Having recently flown from New Zealand to the USA and a couple of flights between the States, I have found that the airlines and crews have gone the extra mile to look after me and my family, I’ve been very impressed.
Thats good to hear.
Omg I'm literally wearing the EXACT same pants as you right now 😂❤😂
thanks for sharing! Im a caregiver, watching this video to learn about aisle chairs for my clients' travel!
Thank you for the information.
If only it was that easy and he's I am a full time wheelchair user
That's awesome! But what happens if you wanted to go to the toilet? Are the staff able to get you there, if the toilets are mobility friendly?
Flight attendants are not allowed to assist you to use the toilets and I’ve never heard of a flight having a aisle chair on board during a flight.
@@fi5715 another commenter said on a long distance flight they were on, there was one on board.
Hi, i love you showing traveling as a wheelchair user as am I! I have a hard time when it comes to urinary incontinence while traveling. Do you have any tips?
When everything/everyone is in place, it's brilliant. It's when people/things are not where they need to be, it's a pigging nightmare. I tend to find that the people are usually lovely and helpful, but the infrastructure and systems are not always so good. Factor in shit going wrong into travel timings!
Very ture. We always arrive at the air port as early as possible, and arrive to the gate as early as we can.
So far I haven't had too many problems with flying. Except one long distance flight where they told me the aisle chair was not on board for getting to the toilet and it turned out that it was but it was too late. They only said well why don't you have someone who travels with you.
@Corey Bakers Entertainment Channel this was about 29 years ago. I have spasticity but doesn't change with flying.
Thats my concern
@Corey Bakers Entertainment Channel i also used baclofen, i fee like it becomes kinda useless during seasonal changes
🎉
Real question, im also wheelchair bound, how do you use the restroom in the plane if needed??
Should I buy a wheelchair storage bag to put the wheelchair in at the entrance to the plane when you board ? I'm worried about losing the leg rest on the wheelchair.
Did you get your chair back at the door, or did you end up with an airport chair to luggage?
Were you able to check in your wheelchair with your luggage?
thank you gem
:)
Why do they buckle you up in the wheelchair
Why do they have you strapped into that Wheelchair?
Safety. Some people have violent spasms that could throw them out the chair. Some people could have a seizure. The chair could hit an obstruction and throw someone out. Etc
I hate that chair with a passion. It is not comfortable nor is it easy to get in and out of.
