Hey! I know you do t have this machine anymore, but was the ride good on the solid axle. It’s to expensive for us to get IRS and plus we’re using it as more of a work machine. My grandfather will be getting this atv plain. No EPS, and no ES just a plain foot shift.
Game on. Post a VIDEO to YOUR CHANNEL of you riding YOUR QUAD, showing me how "it's done." I'm constantly improving my riding technique, and I'm open to a demonstration of superior technique.
Nah man no harm was intended here, I was just trying to say if your going to be going through situations like you were then why don't you go ahead and put it in four wheel drive and give it some more gas while your doing it that's all
I see. I like to test what my quad can do in 2wd. I love it when I can get through something tough in 2wd, and not even put it in 4wd. But, if I'm ever worried that I'll really get stuck, I do what you say and put it in 4wd then hammer the throttle.
Never underestimate a Rancher !
That's what I'm learning.
Can't believe that was shot on an iPhone. Looks great! Nice video!
Thanks! The iPhone makes it easy.
Good getting out of the creek and the wash. Top notch!
As they say, "if at first you don't succeed..."
You helped me out on purchasing a Honda rubicon awesome vids man! This is a rancher and I was lookin at 570 can am renegades the rubicon is just the right middle ground for me
I'm glad! I loved my Honda. I hope you love your Rubicon like I loved my Rancher. Enjoy.

I've seen that's how the boys do it back east a lot of the time.
Nice driving man I have a quad like that
Thanks! I loved this Rancher. I miss it. Hope you're enjoying yours.
Nice manoeuvring at the end there.
Does the Rancher come with diff-lock?
Thanx for sharin'!
Thanks! It was fun. No, the Rancher does not have diff lock. Foreman does.
+nevertoooldtohavefun
Right, ya I knew the Foreman did. Just wasn't sure about the Rancher. I have a '15 Rubicon with it and I like it.
Oh duh... YOU HAVE A FOREMAN! Nice, have you liked it?
On the rancher it doesn’t but there is a trick if you slightly pull the right handle brake then it will engage the diff
Very impressive.
Thanks!
hah!..good job getting out of that wash!..
Thanks! I enjoy giving myself little challenges to overcome. I feel like it hones my riding skills and helps me understand the limits/abilities of my machine.
does the power steering grunt and grown in a bind like that you were in?
In terms of making a sound or noise, no it does not. My power steering is totally silent in operation. I've wondered how they act with ps,,i've never rode one with it..i bet it is nice though!
Honestly it's super nice. You don't even know it's there until you ride a quad without it again and go, "wow, that power steering DOES make a difference!"
What did you use to film this, and what SD card do you use in it?
I used my iPhone, plain and simple.
Awsome vid
Thanks!

Nice content man
Thanks Yeet.
I bet you could rip if you got better tires...btw good job in the water
I bet you're right. I'll end up with some new tires somewhere here in the next 12 months or so.
what is 4x4 sorry i dont know much about four wheelers
You have the ability to engage the front two tires also, so that all four tires receive power from the engine. This helps you get through slippery situations, or climb hills, for example.
alright thanks man
nevertoooldtohavefun were do u think I can get a great del buying a Honda rancher for under 2,000$
Honestly, in Arizona and in Utah it is almost impossible to find a used rancher for under $2000. I don't know where you'd find one like that.
Ranchers can go and do everything
It can certainly go and do more than I anticipated it would be able to when I bought it.
You need bigger tiers
I've noticed lots of folks immediately put bigger tires on. However, I prefer the lower center of gravity, lighter weight, and overall performance of the 24" tires. nevertoooldtohavefun I put bigger tiers on mine but it still has stock rims which I am happy with
+nevertoooldtohavefun for what you you should itp mudlites AT you can buy them off amazon for like 350$ for a whole set, buy same size as stock tires they just have way better traction i have them on mine and they get through so many places i couldnt before those wheels have for good performance they are good with some mud not deep chunky mud but theyll handle some mud very good for trail ridding
Yes, those are the tires I will most likely end up with. Several of my friends have the Mud Lite AT on their Hondas and love them.
+nevertoooldtohavefun yea ill go get in some mudd and show you how really good they are this weekend
😂 have a look at my rancher crossing creek
Let me guess, much deeper? ;) For us non-mudders, this is about normal.
@@SouthwestORV very deep haha, I actually am all stock, just a bit daring
IMO: FOOTSHIFT > ESP/auto
Math, huh? Try this...
Wife prefers automatic = A
This quad is technically the wife's = B
New/misc riders do better with automatic = C
Lots of people besides me ride this quad = D
I still want to be able to shift manually when I ride = E
ESP/AUTO allows me to shift manually when I ride = F
A+B+C+D+E+F =/= FOOTSHIFT (the symbol represents "not equal to")

Yes, the ride was good. I enjoyed it very much. For work it's great too. I think it'll be a very good purchase for him.
Southwest ORV Great Thanks!
Southwest ORV I’ll probably be doing a review video soon on my channel called “Northwoods Tools and Machinery”
only if he knew what he was doing

Grab and handful of throttle, right?!
Nice content man
