Hi Rob! Thanks for another great video. In my opinion it might be amazing if you can do a video of getting into the park early and go back to hotel earlier afternoon for a rest. Then around 6-7, heading back to the parks (maybe another park with hopper option). As Orlando gets warmer, especially during the summer time. People who stay onsite might want to head back to hotel for a light refreshment.
We also had to go back to the hotel in the afternoon for a few hours to get out of the worst of the heat, before returning around 6-7 for dinner and more rides.
Hi Ear Scouts. I just began watching your videos and love them. I do have a question about lighting lane and the 2 hour and not following the 2 hour rule you mentioned in your sleeping in video for Hollywood studios. I plan to also sleep in one day and hit Hollywood studios around lunch time. Should I begin booking at 7am or when park opens?
Rob, I wanted to let you know about our Disney world success! We were a party of 6, on Hollywood studios we did every single ride by 3pm. It was during the madness of spring break and we missed the early entry hour, and still got it all done. Thank you so much!!
We used a version of your plan yesterday very successfully! Thanks for the video! We went to Epcot in the morning and used our first LL for Frozen, then did some shorter wait time things and went around the world for the festival. Started stacking in HS, went back to the hotel to rest and go to the pool. Then went to HS around 6:30pm. We did MMRR, all of Toy Story land and all of Galaxy's Edge in 3 hours. We had LL stacked perfectly to not back track at all and hopped in line for Rise at the end of the night getting on in 45 minutes. It was a great night!
Hello from the UK! I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your videos! We visited in February and we were able to do so much more thanks to your tips and tricks, it was our first visit and we had such a magical experience! We had so much success with the genie slots and I've been reccomending your channel to all my Disney friends. Thank you so much and keep these videos coming! We're going back again!
Hey guys, another great video I just wanted to say I loved seeing you guys supporting cast members increasing wages. There’s not a lot of other Disney creators out there doing that.
Thank you for this. Our flight got delayed 5 hrs and came in at 2:00am. So, our plan to rope drop HS was out and this strategy was in. Rob and Erik, we had a great visit to WDW, and your videos were a big reason why. Keep up the great work.
Hi Rob, just wanted to give you and update on my family trip of 12 at magic kingdom yesterday, everything you taught me worked 100% , we road every ride but 5 rides. We had the most amazing day , and a lot of this was because of your help. Thanks again for being so helpful
Hi Ho Rob, I just wanted to let you know that since watching all your videos, you made our 2 year old's birthday trip this week to all the parks, MAGICAL!!! Organizing our days was a breeze thanks to your expert tips. Thank you for all you do and we are hoping to run into you during a future trip! Think happy thoughts!
Omg!!!! You are my new favorite disney vlogger. So helpful!!! I am going in September and was so afraid of this new genie+ system, but after watching your videos i feel much more comfortable. Thank you❤
I love this idea so much! My least favorite thing about Genie+ (other than the price) is having to get up at 6:57 AM on vacation. This is a great way to get a little more sleep and still get the same number of lightning lanes.
Hi Rob - We love all of your videos! Just got back from Disney World and we used your Genie+ tips which made our 2 days at the parks a wonderful experience. We rode every ride we wanted to even though the parks were extremely busy. Thank you! 😄
Great tips. We don’t do early, but since we don’t go often I like the idea of a nominal fee for genie that I don’t have to book 3 months in advance. Thanks. It also looks like your channel is growing nicely. Great job!
We just returned from Disney and we had such great success with Genie+. Thank you so much for all your videos and tips and tricks. We were staying off property and we still managed to score a ILL for tron and Rise. We rode everything we wanted when we wanted. Just took a little time and patience.
Thank you so much for your explanation and recommendations Went to three parks and follow your tips!!! Did all Hollywood studios and epcot we even did character dining my daughter expressions where priceless
Thanks for the video! This is so helpful! Would you be open in doing a video for a 2 park in one day with park hopper starting from Animal Kingdom to Hollywood Studios? I’m wondering how that itinerary would look like 😅
Thanks so much Rob! We used all your tips and jumped on every single ride that we wanted to over the past few days! Except for the few were planning on tackling at After Hours tonight! Would love to see a Hollywood Studios After Hours video.
