Wood Harris is a legit legend of black cinema.
Nah…
Wood Harris is a legit legend in ALL CINEMA
@@hopjackmorgan2145 amen. Why people gotta put labels on it? Lol
@NoreagaMan I'm saying that with pride. He's spent the majority of his career depicting characters and stories that highlight black culture. And has been very intentional, vocal, and unapologetic about it. So I'm not going to undermine his life's work by not acknowledging that.
He a Black All Star
Nah most def, I get where you coming from. He's in that bracket with guys like Leon and Lorenz Tate who coulda been major if Hollywood hadn't had their select picks when it came to us
Wood Harris is a legend! This man bodies every role he gets. We know his work. If he's in a movie or t.v. show, I'm watching! Professional! He will always get bmore love for his role in the Wire!! I hope he gets a lifetime achievement one day!
He deserves one!!!!!! Played in so many classic movies and shows. Remember The Titans and New Edition Story being my favorite ones
Wood Harris is one of the greatest actors that people don’t talk about, one of my favorite actors. People forgot about remember the Titans, and the WIRE. Wood playing Avon was great acting again, this man has rolls he’s played that are iconic.
No one forgets about The Wire, every time Wood does an interview the comments are flooded with Avon praise.
Wood Harris a legend fr🐐
Wood Harris has always been my favorite actor simply because his work and his catalog often get overlooked with the likes of others, but Wood definitely deserves his flowers and deserves a lot of the success he’s receiving today.
Above the rim was shot across the street from my house. The first and only time I met pac. It's crazy how much life has changed since then.
Wood Harris should get a legacy movie or tv show. He deserves it
This man is one of the main characters in almost every single one of my top movies AND tv shows. One of the unsung heroes of Hollywood for sure. Above the Rim, Remember the Titans, Paid in Full, and obviously THE WIRE!!
I enjoy seeing him in the Creed movies too
@@terrancecarmichael619 factz he did good in those as well did you see creed 3 yet?
@@AyoJachi123 Yup, saw it the day it came out in theaters.
I could listen to wood harris tales all day and night. Shout outs to everyone that remembers him clowning around in Next Day Air. He has range, he can do funny/comedic too.
Last minute he actually talks about Pac
😂
He played some great characters. One of my favorite actors of all time. Avon Barksdale was the man
First off: WoodHarris and his brother are 2 of the most ingenious performance artist there are in this cinematic world. You believe them every time they perform, no matter the film’s budget their core competencies are easily recognized. You know right away you are watching a form of greatness unveil its art.
Speaking on icon: TUPAC IS A RARE OCCURRENCE‼️ He was introduced to a theatre audience at 13, where he blew the top off the legendary Apollo in his performance of “A Raisin in the Sun”, leaving the audience astonishingly impress by his debut.
His peers and family members all stated that he possess a multifaceted layer of artist/talent and intellectual capacity, as early as 3 years old, whereas, he was creating and directing them in plays and musicals, a continuation of their childhood til his physical demise. His Prolific faculties transcended rap/recording art. At 13, Tupac was conceived in the same light as Poitier, Belafonte. It doesn’t get more iconic.
Too often when questions are asked about Tupac’s iconic level, people automatically think Rap or Rap rivalry which was engineered by marketing.
Tupac’s aura could fill up a room, as he, too received energy around him that could cause a great deal of anxiety as he never wanted to disappoint anyone. If ever there were a fear of a rising Black Messiah in our generation, it would have been a fearless Tupac, to whom is also iconic for not having fear of the shadow governance of powers. He didn’t fear the fraternal orders or the acronyms. In fact, he developed his own set of acronyms - (THUGLIFE) a rebellion with cause, as he was well aware the government would co-opt to satisfy the evil of distorting the message, hiding the truth like they are doing with the term WOKE, to date. Never the less, PAC’s concern was his people. He drew his audience/us closer through a portmanteau of brilliant diagnostic acronyms and spelling of words attributed to Black communities of color - the exact disturbia needed to awaken the exploitation of Black people, rappers, their art and it’s rising enterprise which is the number one product to date. {Happy50}. Tupac Amaru Shakur was an icon by the shear announcement of his name; and for damn sure his fame. He was the missing element of young bold & beautiful, vociferous artist/expressionism intellectual self discipline .
Tupac was/is the true definition of ICON, from the moment you set eyes on him. You felt the presence of his deity. He may not have been LEGENDARY, yet that was to come; however, the aura of veneration was present.
When he tied a bandana on his forehead with a full Versace suit, you wanted to know more. When he hit that stage with digital underground dressed in print draws like Prince during his initial revolution days, you knew that this guy was focused and driven by the need to escape poverty and save his people from the idealism of impoverishment. He carried that welcome with welcome arms all while maintaining his commitments to the new Afrikan leadership council/political affiliation to advance the mind of young Black boys and girls. That’s the real fear. Tupac was developing leaders before puberty. That’s the unspoken shish that gets buried on purpose.
ICON doesn’t depend on time to unravel its gifts. Icons are birthed into the example they carry unbeknownst to self. They set the trends, they lead the way of their generation to come. It’s unfortunate that there are REAL POWER STRUCTURES MAINTAINING GOALS OF MAKING THE TUPAC AMARU’s NEVER COME TO COMPLETE FRUITION. Know the difference.
Wood is right. There are some legends who are not ICONS 💜💜We can’t let any ole body distort the terms of ICON. Challenge them to be iconic in their day to day without going astray at the first sign of difficulties.
Thank y’all for having #WoodHarris

