Just bought/received one of these from Guitar center... sight-unseen!!! Surprisingly, a pretty nice player right out of the box. It does have a rather wide feeling neck profile. Something to take into consideration if you have smaller hands. Build quality is also surprisingly good I found. Paint color is more off-white than pure white. Guitar strings seemed a little stale, so I changed them out with some D'Addario 9's...and lemon-oiled up the ebony fret board. It's alot more balanced compared to the top heavy original 1992 run of 200 models. I used to own one of those. That one felt and sounded like a Les Paul. This version is a different feeling and sounding animal. The sound is non-distinctive. Sounds like a guitar with Duncan pups. No more, no less. After the string change, just a tad bit of Floyd Rose spring adjustment is all that was needed to get it back in good tune. Plays very nicely and could probably play even better with more adjustments. Very impractical shaped guitar for couch picking, but nostalgia rules the day with this one. For around a grand, this is a pretty descent axe...It's a keeper! And a thing of beauty just to look at it! I'm hanging it next to my very rare autographed photo of Randy himself, who I met at the Sam Houston Colosseum in February of 1982.
Yes almost seems surreal at this point… Happy to have it and have no idea what it might be worth… Not particularly interested in selling but I am curious
@@kingfisher7960 Surprisingly because it’s a fairly low priced mass-produce guitar from Indonesia… Wasn’t expecting it to be one of the best playing guitars I’ve ever had straight out of the box…
All of those pro series guitars have the 1000 series Floyds... I'm pretty sure that they are the same as the German Floyds in terms of construction, they're just made in Korea, still great bridges though.
When I was a 19 year old girl at a toronto music shop called Steve’s, I was told by a staff of the store that Jackson’s aren’t for girls and I should get an epiphone. Long story short I’m in my late 20’s now and I play the Gibson Les Paul and just ordered THIS Jackson. Never ever tell a young girl that she can’t play a particular instrument cause it’s not girly enough.
Hey Katina, welcome to the channel! Jacksons are definitely for girls and there are some crazy talented women endorsed by Jackson right now who shred like crazy on them! All of the guitars on my channel go up for sale, so if you ever see the right Jackson for you just let me know and I'll hook you up 🤘
That’s one spineless punk to tell a girl that. The deal was he was scared that you’d probably cut him down in a guitar battle contest. We don’t put up with shit like that down here in the Republic of Texas. That fu*&ker would have been asked to come explain himself in the parking lot,
Thanks dude 🤘 There are a few obsessed weirdos from some guitar forums and facebook groups that go out of their way to subscribe to the channel just so they can dislike all of the new uploads. It is hilarious
Just ordered the last one available online, didn’t wanna miss out at all especially since with taxes this was $1,422.xx and we don’t know when they would come back at all so far they just came back last month and are now sold out. I can’t wait to receive it this week
We got a king v Jackson bolt on with semore Duncins indonesian at the guitar attic daytona.its super nice for non japanese .price is private trust me under 500 easily
Well there was the rr5 too which was basically the rr3 just neck-through and had real SD pickups. Although it would have been better too if it had an ebony fretboard instead of rosewood, but I think this one and the rrt3 (which I have) are way better then the rr3 and rr5 even if it's not made in Japan. The quality and craftsmanship is still up to par if not better then those 2 back in the day imo.
Is it better than my SL3 2007 Japan? Mine comes with the original Floyd and the real Seymour Duncans and of course, black hardware and neck-thru body construction.
Im considering to buy this model. Please, tell me ,is it better than Japanese RR3 from 2004, is it tremolo good as an original Floyd rose, whats the quality of the sound, playability of the neck...??Is it professional range of guitar in one word?
Geometric Turtle I believe this model comes with the Floyd Rose O2000 tremolo. They have these on Ebay for like 1099.00 dollars. The description on there says FRT O2000.
@@booshting3520I didn't said nothing about the wood being better. I just said that, the wood used on the older models is the same used on the USA models, which may be better or not. Plus, nothing wrong about bolt on necks.
@@sVsWR24 the bolt on while not really effecting the sound has some major cons: I tried it and there was no access past the 17th fret. Opening my hand all the way trying to get down there was extremely hard because it was taped larger on the way down. The other thing is bolt ons always suffer crack at the joint in the body. I think the guitar here is more comparable to the RR5 , it's like a hybrid of Rr3 and RR5, it's pretty damn sweet I have to say!
@@DanzoSrife True, my RR3 has a crack on the joint. Don't know if it is the wood or only the paint. I put an original floyd rose and original SD pickups.

How does this guitar compare in size to the Concorde?

what about that floyd? is it any good? I understand it is not an original… I have been hugely frustrated by bad floyds in the past.