Hi Rob! Wow, your videos are fantastic! We are visiting Disney soon, it's our first time ever! I was slightly overwhelmed with all the rules and your videos have been so helpful, can't thank you enough! You're doing a great job! *
Hi Athena - thanks so much for making our videos part of your Disney planning. We’re so glad you’re feeling good about your trip, that’s always our goal. 😀
Your videos always bring a smile to my face. Such awesome positivity! I'm finally gonna go back to Orlando this fall. First time in 5 years. I'm pretty confident I can master Genie+ through your videos. And congrats on the 25...uhm....26k 😉 subs!
Hi Rob, I just binge watched all your videos and can't wait for the next one! Thank you so much for all the good information. I was so confused about Genie+ and Lightening Lane until finding your channel. My daughter and I are heading there in late April and i can't wait to play the Genie Slots!! I'm hoping to see a few more park hopper videos before we come. Also, I jot down food recommendations every time you mention liking something in a specific park. I thought that would make a great video series for you to do. Thank you again for your channel. It is one of my faves and I will share Ear Scouts with everyone going to Disneyworld!🤩P.S. I will be sure to say hello if I see you in April!!❤
Do it on saints Patrick's day lol. We realized quick.. missed rise.. Never forget.. *love the videos and definitely made us successful on our trip! (Skip Hollywood on saints Patrick's day)
I was just having this conversation with my family this past weekend. We have a trip scheduled for July and we always are up early to get to the park, and we wondered if there is a day when we don't have to do that. Looking forward to watching the video and getting smarter. As always, thank you!
Hi Giovanni - it’s always nice to have at least one sleep-in day. Try to do it on the park day(s) you expect to be less busy and you’ll be surprised how much you can pack in. Hope you enjoy the video. 🙂
@@EarScouts Video was very helpful as always. We will be in WDW for a week in July, I guess we will see if we're disciplined enough to sleep in! Thank you always for the great information.
Hey, we are coming over in August and we would love you to take us through the parks and rides, you could even make a video of showing how the Brits can follow you and make the most of Disney with your tips and tricks
You never know - we occasionally look for families like we did with the Genie with a Large Group video. We usually post here and on Facebook when we need help like that. Thanks for watching! 😃
Rob, I love your videos on how to sleep in and do all the rides. I love this one and the magic kingdom one as well!! How would you plan a 5 or 7 day of Disney world? I think that would be another great video 🙂
Hi Diana - thanks for watching this one. Glad you enjoyed it! I feel like planning out a longer trip is so specific to the person, family or group. There is SO much to do here beyond the parks. I would always suggest taking at least 1-2 days on a trip of that length and enjoying the resorts, water parks, Disney Springs and other fun activities. That said, some folks are all about the parks, in which case I’d say do all four, but double up on reservations for Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios because they tend to have the most attractions people want to do (and maybe do again 😄). Thanks for the suggestion! 👍
@@EarScouts , Rob that is so true!! We have done 7 Disney world vacations most being 7 days long and we are also in the parks. We love the lands and the rides! Even with an entire week I feel like there is just so much to do!! On this vacation we tried the water parks, and I'm so glad we did!! I wouldn't have tried that if it weren't for your videos! Thanks for being so amazing!!! 💜💜
Thanks, Diana. 😊 I’m so glad you enjoyed the water parks. They’ve ruined pools for me. Now I’m like “I COULD go to the pool, but I’d really prefer a lazy river…” 🤣
Your videos are always amazing and useful, this strategy is just what I needed. I'll rope drop AK using stand by queue, then hop to DHS on easter friday. I'll book Slinky at 7am then at 10am I'll start stacking other rides (MMRR & MF:SR are priorities) I'm just a little scared about the rides running out of availability that day.
Yes, if you’re worried about a ride (cough*slinky*cough, cough) running out of Lightning Lanes, you can always grab it a little after 7 and then hit the snooze button. Thanks for watching! 😃
I went to Disney over Christmas break and it was rly crowded. We ended up getting in every ride at least twice and most other at least 3 with rope dropping. Sleeping in would be nice but I recommend rope dropping the Studios. U could sleep on at the other parks tho.
Thanks Rob! We love your videos! You’ve been a life saver for us in the past!! And I enjoy watching every single one of your videos! Question for ya - If you modify a LL, does that become your most recent LL? For example, in this video, if you had modified slinky instead of MFSR, would slinky have become your most recent and you could have tapped in there, or would it still recognize MFSR as your most recent?
