    Perfect example of "what not to do". You need to control the boom, such a way that the sail furls properly.

    far from ideal. i guess any landing you walk away from is a good one, but looking at the wrinkles in the roll (bad) with the luff tape stacking up (good) & the angle of the battens relative to the angle of the boom (bad) indicates that there was a disconnect in the design/engineering of the sail here. the battens needed to be perpendicular to the luff curve, not at a consistent angle relative to the luff straight line. a little more bulking at the reefs may have made for less wrinkles. it's easy to see that the sail is rolling well, but if you know what you're watching it's mortifying.

    You don't use the main, that's cheating ... What happen if you run down wind?

    That's what it looks like, when you don't get the boom angle right.
