AIRCRAFT CRASH IN WASHINGTON: Survivors? “I'm pessimistic!” Blackhawk crashes with passenger jet!
After the serious plane crash over Washington, the Department of Defense and the US military immediately launched an investigation. Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth confirmed this and said on platform X: “Prayers for all the souls affected and their families.” He also confirmed media reports that the military helicopter involved in the accident was on a training flight at the time of the incident.
A passenger plane had collided with the helicopter in mid-air. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the aircraft was a Bombardier CRJ700 from American Airlines. According to Hegseth, the helicopter was a UH-60 helicopter, a specific variant of the H-60 family. The FAA had previously spoken generally of a Sikorsky H-60. The UH-60 is a more precise designation within this military multi-purpose helicopter series.
