This game is so damn charming. I love how there is little bits of relationships scattered all over the underworld that all can be tied together. Also seeing Persephone, Hades and Zag sorta get along fills me with joy. Im pretty sure Zagreas comes from pre Dark Ages Greece! Some say he used to be Dionysus.
The Dionysus part even gets referenced in the game when Dionysus himself convinces Zag to do a "harmless prank" on Orpheus by just starting the myth that they're one and the same. Which Orpheus actually believes without a doubt.
In truth Zagreus is one of the most mysterious god. (He is supposed to be the god of rebirth - which the game tackle with the constant deaty) He can also be a son of Persephone and Zeus (yikes) Funny when the Dionysos aspect of Zagreus is called Orphic Dionysus when the game prank Orpheus.
@@anonyme4881 it's the first time i have heard Persephone had a thing with Zeus XD Persephone and hades were the only couple in all of Greek mythology that respected each other and actually showed love for another now if you tell me that Zeus (R WORD) Persephone i would believe it since he was.... let's say he wasn't a good role model -_-
@@iasonastzene9151 Greek mythology wasnt something fixed and there isnt a "canon", one story to end them all The Persephone and Zeus thing is from Mycaennian Greece, 300 years before classical greek mythology. (In this early greek mythos Poseidon is the king of god) Hades didnt exist in Mycaennian Greece, so this isnt cheating technically. Zagreus changed a lot in time. As Hades was created he remplaced Zeus as the father (He also stole Persephone title of God of Hell, she probably came from Ereshkigal from Sumerian mythos) Later, Zagreus became Dyonisus
@@naethavenir9422 his biggest mistake was interfering with Zeus' "Zeus business" and cheating death. He doesn't deserve this as we was just wanted water for his people. I like how they went with gentle giant Sisyphus.
@@weirdreportt its not exactly that clean cut if you go through the myths, he had a habit of stealing from his guests and lots of guest murder so it was based on that, him trapping death and Tricking Persophone into haunting his wife only to not do that and live till old age.
It's been a very fun ride if this is the last of the tid bits of lore and interactions you had left to discover. Without your videos I would have never found out about this game's amazing story and soundtrack!
For some reason I imagined the Narrator saying his last bit in the flesh, only hooded so you can't tell his identity, then him stopping Zagreus the moment he steps out of the underworld, then killing him himself after saying "bye-bye". How? Maybe a classic stab to the gut?
I just got myself the second statue. No way in hell I'm gonna attempt for the third one. Maybe if they had given some achievement for that but nope !!!
@@nontimetis o.O Still not done after 200 h? What is still left? I'm currently ~ 70 h and I aim for enabling all weapon aspects, fulfilling the duo and legendary boon prophecies, and maxing out all affinities and completing the epilogue.
@@MartilloB My codex is missing some info on the legendary fishes, weapon aspects have not been upgraded to full, two themes need to be bought and I am nowhere near the maximum rank 😂 Nothing that important really.

I tend to be an obsessive completionist but in some games there comes a point where I have to say "stop, enough" and focus on progressing in my own game of life again. And despite being fun, Hades with its grinding will be one of those games 😁
@@MartilloB I could not complete 100% either as the revards for doing so are minimal in Hades. You get really god and touching dialogue for the smallest of things and huge efforts present you with very little or nothing at all. Awesome game anyway

There's even a bouldy-based boon, it is nothing big, just a 4% increase to special attack damage

I don't think so, as the achievements don't track the very late game stuff. Would be great as there is no way to know if I am still missing something.
