I first started watching the documentaries of Louis & Mary Leakey way back in the early '70s, on PBS. Those films changed my life. Later, I was fortunate to see Richard Leakey in Great Bend, Kansas, in the mid-70s and got a bachelor's degree in Anthropology with coursework in human evolution. Many thanks to the Leakeys' research, PBS, and the Leakey Foundation.