Hi Kendra! Good question, but unfortunately it does not. Every modified Lightning Lane will behave exactly like the original Lightning Lane that was booked before modification. The two hours count down from that initial booking and any LL booked thereafter will become the most recent. Thanks for watching! 😃
Thank you again for such a great video. I love your Genie Plus strategy videos. Is there a way you can post your timeline that happened during this day in your description box? I know it's in the video, but would like to take a closer look, and make sure I understand that 2 hour clock. That seems to be my biggest hangup (even though you go over it in your video). I'm almost hesitant booking Slinky Dog so late in the day. Seems like whenever I go to HW that ride is down. Even tried rope dropping it and it was down.
On a busy park day, would slinky sell out before park open do you think? I just don't want to sleep in and miss slinky (it's a must do for my kiddos). I get nervous so ill probably always get up at 7am lol but wanted your thoughts on it. Great video as always Rob, I plan to use this strategy on our next trip to enjoy more resort time during the day. I always recommend your channel to anyone with Genie plus questions! ❤
Hi Daphne! I would say it is rare for Slinky to be completely gone by the time the park opens, but it can happen on very busy days. Even if it shows as gone, I would say it is almost certain that you would get it by playing the slots for a little bit in the morning. If you want to be extra safe, get it before 7:30 or so. Hope you have an amazing trip - thanks for making our videos part of your plan. 😀
@Ear Scouts I was there last Wednesday during a busy day. We rope dropped slinky and got a LL for MMRR for 10:30am when booking at 7am. I was playing the slots all day keeping Slinky at the top of the tip board along with my other priority ride and never once did I see Slinky available for any time that day. I know it's luck but even when we left the park at 7pm I still didn't see any availability for slinky...and the standby wait was 2+ hours all day. Thanks again for your videos. We absolutely used your advice to take advantage to get on 80-85% of the rides at Disney. Your advice definitely made our first trip to Disney a much more memorable one.
@@Newfeeflip9 That’s surprising, but good to know. Was your party larger than 4, by chance? Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to let us know how your trip went - we really appreciate it!
@@EarScouts we had a party of 4. Funny enough as we were waiting for our bus to leave the park I was showing a stranger how to play the slots and slinky became available. She quickly grabbed the return time on her phone and got off the bus to go back and ride it with her family!
I'm not the biggest morning person, but I can wake up early when I have to - which is why when I go to the parks in May, I'm gonna try to employ a hybrid technique, where I wake up at 7am to book my first Genie+ and ILL, but make it no earlier than like 10 AM so I can fall back asleep for a bit. I think we'll still get to ride everything, we still get what feels like a full park day in, and we avoid the rush of rope droppers... Your videos have been so helpful in getting this plan figured out lol
I think that sounds like a good plan, especially if you're planning to stay until park close. I always recommend having either rope drop or park close in your plan because those are the two most productive periods of the typical park day. Hope you have an amazing vacation and thanks for making our videos part of your planning process. 😃
@@EarScouts Oh yeah, definitely gonna close out the parks!! We aren't huge fireworks people either, so we're planning on using that time to hop on Jungle Cruise or Big Thunder, or whatever else we hadn't gotten done yet :)
When you grab the LL at 7am you may end up getting a return time before 10am. Just grab it and modify it because if you back out and try to get a different return time you might get an even worse return time. Grab what you can get at 7am and then try to modify it if it's not to your liking. Just as an aside but after grabbing my LL at 7am and trying to modify the time shortly after that no actual return times showed up. Maybe Rob will know if there's a time that the return times start appearing or maybe it was a glitch for me but I only noticed the return times showing as we were on the way to the parks for early entry.
I love your videos! I didn’t know about stacking! Quick question 😅 can I modify the time just before the time hits for my attraction ? Example: big thunder has been booked at 9 am and I have the time for that 9:30 am , can I modify the hour like you say to later in the evening ?
Hi Bryanna - that’s a GREAT time to come. Lower crowd levels, cooler temperatures, less chance of rain. The only downside is that Disney tends to do refurbishments right after the holidays, but they try to stagger them so not too much is closed at the same time.
This is Craig Dennis how are the crowds been this moth and how is the weather been moth i watch your new videos all the time i in joy all of your videos all the time you have a nice safe day today and you take care today👍👍👍👍👍
Hi Craig - good to hear from you. The weather and crowds have both been crazy. 😂 One day it is hot and we go swimming and the next day it is so sold we need to wear coats. I think it is finally about to be nice and warm for the rest of the season, but we're still in a little bit of a cold snap. As for the crowds, there have been a LOT of Spring Breakers. Erick and I were at Magic Kingdom the other day and saw the longest line for security we have ever experienced. This week has been a little better, though. Hopefully the crowds will get smaller after Easter. Hope you have a great week - don't forget to think happy thoughts. 😃
I'm sure I've heard it in other Ear Scouts videos but I'll also add for those confused about when you can book your next LL it will tell you in the MDE app when you're able to do it again if you're not badging into the most recent booking which restarts your booking ability .
