Nice flght, hope that diversity receiver helps, also i should mention it would be better if you could talk in the video instead of captions if you can😊
Thanks, dude! Yeah, I sometimes throw in voiceovers, but not always feeling it. Feels like the voice steals the show, you know? Appreciate the suggestion though! Catch you later!
Awesome flight . What hd vtx system and antenna you had on quad?
Thanks, man! I'm rocking the O3, and the antennas on my quad are Albatros V1
so far my best was 1.74 km distance wise, and the drone is right of the production line, no mods. Still had like 20Mbps ...I acctually modded it by only using blank file on SD card which unlocked full power of transmiter. Haven't seen drone pilots using Yagis, or parasitic arrays...are they unusable for long range recons ? HAM radio op here so I nkow a thing or two ha ha
Haha, dude, I'm a total newbie too, there's just so much to soak in, but man, it's such a fun challenge! :) So, word on the street is, those antennas aren't cutting it. For long-distance flights, helical antennas are the bomb, and when it comes to directional ones, TrueRC is where it's at, especially their X-Air model. I'm still tinkering around though. And yeah, you pulled off that FCC hack, nice move! 'Cause let's be real, having a drone that costs a fortune with just a 700-meter range is kinda pointless. Not sure what drone you're rocking, but if it's a DJI FPV or Avata, keep a close eye on battery life, 'cause that's gonna be the kicker.
@@Wild__FPV please don't say the batteries are getting South to early :/
I used to have the DJI FPV, and the battery never lasted longer than 7-9 minutes, and in that time, I don't believe it's possible to achieve more than 2-3 km in one direction. With the Chimera7, the battery lasts around 18-20 minutes, and during that time, it's possible to reach 5-6 km, depending on the wind and elevation
@@Wild__FPV I have Avata, advertised 15-18 min didn't checked it yet
That usually refers to flying at 40 km/h, without elevation and winds, in ideal ambient temperatures, but in real conditions, the results can vary greatly. You definitely need to conduct testing before embarking on long-range flights.
Che antenne hai sulla O3?

Grazie!!!
u stay too close to car. bad for signal. all other is good.
I gotta admit, I had no clue about that. Will definitely keep that rule in mind going forward. Thanks for the tip, bro, really appreciate it!
