But the more people(or even animals) you get to know and get close to, the more it hurts when they aren't there anymore. But a huge part of being a person is getting close to people/creatures and then eventually losing them. So can you really say you're a person if you've never formed an interpersonal relationship with another living being, and then eventually lost it?

It's a unique view I'll give it that. But that much still seems crazy to me. Of course, it is NY and real estate is robbery out there I've read/heard. Seems like you could mortgage/quickly pay off a home in most states for that.