@@EarScouts I mentioned this in another comment below... After grabbing my LL at 7am and trying to modify the time shortly after that no actual return times showed up. Do you see times usually when trying to modify it that soon after booking at 7am? Maybe it was a glitch for me I have no idea.
Wondering - is it even possible to do everything in HS WITHOUT Genie+??? Would love to hear your opinion on this! We love your vids, so informative and helpful! You gave me the courage to try Genie+ a few weeks ago, after dragging my feet for a year!
Great videos I like your mouse ears can you pick the time that you want to ride of the lightning Lane ticket can you pick which time you want to use it for what time you want to ride the rides for when you get the lightning Lane pass for for the rides
Hello! We have one for MK already. You can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/B_kL5RtYHAg/v-deo.html We’re planning to do the others soon. Thanks for watching! 😃
Can you do the stacking and the other method together? I'm still a little confused whats the difference and if you have genie plus does it cost money every lightning lane?
Hello again - I have not used it much - only as a member of a group where someone had DAS. For that, you just wait whatever the posted wait is and then you are free to ride. You can use DAS and Genie at the same time to get a lot done very quickly.
When I play the "Genie Slots" will it give me options for later in the day? Or just better options than my current reservation. For example, If I book Slinky Dog for early morning, but I actually want to stack my rides for the evening, will refreshing the screen give me later time options?
Hey Rob! Thanks for all the knowledge infos and great videos about Disney World. I learned a lot from you bud. Me and my fiancé will celebrate our honeymoon in Disney World this coming May. Can i ask a question? We have ADR at Hollywood & Vine at 8:30am. I’m aware that the cast members will allow us 30 mins prior to our ADR. Can we use that 30 mins to ride some attractions like Rise of the Resistance? Thank you so much! Keep up the good work and God bless
Hello and congratulations! 🎉 If you have early entry because you are staying at a qualifying resort hotel, you could definitely try to squeeze in a ride before breakfast. I wouldn’t recommend Rise because you would very likely be late for breakfast - it’s a very long ride and can take 20 minutes even if you’re at the very front of the line. If you do not have early entry, this would get trickier. Let me check with a Cast Member and let you know what they say, but my suspicion is that they may only allow you to enter and head to the restaurant, not queue for a ride. Thanks for watching! 😃
Hi Sergio - I actually film everything with my iPhone 14 Pro. I also use a DJI OM6 gimbal to keep it smooth: www.amazon.com/dp/B0B7XD7R43/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_S8SGYYKVE8YGE30SVMF5?linkCode=ml1&tag=earscouts-20 (Note that we make a small commission if you buy with our Amazon links) Thanks for watching! 😃
This video is so helpful! We plan to do AK in morning and hop to HS after 2pm. My question: no modifying in a park you are not in? I learned about the "plan your next park day" from a previous video. Once I secure a Lightning lane do I have to be in HS to modify return time?
Hi Stacey - what we mean is that if the Lightning Lane you are actively modifying is a ride in a different park, you wouldn’t be able to change it to a ride in the current park. It doesn’t matter which park you are physically in. If you book Hollywood Studios rides all day while you’re physically at Epcot, it will be fine to modify them to other Hollywood Studios rides. You just wouldn’t be able to turn a reservation for Spaceship Earth at Epcot into one for Slinky Dog Dash at Hollywood Studios. Does that make sense? Thanks for watching! 😃
Good info! But is there a way for you to summarize the timeline of when you booked and modified your rides somewhere in the description or in the video? Thank you!
Hello! It is there around 3:18 in the video. I didn't actually have to play the slots much at all. The later ones I may have played the slots for a few minutes, but I didn't end up modifying beyond that. We got pretty lucky with great return times. Thanks for watching! 😃
If you only had one day of your entire life at Hollywood Studios, would you stack rides and then try to ride Rise or you you run to Rise first and then try to stack? Going the first week of August if that helps.
Ear Scouts HELP 😢 please do a video on Tron Virtual Que I need to know the best time and stadiges to get into the que .I'm new to everything trying to watch all your videos but still confused with the Virtual Que trying to ride for my Birthday in August coming the week of the 20th 🤦♀️ Thank you
There is something I don't understand. If you are planning on using the "stacking strategy", wouldn't you receive very early return times when you are still NOT at the parks? I mean, let's say I wanto to go to Hollywood Studios at 3pm but I start the stacking strategy at 7am. Wouldn't I receive a return time for Slinky Dog, let's say, at 11am? I understand that you cannot control the return times you will get.
