Just my opinion, there was never a chemistry just a one-sided love and the other one was just using the guy for his se*ual satisfactions, if we're seeing from the video's perspective cause I haven't seen the drama
Their relationship was high heat, emotionally and sexually, from start till the end. I was mesmerized, everything was so raw and the way they acted off each other... just wow!
just finished watching it yesterday and this is such a great wonderful touching show , the main actor wow no wonder he got an award of best actor in his career. the raw feelings , the way he express himself, he made me relate to his character and the journey to find love ...i was happy i was sad i was angry and excited and when a show does this to u it means it is a verrrrrrry good one. lets not forget the othet actors too they were sooo good
A lot of people are not understanding their storyline..No Yeong Su had Internalized homophobia... He wasnt actually pretending to be gay for a story, he loved Go-Young
Its the way you can see his real emotions in Yeong Su's eyes when he is getting screamed at by Go Yeong. Internalized Homophobia is a real life destroyer.
I know I was crying so hard watching that episode, so much true emotion from Go Yeong and yet Yeong Su sadly chose to hide and deny his true feelings for Go Yeong, it was heartbreaking and feel so sorry for people who have experienced this from both sides of the relationship, such good actors, you felt like it was real😢

But he knew that he couldn't be and couldn't provide for Go Young what GY needed in a relationship. I think he couldn't be himself in S. Korea & that was why he was leaving for America. Something happened with that "group" he was involved with. My hunch is they were an extreme right religious group & that he had had an affair with that guy they mentioned. So left the group. The fact that the guy wasn't in contact with Yeong Su was suspicious to the seniors. So, something must have gone down between them.

Such a pity Yeong Su wasn’t out of the closet.., from all Ko Yeong’s boyfriends, they had the best relationship ever, their chemistry was out of charts. I never finished the series. I'm ending my own canon storyline and episode, when episode they meet and start going out. This Korean-Series “Love in the big City” has rather a western attuite filled till the last Episode highlighting evolution of perspectives in finding true Love. Well especially walking down the path with topics like homophobia ore living with HIV we will learn about the synonym Kylie. Revelation of his relationships with his sick mother with tensions of knowing all about her son sexuality but left unaddressed before she is passing. I like to focus my appreciation about “Love in the big City” with Ko Yeong first and as far as I can see it his only real love Kim Nam Gyu and I guess a lot of reader will now argue about it…But I really had to write this Article about this Serie from my point of view, otherwise I want be able to sleep anymore…. The way the Ko Yeong and Kim Nam Gyu met in Philosophy class was so random. And from the very beginning the characterization from Kim Nam Gyu seems did not to fit at all with Ko Yeong. And I think honestly Ko Yeong felt the same way when he was about to let go of Kim. And like in real life there are these key moments which changes your opinion or even feelings. So, happen to Ko at dinner, Halloween night, in the Restaurant when Kim says: “I like the universe that is you” followed by a kiss - or later in the Relationship when there are lying in bed and Kim says: “Being here with you in the dark, it feels like it is just us in the universe”. And for me it felt like he is saying “I love you!” And then all of a sudden, the breakup scene. Well honestly not fully unexpected since we learned very early in the Story about Kim Nam Gyu past and his “conversion” or “reparative” therapy - and this leads us to get a better understanding of the charter and all action and behavior of Kim Nam Gyu. But still this was so brutal. In t h a t moment when Kim Nam Gyu was knocked down by Ko Yeong. I only could see his face written all over saying I still love you but I have to break up with you because that is what I learned in the conversion therapy. Despite the fact they loved each other so very deeply and jet this breakup - unexpectedly with unresolved emotions and further complicated ability to move forward I do understand the attempted suicide. Keep in mind in this moment he was still loaded with a sick mother and his own HIV disease. One year later finally there comes an ” excuse-letter" and again we all get the same weird feelings about Kim Nam Gyu. And we as viewer are starting to question what kind of relationship Ko Yeong may have seen or what was he thinking. Was it the amazing world class sex they had and let him ignore all the obvious. Like the Theses about the evil of Homosexuality ore the fact that they never really showing feelings in public This Relationship had his strength but only while meeting behind closed doors. Dancing so freely in the in Livingroom, getting a breakfast prepared by him. Multiple rounds in bed…. This single universe which was just the two innocent boys in it - but never was made for real live. But it is getting worse your feelings will go into a rollercoaster for example in that moment when the Serie unfold after we loosing someone good we had a fine relationship, to late we are learning how important this person was - but we cannot go back n time and change things - rather we have to live whit the consequences. Or in the Scene when Ko Yeong is engaged in a conversation with his female friend telling her: “You know you living a fantasy but still hope but it might exist somewhere. The hope excites you. But now I think its not so foolish after all. Do you think people like me can find eternal love?” I found this series to be extraordinary It has been a long time since I have been so deeply moved by a BL Serie after all this Years being a BL fan. Everything about it from the seamless decision to the meticulously selected soundtrack and even the smallest details in the dialog felt incredible authentic This Serie captures a realistic view of a Gay man seeking for real love over and over again and his enduring struggle to come to terms with his conditions after so many years - seems not regretting it rather accepting it. There is a line resonated with me where Ko Yeon is saying “I always smile” and he acknowledges the timeless impact of Kylie and emphasizing the emptiness loneliness persists indefinitely. Nam Yoon Su portrayal of Ko Yeon was remarkable particular in the scenes where he had an facial impression which has such subdued solitary demeanour immediately drew me in leaving me intrigued about the unfolding emotions and feeling I am sure I am not alone if I tell you that my rating for this BL Movie is 10 out of 10!
Is it a happy ending where they still end up together? Someone tell me please, because i don't want to watch something that will trigger my depression lol
They say it's not a bl cos it's actually queer media and not BL. Queer media show a more realistic aspect to the lives of LGBTQ+ persons unlike BL that tends to romanticize relationships between gay men.
Made me believe in end game for them only to break my heart. My gawd I hated YeongSu like nothing else. He almost pushed Yeong to the point of no return.

