Way forward 1. Judicial strength: Vacancy, Strength, Ad-hoc, Salary. 2. Court hours at least 8 hours a day( Gujarat Model), More law researcher to supplement judges. 3. Frequent Adjournment practice should be checked. 4. Cost of litigation should be high( I believe it's morally and constitutionally wrong argument). 5. Government should lessen litigation, Economic Survey suggests, restrained litigation for tax officials as success rate just 29%. 6. Scientific court management, judges should delegate administrative jobs to court managers. 7. Seating in holidays too. 8. Improve quality of judges, as efficient judges lead to faster resolution of cases. 9. Law colleges should be more focused towards producing judges than lawyers (long term solution).
What Justice Narayana put in: 1. Conflicts between different wings of Judiciary causing pendency, coordinated efforts required from all the three wings in a synchronized manner 2. Delayed appointments 3. Retirement age of judges should be increase or provision of retirement should be removed completely 4. Both sides are responsible, i.e., the Judges and the advocates.
Speed of (or lack of) speech of the former Judge of AP and his long...pauses; provides a rare glimpse of the long delays and large number of adjournments in Judicial system.
*Narayana's wife*: Can you bring a glass of water for me. *Speed Narayana*: Yesssssss.............. (2 hours later) Defenetely ........ I will (3hours later) Bring Some Water...... (5 hours later) Just wait for a minute. 😂😂😂😂
with due respect, justice narayana was too slow articulating his thoughts.Perhaps that is the reason Frank chose to close the show by the remarks of J sai deepak. Completely agree with Sai deepak that cost of litigation should not be increased.Infact people choose not to go court for the very reason of its cost and the cumbersome lengthy process. nice topic.tnx rs tv
Sai Deepak👍.Special courts can be established for pending cases.Trivial cases has to be transferred to subordinate courts.Leadership qualities have to be groomed in law graduates.
justice p.s narayan thinking about his pending case hahah while aswering the question .. thank god he is former judge if he is not retire definitely thousand case pending in his court
I was smiling throughout the show...😁 When Mr Frank told Respected Judge to be brief I enjoyed his reaction @ 17:45 ...I wish I had grandfather like this or even a neighbour... amazing relatively...
The burden on the exchequer can be avoided by increasing the fees that the courts charges especially corporate cases and cases of various profound institutions. These clients pay hefty amount to the advocates then why not they be charged by the courts and let this money be used to meet the further requirements of judiciary.
Thanks Frank for the show once again.... Helpful in understanding the nitty-gritty of the judicial pendency... Good discussion...except former judge's slow response..😊
please rise it's According to the National Judicial Data Grid, as on Monday, September 17 evening around 23 lakh cases, which are over a decade old, are pending in various subordinate courts of the country. These cases constitute 8.29 per cent of the total nearly 2.50 crore cases pending in the lower courts. Of these, nearly 6 lakh cases are civil in nature and nearly 17 lakh are criminal in nature. Civil cases usually involve private disputes between persons or organisations. Criminal cases involve an action that is considered to be harmful to society as a whole. thanks.................
Former judge is saying to increase the retiring age of judges...it's ironic situation after listening to justice and dn jai said Deepak... definitely we want lawyers like him type to be the future judges...
Thanq Mr Frank Periera for yr enamoured smile while welcoming the viewers of RSTV. Also thanq for highlighting the most important nagging issues of judiciary. Because the judges are reluctant to give up their pivileges n perquites...
there is a need to solve the pending cases quickly but it must be also taken care that justice is not ignored . I think jury system have a lot of problems because of that this system was removed.
Which kind of guest do you invite which hasn't skill of communication, plz invite guest who have knowledge of subject and good communication skill and also change the guest
Why pending? At least 5 crore cases are filed every year and judges dispose of only 2 crore Current Judge to population ratio is 10 to 1 million but the Law commission report in 1987 recommends atleast 50 to 1 million The government is the largest litigant in India, responsible for nearly half the pending cases Low judicial quality in lower courts ARCHAIC LAWS OR VAGUE DRAFTING OF LAWS budgetary allocations for the whole judiciary are a pathetic .1% to .4% of the whole budget and moreover modernization and computerisation have not reached all courts Colonial legacies like paid long vacations SOLUTIONS DOBLE THE NUMBER OF JUDGES AND CREATE ALL INDIA JUDICIAL SERVICE MORE COURTS_ FTCs,lok Adalats, and Gram nyalayas JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED AND JUSTICE HURRIED IS JUSTICE BURIED