Hello - great question. This is why I started booking at park open rather than at 7am. Since the two hour rule doesn't start counting until park opens and you are likely to find return times that are too early, it is only beneficial to book at 7am if you are planning to be in the park within two hours of its opening time. That said, if you book a ride too early, you can just use the modify feature and you'll be able to get a later time very easily. Thanks for watching! 😃
Remember he also said it depends on the time of year. Some rides sell out of LL within minutes of 7 am during peak season, so you'd probably want to book those shortly after 7 am to avoid missing it completely. For example, Slinky Dog Dash sells out pretty quick so I'd still try to get that at 7 am on busy days as it could still be 5 or 6 pm shortly after 7 am.
Hi Andy - I think we ended up waiting about 50 minutes. We left the park right at 9pm. I can’t remember if it closed at 9 or 9:30 that night. Thanks for watching! 😃
Hi Thomas! I typically include that info when I’m not using Genie Plus. With the Genie, it’s always a pretty short wait. Almost always less than 5 minutes and rarely more than 10. Thanks for watching! 😃
As long as you don’t have more than 2 in the same hour, you should be fine. I often have two rides booked for roughly the same time and it is typically not a problem to do both. Keep in mind that you have a grace period of 5 minutes before your return window and 20 minutes after, so you have a good bit of leeway. Now you wouldn’t want 3 at the same time, but if the third overlaps just a little (say 15 minutes of overlap) it’s still probably fine. That said, do you want to hustle from ride to ride? It’s really a matter of personal preference how tightly you want to book. Hope that helps!
Hello! No worries - Genie Plus is very confusing. 😅 You can book your next ride after one of these things happens: 1) You tap in and ride the most recent Lightning Lane that you have booked 2) The most recent Lightning Lane that you booked expires without you using it 3) After 2 hours have passed from the time you booked the most recent Lightning Lane (unless you booked it before park open, in which case it is 2 hours after park open). Whichever of these conditions is met first will allow you to book again. Stacking is when you use the 2-hour condition repeatedly to book rides for later in the day. Every two hours, you book another until you have a little “stack” of rides lined up. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching! 😃
Hey Rob! Can you please elaborate a little bit on the info you were talking about at the 10:00 min mark in the video? Or link me to another video with those details? That is the information I've been searching for for like 2 years and never heard anyone ever explain it! Why doesn't Disney say that?
When we were in the parks last year we always got stuck in the 2-hr rule. How do you avoid that and utilize the "tap in and redeem next LL" feature? We would book 1 and 7am, then the next 2hrs after park opened, but then we are always stuck in the 2hr rule? Help! :)
Hey Brian - it’s really confusing because there are a couple of little exceptions to the rules as people think they understand them. If your goal is to avoid getting stuck in the 2 hour rule, always try to book rides with return times that are very soon. If you don’t see a quick return time, book the best you can get and modify it to hopefully improve the return time by “playing the Genie Slots” (refreshing the view to show updated - and hopefully better - return times). When you tap in at the ride, that will free you up to book another Lightning Lane. If you are unsuccessful at getting a quick return time, you will have to wait two hours to book the next one. Those two hours start counting the moment you initially booked that Lightning Lane UNLESS you booked it before the park opened. In that case, the two hours start counting the moment the park opens (early entry doesn’t count, it is based on regular opening time). Now, let’s say you use the two hour rule and then book ride number 2. Tapping in at ride number 2 will free you to book another ride. Tapping in at ride number 1 does nothing, because it is no longer the thing that is blocking you. The thing that is blocking you now is the most recent Lightning Lane that you’ve booked. Does that help? Thanks for watching! 😃
Hi Cheryl! I assume what you mean by this is can two Lightning Lane return times overlap and the answer is yes! You are free to book multiple rides with the same (or similar) return times. Thanks for watching! 😃
Hi John - we made this video just before Rock 'n' Roller Coaster went down for refurbishment. Disney has stated it will reopen this summer, which is particularly long for a standard refurbishment. Hopefully it will be back up by Memorial Day, but there is no exact date just yet. Thanks for watching! 😃
You can start stacking rides with your first booking at 7am. Even if it is earlier than you want to arrive, just keep modifying the reservation to get it to a time you prefer - it won’t reset the two hour clock when you modify an existing Lightning Lane. Thanks for watching! 😃
Do you think stacking and going int the afternoon is a better strategy for young kids? My kids struggle in lines so Genie + is definitely the was to go but with the heat etc. there only so many hours they’ll last.