Здесь в комментариях сравнили с тайскими лакорнами, ну и я тогда отмечу, что тайские лакорны лучше, просто потому что они радостные и ЖИВЫЕ. Тайская философия жизни - чудо чудесное. Сейчас в лакорнах, к сожалению, "философии Тайланда" всё меньше, но в первых БЛ-сериалах можно встретить такое, что тебя прям учат жить, проговаривают, что делать в тех или иных ситуациях По качеству игры так же отмечу, что в Тайланде много хороших актёров, игра которых лично мне куда более импонирует, чем в той же Корее (менталитет очень сильно влияет)

Well honestly not fully unexpected since we learned very early in the Story about Kim Nam Gyu past and his “conversion” or “reparative” therapy - and this leads us to get a better understanding of the charter and all action and behavior of Kim Nam Gyu. But still this was so brutal. In
t h a t moment when Kim Nam Gyu was knocked down by Ko Yeong. I only could see his face written all over saying I still love you but I have to break up with you because that is what I learned in the conversion therapy.
Despite the fact they loved each other so very deeply and jet this breakup - unexpectedly with unresolved emotions and further complicated ability to move forward I do understand the attempted suicide. Keep in mind in this moment he was still loaded with a sick mother and his own HIV disease.
One year later finally there comes an ” excuse-letter" and again we all get the same weird feelings about Kim Nam Gyu. And we as viewer are starting to question what kind of relationship Ko Yeong may have seen or what was he thinking. Was it the amazing world class sex they had and let him ignore all the obvious. Like the Theses about the evil of Homosexuality ore the fact that they never really showing feelings in public This Relationship had his strength but only while meeting behind closed doors. Dancing so freely in the in Livingroom, getting a breakfast prepared by him. Multiple rounds in bed…. This single universe which was just the two innocent boys in it - but never was made for real live.
But it is getting worse your feelings will go into a rollercoaster for example in that moment when the Serie unfold after we loosing someone good we had a fine relationship, to late we are learning how important this person was - but we cannot go back n time and change things - rather we have to live whit the consequences.
Or in the Scene when Ko Yeong is engaged in a conversation with his female friend telling her: “You know you living a fantasy but still hope but it might exist somewhere. The hope excites you. But now I think its not so foolish after all. Do you think people like me can find eternal love?”
I found this series to be extraordinary It has been a long time since I have been so deeply moved by a BL Serie after all this Years being a BL fan. Everything about it from the seamless decision to the meticulously selected soundtrack and even the smallest details in the dialog felt incredible authentic This Serie captures a realistic view of a Gay man seeking for real love over and over again and his enduring struggle to come to terms with his conditions after so many years - seems not regretting it rather accepting it. There is a line resonated with me where Ko Yeon is saying “I always smile” and he acknowledges the timeless impact of Kylie and emphasizing the emptiness loneliness persists indefinitely. Nam Yoon Su portrayal of Ko Yeon was remarkable particular in the scenes where he had an facial impression which has such subdued solitary demeanour immediately drew me in leaving me intrigued about the unfolding emotions and feeling
I am sure I am not alone if I tell you that my rating for this BL Movie is 10 out of 10!

Для любителей драмы и "стекла" наверно сериал хороший, но я терпеть не могу всю эту боль-тоску-нытьё. В Корейском кинематографе это дело любимое - драма и заторможенность. Здесь в комментариях сравнили с тайскими лакорнами, ну и я тогда отмечу, что тайские лакорны лучше, просто потому что они радостные и ЖИВЫЕ.
Тайская философия жизни - чудо чудесное. Сейчас в лакорнах, к сожалению, "философии Тайланда" всё меньше, но в первых БЛ-сериалах можно встретить такое, что тебя прям учат жить, проговаривают, что делать в тех или иных ситуациях
По качеству игры так же отмечу, что в Тайланде много хороших актёров, игра которых лично мне куда более импонирует, чем в той же Корее (менталитет очень сильно влияет)
