- Priced at just AED 2,299 in the UAE, the Motorola Razr 50 is shaping up to be my top choice for an affordable flip phone. Stunning colours, a BIG new display, a new Mediatek processor and so much more, make it a very interesting choice.
In this video, I take a quick first look at the phone and some of its main features.
Mediatek's technology in the Razr 50 ensures smooth performance for gaming! This phone is definitely a game-changer in foldables.
It's unclear whether and when they will launch this in India. Personally, I would choose this over the Flip 6 or Razr 50 Ultra. Although I pre-ordered the 50 Ultra, I'm having second thoughts now.

Great review! I'm currently in Dubai, do you happen to know if the Razr phones sold in the UAE are the same as the unlocked international phones sold everywhere else? I keep reading some features are disabled, like maybe can't mute camera shutter, or that the bands are optimized for Middle East regions. I'm not really sure, or perhaps it's just safer to buy once I'm back in the US.
If you’re based in the US, I heavily suggest buying your Moto from there.
it is absolutely a steal for a flip phone lovers if it has same functionalities with the ultra e.g. smartconnect

Does the always on display have a schedule timer to bring this on at a set time and to turn it off at a set time ? Or does it stay on until you switch it off do you know ?
I haven’t specifically tested it and I know it doesn’t have a specific timer but you can use Routines or focus modes.
great video, thanks for the info. just ordered razr 50. initially went looking at flip6 or 50 ultra (money not decisive factor), but I honestly don't see a reason why pick any of them over regular 50. I don't care much for camera, nor samsung one UI. also 4200 mAh for 50 vs 4000 for 50 ultra. did I miss anything? regular 50 seems like no brainer

Looka good. It's not available in India at the moment. Any idea of its launch date in india and the estimated price?
My biggest gripe with it is Google Assistant doesn't work unless you open the phone. Other than that I really enjoy the phone.
Works for me with face recognition turned on. I just need to look at the closed phone.

Oh that’s a very tough one. If you want the Flipping part of a phone, then the Moto wins. But otherwise most of it is won by the Pixel 8
Also the ultra from last year is only 2299. Is it better to get the 40 ultra than the razr 50
Currently the Razr 50 has the advantage of the new OS