Hi Kate! I think it depends on your kids and their sleep schedules. If they prefer waking up later and staying up later, I think this is totally the way to go. It’s definitely the best way to avoid much waiting around between rides. You can set it up to go-go-go.
Hello! If your party is less than 5 and you are not there on one of the busiest days of the year, you should be fine at 9am. And even if one of those is true, you should still be able to get it, you might just have to play the slots for a while.
Hi Thomas! Will you be leaving the park after early entry? If so, I think this is a great strategy. If you plan to stay in the park, though, I’d try to stack as little as possible. If you can book a ride with a quick return time, that will free you up to book another as soon as you ride it. You would get a lot more done in a shorter amount of time if you just played the Genie Slots and aimed for really quick return times so you could turn around and book the next one. That said, stacking frees you up to do other things like dining, shopping and shows. If that’s your goal, stacking can also be a great strategy. Thanks for watching! 😃
Yes the plan is to do early entry and all the tough rides until noon and then go back to the hotel for naps and meanwhile stack until we come back at 5 pm for another 2-3 hours.
It certainly wasn’t at peak crowd levels, but it was pretty average crowd-wise. Genie was $21 that day, which is a good barometer. You wouldn’t see Tower of Terror at 90 minutes when it is running at full capacity on a dead day. We got lucky with Rise as it had been a 90 minute wait when we arrived at the park.
Hi Leigh Anne - yes, it is currently down. We made this just before the refurbishment started. I don’t think Disney has officially confirmed a retheme, but that has been rumored. Thanks for watching! 😃
Or for a nap if you’re traveling with toddlers 😊. Love your videos so much. Thanks for everything you do!
@@tfoxx32 , I was just gonna add what you recommended. Rob great video again with easy to understand steps on how things work.
Great idea!
Awesome - nicely done! 🙌 We love hearing about people’s visits to the park so thank you for sharing. 😃
I don’t think I have ever commented. But watch and rewatch your videos. This is my absolute favorite Disney vlogging channel!! You are the best!
Wow - that’s the highest compliment we can receive - thank you so much! 😃

Hi Rob, just wanted to give you and update on my family trip of 12 at magic kingdom yesterday, everything you taught me worked 100% , we road every ride but 5 rides. We had the most amazing day , and a lot of this was because of your help.
Thanks again for being so helpful
Hi Ho Rob,
I just wanted to let you know that since watching all your videos, you made our 2 year old's birthday trip this week to all the parks, MAGICAL!!!
Thank you! 😄
Thank you for this. I like to get up early, but my family likes to sleep in. This is very helpful.
Thank you so much for your explanation and recommendations
Went to three parks and follow your tips!!!
Did all Hollywood studios and epcot we even did character dining my daughter expressions where priceless
Awesome - so glad to hear it, Anthony. 😃
Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to let us know how your trip went - we really appreciate it!
Thanks for the video! This is so helpful! Would you be open in doing a video for a 2 park in one day with park hopper starting from Animal Kingdom to Hollywood Studios? I’m wondering how that itinerary would look like 😅
I think this is also great for an arrival day. I fly in early on a Sunday so I was thinking of doing this and stacking a bunch for MK in the evening.
I hadn’t even thought about that, but you’re right. This is perfect for folks flying in with a shorter day at their first park. Thanks for watching! 😃
Such a good idea !
Solid video, especially utilizing the new modify LL capability!
Another great video!! I’m feeling good about our upcoming trip because of all your videos!!
Hi Athena - thanks so much for making our videos part of your Disney planning. We’re so glad you’re feeling good about your trip, that’s always our goal. 😀
Hola Rob! Happy you did this video cause probably will do this park at noon and you have answered a huge question I had. Gracias.
Your videos always bring a smile to my face. Such awesome positivity! I'm finally gonna go back to Orlando this fall. First time in 5 years.
I'm pretty confident I can master Genie+ through your videos. And congrats on the 25...uhm....26k 😉 subs!
Yes! I was literally just saying I wish you had a video like this. Thank you for the valuable content!!!
Thank YOU so much for watching and leaving this lovely comment. 😊
Thank you for all your content!
I’ve been looking for a video like this for our upcoming trip. Thank you so much!!