Wood Harris is such a legend.. The way he embodies his roles are incredible. I’m glad we have these platforms to see the true person behind those roles.
“Attitude reflects leadership…captain”

Y'all should get Remy Ma up there. She dropped classics Lean Back and All The Way Up with Fat Joe. She won Best Female Hip Hop Artist when she came home. She now runs a battle rap league called Chrome 23. 🔥
Nobody cares
Nobody ain't checking for no damn Remy Ma, maybe people from BX but that's about it
Havent heard that in a while. OG straight Chicago lingo for "Ole Girl", your mother.
We need more leading Wood Harris roles before it’s too late. C’mon playa fuck w us one time 💐
The most important thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be how to invest in different sources of income that doesn't depend on the government. Especially with the current economic crisis around the world 🌍. This is still a good time to invest in various stocks gold, silver and digital currencies
Oh please, how can someone get in touch with Mrs Olivia!!?

Wood (great actor) has his events wrong. Pac didn’t get shot until a year after above the rim came out. He’s probably has it confused with the Atlanta shooting
Yea you are right. Likely just bad wording. Shoulda said he was involved in a shooting, rather than he actually took hot ones. His memory is clearly there, just the verbiage made it confusing. Definitely referring to Atlanta.
I think he's talking about the accident with the prop gun on the set of the movie where Tupac got hurt, not about when Tupac was actually shot.
Above the Rim was Tupacs 3rd or 4th movie
This man said it’s his all time favorite moments then asked if pac got shot at the end. 😂😂😂🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
I feel like wood Harris is the only person who could have played ghost as good as Omari don't know why 50 didn't put him in power universe
I saw this actor do an interview with Rich Eisen, and when Eisen asked him about his experience on the movie, he didn't even remotely act like or say that he came to know Pac extremely well during the course of making that movie.
Duane Martin was nice at ball though

Classic mum reaction 2:49
So... he's something, like.. what you might call.. an Authority Figure
So Pac took Above the Rim and Juice from Treach?? Damn😂
Treach was one of his best friends he ain’t care
@@wpdmir2155 i kno
Dam let the man talk
Oh Mickey cobra 😂😂
I own that movie Above The Rim best bball movie and pac movie and this man being pac’s gunner bad ass movie imo . Wood Harris character in Above the Rim is legend .
it’s again yo
"Be a little slow be a little late"
Treach and forest whitaker??? Definitely wouldn't have been the same movie
If “Above the rim” is one of your all time favourite films, cinematically you’re blind. And you need to watch more films.
It’s a classic movie watch yo mouth
Its funny every time someone adks him about tupac he really never answer the question he always seems to talk about himself
It has to be annoying that every time you go somewhere and you're supposed to speak about you're own career people just want you to talk about this one someone you worked with
Dude cut him off like yea good story but um did you know pac was in the movie..
Yeah that was messed up
She is gorgeous who is that
Whos that chick in the green shes amazing looking
You can tell he's cappin. He didn't spend that much time with Pac cus the ONLY story he tells in ALL his interviews he does is the same ole tired story how the Pac at the very end of Above The Rim is not Pac but his double. Respectable actor tho. I think he just tired of folks asking about Pac.
Avon
What are two girls names?
That's a lie. Above The Rim was filmed in 1993 and released in April 1994. He got shot in November 1994. He hadn't been shot yet.
He Mickey ???
What that light skinneded girl?
Is it just or is Wood Harris shading Tupac. I can definitely detect jealousy.
Which part? I didn't pick up on any shade.
first
I don't believe that they had a Tupac look-alike in the movie I think he is lying about that.
@@2PACMAKAVELI703 anyone capable of lying
So another black male that was envious and jealous of Pac that’s all I got from this.