With this Condition of pending of cases the effective democracy becomes very weak as it is being the guardian of constitution as well as can give justice to citizens.
The Hon'ble justice (retd) took about 19 sec to be precise to decide on the nature of the question! And that gives an insight into how long it would take for a good judge like him to dispose a case altogether ! Anyway...lot of perspectives bundled together !
I am appalled at Ashok Bagaria's view to increase the cost of litigation ! He is advocating bringing down pendency of cases by denying millions of poor access to ustice by raising cost of litigation. We must encourage time bound institutional as well as freelance mediation by specifically licensed and practicing advocates as an alternative to institutional litigation. If the matter is mediated within 6 months there should be no cost to the parties. Beyond 6 months each party must be penalised RS 5000 per sitting. The licensed mediators should be felicitated by the Govt for good performance and punctuality of completion of matters and will recieve remuneration from the Govt. For civil matters, we must be open to commercial mediation.
With all due respects, Expression on other panelists faces when Justice Narayana is speaking cant be missed :) Even the anchor looks pissed off !!! In addition, is he here to discuss this very critical topic or advocate is own employment beyond retirement age?
Frank says "Justice Narayana... Quickly final comments..." I laughed out on how strange the judge's name and the word 'quickly' sound in one sentence. With his speed its understandable how he spent a whole day with one hearing. God bless him... Keep him "hail and hearty"! 🙏
Look lik the debate is more going towards the blame game rather them finding a solution.... look at one's glimpsing faces... when other one is countering..... any way overall fine debate......
After listening to the Respected judge...I fully understand why cases are pending!!!! Very UNFORTUNATE
Deepak Kumar that's True

Seeing narayana we could easily understand why there is a huge pendency of cases in courts.. Lol
Frank sir! Patient are you in your moderating skills!! It was a pleasure to listen to J.Sai Deepak sir...thank you
It's miserable to listen him. Hats off to other panelists and anchor for their patience . Collegium system advantage's.

Mr.sai Deepak should be brought more often , his approach is very pragmatic
Justice took half the show time

Expression of Frank when Justice was talking 😂😂😂😅😅😅😅
Thanks Frank for the show once again.... Helpful in understanding the nitty-gritty of the judicial pendency... Good discussion...except former judge's slow response..😊
With all due respect, Justice Narayana is the reason why UA-cam has provided the 1.5x speed.
just imagine that judge in a arnab goswami debate :D
Hahah hahaha. Arnab Goswami would have committed Suicide live on TV
Justice Narayan sir articulated good points
He could have done it with 5 minutes
I think he may be suffering difficulty in speech

Watching at 1.5x speed and still waiting for judge naryana to speak his next word , and Sai Deepak as usual no nonsense and on point statements. 👌👌
Couldn't stop smiling at 17:50 when Honourable panelist has made me recall a scene from TWM Returns. (Without any offense to anyone).
This is a good question
you are a good question
your question hurts me.

Expression on the face of Frank on listening to the H'ble Judge... hahahahaha
Can jury system help in solving pendency? Not for sensitive national or religious cases but atleast in district level cases
there is a need to solve the pending cases quickly but it must be also taken care that justice is not ignored . I think jury system have a lot of problems because of that this system was removed.
@@abhilashjena4718 yeah there are problems in jury ,but that still exists in uk usa ,why don't we take clue from them?
Well, that was an interesting discussion! 😁
At the end of the day, You are a gem;FRP!!!!🙂
Justice Narayana, damn fit for reappointment..
Narayan 😂😂😂😂😂😂 make my day👍
Speed of speaking of justice itself explain why there is pendancy
Which kind of guest do you invite which hasn't skill of communication, plz invite guest who have knowledge of subject and good communication skill and also change the guest
8.20 j sai deepak's reaction was so epic...... It was as if he was sitting in a very boring teacher's lecture and suddenly Frank woke him up.
Justice Narayan...🤣🤣🤣🤘
It is high time for all India judicial services
J Sai Deepak at his best...........
Video is longer than usual thenks to PS Narayana...
Discussions could be increased to 1 hour to get more into topics
Justice p s narayanan should have been given full space to speak alone.
Seems like justice Narayan is also responsible for pendency of many cases.
Although Justice Narayana Sir is not able to match up your speed Frank Sir, please do invite him often for genuine perspectives !
@rstv
Please edit the name ... Its case in place of cass
Respected Justice Narayana by the way his explanation everyone understands why many are pending in courts.
J sai that is the question everybody wants to hear ....cheif justice of India... A place where you belong
I wonder what Frank is thinking when justice Narayana is speaking. Love to see reaction on Frank's face
5:50 Time to take a nap.
Hon'ble Justice looks really confident. But Frank is impatient enough to wait him
Justice Narayana😂😂

Might be this is the first time ever that frank allowing a opening statement more than 6 minutes from a perosn.....ie justice naryana.
Accepting the problem and giving solutions, when are they implemented? How long people should face this problem? waiting 20 yrs for justice. Shame.