We’re glad you found it - thanks for watching! 😃
Omg, exactly what I needed this morning. Afternoon HS arrival today. ❤
Hope it’s going well! Thanks for watching! 😃
Just finished my 3-day WDW trip! Thank you so much for your tips! Everything worked perfectly 😁
Thanks so much, Amy! Hopefully our paths cross while you’re here. And thanks for the suggestions for future content. 😃
Yay another sleep in video. Thank you so much :)
Thank YOU so much for watching and supporting our channel, Timea. 😀
This is amazing... is there one for Epcot, I don't seem to find it
Rob, I love your videos on how to sleep in and do all the rides.
@@EarScouts, right I really enjoyed the lazy river at blizzard beach. So relaxing after hitting the parks all week 😌
That’s good to know. Thanks! Glad you got to ride it at rope drop.
Awesome! 💯
Thanks Ear Scouts team !
Thank YOU for watching, Marcus! 😃
This was helpful thanks, question is there a limit of how many people in your group can you book at a time we are a group of 20?
Big Thunder during the fireworks is amazing. It’s my favorite thing to do when I’m not watching in front of the castle.
Thanks for another great video! Do you know how the crowds will be in mid January like a week or two after New Years?
Hi Bryanna - that’s a GREAT time to come. Lower crowd levels, cooler temperatures, less chance of rain. The only downside is that Disney tends to do refurbishments right after the holidays, but they try to stagger them so not too much is closed at the same time.
I love videos that can be used by us folks without early entry (staying off-property :()
Correct - in the little blue bar at the top of the Tip Board. This is a good thing to remind people. Thanks!
@@EarScouts I mentioned this in another comment below...
After grabbing my LL at 7am and trying to modify the time shortly after that no actual return times showed up. Do you see times usually when trying to modify it that soon after booking at 7am? Maybe it was a glitch for me I have no idea.
You're the best Rob!...Now I can make that breakfast reservation at Trattoria al Forno and not worry about running to HS like a crazy woman...😂 😜💜 🤞
Wondering - is it even possible to do everything in HS WITHOUT Genie+??? Would love to hear your opinion on this! We love your vids, so informative and helpful! You gave me the courage to try Genie+ a few weeks ago, after dragging my feet for a year!
Thank you! Want to try this strategy on our next vacation. Very helpful! Love your videos!
Thanks so much, Michelle! You’ll have to let us know how it goes. Thanks for watching! 😃
Do you recommend the sleep in method for all parks and is it a better way to ride vs rope drop? Do you like rope drop better?
Great videos I like your mouse ears can you pick the time that you want to ride of the lightning Lane ticket can you pick which time you want to use it for what time you want to ride the rides for when you get the lightning Lane pass for for the rides
Can you do this with epcot?
haha when we were at the park last week it was PACKED, it took us a whole day to do everything at the park
Can you please do a sleep in one for the other parks? Epcot, MK, AK?? This is what I’ve been looking for!!!!

@@EarScouts you are awesome thank you!!!!!!!!
what is a return window?
Can you do the stacking and the other method together? I'm still a little confused whats the difference and if you have genie plus does it cost money every lightning lane?
How long did you wait for ROR? Looks like you got in line around 7pm
With a party of 5 do you have any tip, is it better to split up? 3+2?
My family will love it if I let them sleep in a few days! We will give this a try.
Do you have any tips/experience for using the DAS pass?
@@EarScouts Thank you Rob! Love your videos bud. More power and blessings

@@EarScouts Thank you very much! just started watching your videos (I'm going to Disney World on October) and the couldn't be more helpful! :)
I'm assuming you paid the extra for the individual LL right ?
Hi Rob! Did you do regular line this time for ROR or did you buy the ILL?
Yes! I can sleep in and still succeed ;))
Every now and then you actually CAN get the best of both worlds. 😂 Thanks for watching!
Yes thank you!
Oops! I totally missed seeing that. Thank you!!
If you only had one day of your entire life at Hollywood Studios, would you stack rides and then try to ride Rise or you you run to Rise first and then try to stack? Going the first week of August if that helps.
Ear Scouts HELP 😢 please do a video on Tron Virtual Que I need to know the best time and stadiges to get into the que .I'm new to everything trying to watch all your videos but still confused with the Virtual Que trying to ride for my Birthday in August coming the week of the 20th 🤦♀️

It is on the list and coming soon - thanks so much for watching our videos! 😃
How long did you wait for ROR?? Also, what time did you leave the park?
