how did you manage to not cut parts of the circle on the top side of the burn? I know, because of the trapezium kerf, this kind of problem happens on the bottom part, but I have never seen it on the top of the kerf.
@@JamiesHobbies-GGB ha! I meant the air compressor not the Hailea little one, i just cant stand the noise of the hiss, damages you ears hearing big time, im the admin on the Endurance site. good review thanks also good to know its a Bangood model. chinese ones are so awful really, trouble is people don't look father that the big 20 watt label which is input power normally not output! I see George has sengt you one with a monster fan on it....nIt will work well, next time a C02 Laser.... pop one of those on your CNC and away you go...I have a smaller one than yours, 1.5 mts x 1 mts workbee but still very good fun and good at what iI use it for, the CO2 though is in a big cabinet, its way too dangerous not too be really, cant see the beam and what it touches catches fire in seconds.
How did you connect the laser to the breakout board ? I have a usb breakout board but not much info on how to connect it. ( I have a 7W diode laser). Thanks
If your laser box has the PWM or TTL wires, then you should be able to connect them to any outputs you have on your breakout board - mine only has 0 and 17 for outputs so I connected mine to 17 and then in Mach3 I just have to turn on that output and tell it which pin (17) to use... Are you using Mach3?
@@JamiesHobbies-GGB Thank you for the reply. I have the PWM connection on my breakout board for the router.. I don't use the board to control my router so I will give it a try. Regards LesDouglas
@@Les54742 Cool - looks like they have a few different models and I can't find the manuals for them - but there should be some outputs (like 3, 4, 5,6) and those will be mapped to pin outputs from the computer(like for example, output 3 on the board is actually output 17 on the computer) there should be a pin to output chart for that in your manual - if you send me the manual I can tell you for sure (hoarderofhobbies@gmail.com)
I would like to see cutting of ply not cardboard
I am working on that right now - but I'll give you a hint - I'm making it through .25 plywood in like 4 passes at 8ipm

Ahh I think what's not clear in the video is I am turning that cardboard sheet over when I grab it - what I'm showing is the bottom :)
thank you for your video!!!
No Problem! There's a lot more to come (mainly because I like playing with lasers!) LOL
I would have put a bullet in that compressor by now! nice little comparison, what was the other laser brand?
Too noisy? LOL It's supposed to be one of the quiet ones too! :) there's no brand on the other laser - I got it from Banggood website (China)

Yes I am using Mach 3. The breakout board is WiXHC.
