- The NEW A5 coupe has some changes made by Audi for 2020. Under the hood is a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 that is producing 248HP & mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. On the outside your will find revised sheetmetal, front fascia, headlights, wheels and rear bumper. On the inside there is a standard 10in infotainment screen and some upgraded materials. Is the updated 2020 Audi A5 coupe a good luxury car made better?

The new Audi infotainment system is superb. However I agree with you Joe that for the A4 & A5 the integration of the screen isn’t nice. Fine if they didn’t want to fully integrate as with the A7, Q8 etc but they could have recessed the screen a bit more into the dash.

It is facelift A4, Q5, A5 are entry level they won’t have integrated like touchscreen in 2.5 years which is next generation B10 it now B9.5 facelift. Yes the 2021 A3 has one it next generation now A4/A5 is not.
Ronmake they did it with the Q7 facelift. Audi shouldn’t be complacent to keep the same style dashboard that’s already basically been around for years. Other brands are moving fast.

Audi has best headlights and rear lights in the game. They started LED DRL trend remember back in 2007 there was 2008 R8 and 2008 S5,. 2010 Audi R8 had full LED headlights

Beautiful interior color and my gosh lines on lines...looks very strong similar presence to how clean cut but strong the rims appear on closer look. My main thing is the screen looks like it was an afterthought. Great review as always Joe👍

I totally agree about the roof, but it's not a huge problem considering one could easily wrap the rest of the roof in black vinyl

The clickwheel is much easier to use and you don't have to constantly clean the smudged up display from a glossy touchscreen. People complaining about just saved Audi a lot of money and instead they just gave you a hole in the center console that doesn't even fit many modern phones.. With the clickwheel, the palm rests on the flat shifter and you write with it in a moving car. An outstretched arm doing that on a touchscreen is far less intuitive.
Beautiful car. Even though the exhaust is connected they should have at least went with a round dual exhaust set up.

The electric models and those with the number 6 or greater in their name have the best interior, since the screen is in the dash. Here it's just slapped on.

I read this comment area before I watched the portion of the video in question. I said to myself what could be the problem, then I saw it. Damn, that screen isn’t right, that’s a violation. I like the size of it, but looks someone welded an iPad on the dash. But with a screen that size I don’t see how you integrate it in the dash. Reminds me of a police car.
A5!! One of my favourite Audi models of all time! Overall looks are gorgeous as always 👌🏻 The design of both headlights and taillights are beautiful.

I think 2013 B8.5 facelift is best looking A5 exterior wise that design still look good in 2020
I loved the A5 I had... But had to have the 4 doors. Traded the A5 for the A4. No regrets. Another great review. Thanks Joe.

Very nice test Joe, especially how she drives into the roundabout, I think it's good to test the car from time to time that he really can. Great, I hope you can continue to do that. With the old A6, you could still sink the infotainment system, which would be a good idea.

S-Line package on my "16 A6 included tighter sport suspension. Wasn't just aesthetics on my car unless I'm mistaken.

Glad I just went with the 2019 S5, the screen is smaller and the edges are rounded, this new screen is hideous...and correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t even think you put the massive tachometer in the middle of the virtual cockpit anymore...

Sehr schöner Test Joe, vor allem wie die in den Kreisverkehr fährtst, dass finde ich gut um den wagen auch mal etwas zu testen was er wirklich kann. Toll, ich hoffe Du kannst das auch weiterhin so machen. Beim Alten A6 konnte man das infotainment system noch versenken, wäre jetzt auch noch ne gut Idee.

I just got a new 2020 audi s5 coupe in daytona grey with the black optics package and the magma red interior with carbon fiber. Love the rims and the quad exhaust and the car is so sexy with that dark grey exterior with red interior😍😁 although this a5 is nice too! I also want to get the new 3 series bmw m340i

I’m a 2018 S5 owner. I like the new upgraded “dancing lights”. Happy to see the front honeycomb grill are standard on this model. But I don’t understand why they change the infotainment screen to a touch screen. I know a lot of automakers nowadays love to add some big touch screens but I think touch screen is not as handy as the old school one with physical buttons. Especially when you are driving you have to shift your eyes off the road to change some settings and write down the address. This is really distracting while you are driving. This trend should stop! Ah, also the fake exhaust. Stop it automakers!

Sharp body lines, no need for that tiny side logo, and the rear is clean, with edge design. Wouldn't have guessed it to be a tic, under $50,000.00

Center console looks bland, forward of the shifter.
Business side needs improvement, agree with the display integration.
The ride, is till true Audi, which is hard to criticize.
For a two door coupe, daily driver, you can't go wrong.

I like it but I'd still prefer the BMW M4 with the white on white or Blue on white with those nice big blue brake calipers.

I don't think the fake vents are always a zonk. It doesn't look as good on some cars, but they work here. The way the bumper is shaped, smooth black wouldn't look as good and smooth white would definitely be strange.

I'm not totally sold on the new front end. It looks sort of like a Hyundai Sonata. But overall, it's still an attractive coupe and much much much better looking than the sportback.
