First off, when Pete was talking about "Bag flipper", he was talking about "packs", or drugs. Flip it to make money. Also, Pete and Bas DO write their own lyrics. In an interview, they said their grandkids help them with the modern lingo. They love to blend the current lingo with their older South London "Cockney" slang. When you hear some of their other songs, you will know it is Cockney because you won't understand it. They are evasive about their past, but both of them were into some shyt in their youth. Bas (the tall one) rubbed elbows with one of the MORRISONS back then. He was also a bare knuckles fighter, and sources say that he was damn good at it. It was also said that he was a doorman for a nightclub frequented by members of the underground. His "Legit' occupation was that of a musician and music teacher. He stated that he once worked on a cruise ship as a jazz pianist. He can play several other instruments including the trumpet and saxophone.
Not much is known about Pete, though he vaguely talks about it in the video "Golf". I believe that it was Pete who had the idea to try to rap. He stated that he would regularly pick up his granddaughter, to which she would change his radio station to "Drill" rap. Pete would change it back to his station, and his granddaughter would change it back to hers. Eventually, he kept it on her station. Over time, he started to listen to what they had to say. He listened to it so much that he thought that he could do it. He presented it to Bas, and he was first like "What the hell is this shyt?" I think Bas quickly realized that he could do this as well. Their first video was in 2017, called "Shut Your Mouth". If you look at the video, you can see the growth both in production and lyrically.

Definitely write some of it (they have references that are very much of their era) but there’s lots of modern slang they get from elsewhere. I’ve a theory about which artist assists with the bars but it’s purely a guess.
Some said it's them writing and got the slangs from their grandkids.