Hi Andy - I think we ended up waiting about 50 minutes. We left the park right at 9pm. I can’t remember if it closed at 9 or 9:30 that night. Thanks for watching! 😃
Does the theme park open clock count for extra magic hours? like would it start at 8 rather than 8:30, when they let everyone else into the park?
Hi Casey - we wish it did, but sadly it starts at regular park opening time. Thanks for watching! 😃
Could you let us kno how long you're actually waiting line
Hi Thomas! I typically include that info when I’m not using Genie Plus. With the Genie, it’s always a pretty short wait. Almost always less than 5 minutes and rarely more than 10. Thanks for watching! 😃
How much time do you have to leave between rides when stacking?
As long as you don’t have more than 2 in the same hour, you should be fine. I often have two rides booked for roughly the same time and it is typically not a problem to do both. Keep in mind that you have a grace period of 5 minutes before your return window and 20 minutes after, so you have a good bit of leeway. Now you wouldn’t want 3 at the same time, but if the third overlaps just a little (say 15 minutes of overlap) it’s still probably fine. That said, do you want to hustle from ride to ride? It’s really a matter of personal preference how tightly you want to book. Hope that helps!
Im confused I thought you could only book one after riding one? Can you explain stacking?
@EarScouts I think I got it now. Watched more of your vids. Your amazing
I woke up at 6:55
:(
Doesn’t seem to work for me because they sell too many and they’re booked late into the day right out of the gate and I can’t stay past 3:00 pm
Can you book two different attractions with Genie + at the same time?
Hi Cheryl! I assume what you mean by this is can two Lightning Lane return times overlap and the answer is yes! You are free to book multiple rides with the same (or similar) return times. Thanks for watching! 😃
When does rock n roller coaster gonna be down for refurbishment?
Hi John - we made this video just before Rock 'n' Roller Coaster went down for refurbishment. Disney has stated it will reopen this summer, which is particularly long for a standard refurbishment. Hopefully it will be back up by Memorial Day, but there is no exact date just yet. Thanks for watching! 😃
Can you only stack in the afternoon? Can you start around 11am?
You can start stacking rides with your first booking at 7am. Even if it is earlier than you want to arrive, just keep modifying the reservation to get it to a time you prefer - it won’t reset the two hour clock when you modify an existing Lightning Lane. Thanks for watching! 😃
@@EarScouts thank you !! You’re videos are awesome 💜💜💜
how old is this? Hasn't Rock n roller coaster been under renovation for a month now?
Hi Jag - we filmed this on February 11. It takes us a long time to edit our videos and we usually have a backlog of content waiting to be edited.
Do you think stacking and going int the afternoon is a better strategy for young kids? My kids struggle in lines so Genie + is definitely the was to go but with the heat etc. there only so many hours they’ll last.
Are you staying nearby the parks? I have a good idea for you
@@thomashorvath3394 yes! We’re staying at AOA and going to all parks.
Is there a way to DM here??
@@thomashorvath3394 I’m honestly not sure!
Hi Kate! I think it depends on your kids and their sleep schedules. If they prefer waking up later and staying up later, I think this is totally the way to go. It’s definitely the best way to avoid much waiting around between rides. You can set it up to go-go-go.
So are we saying we can “sleep in” and still be able to book Slinky Dog just before 9am? Or is that too risky?
Hello! If your party is less than 5 and you are not there on one of the busiest days of the year, you should be fine at 9am. And even if one of those is true, you should still be able to get it, you might just have to play the slots for a while.
@@EarScouts thanks! Party of 1 (just my brother). Just found your channel, it’s great!!
Great video. I have a hybrid strategy (early entry and stacking) that would work great for young families and would love to hear feedback.
Let me know
Rob the park wasnt very crowdy at all
It certainly wasn’t at peak crowd levels, but it was pretty average crowd-wise. Genie was $21 that day, which is a good barometer. You wouldn’t see Tower of Terror at 90 minutes when it is running at full capacity on a dead day. We got lucky with Rise as it had been a 90 minute wait when we arrived at the park.
@@EarScouts maybe you can one when its $29 now with Spring Break. Love your Chanel!
I thought Rocking Rollercoaster was down for rebranding?
It is. I'm sure the video was made before the shut down.
Hi Leigh Anne - yes, it is currently down. We made this just before the refurbishment started. I don’t think Disney has officially confirmed a retheme, but that has been rumored. Thanks for watching! 😃
Exactly. We filmed this one in February.
