🌸Speaking of "H" what are your thoughts on Hitchcock ? His filmography is largely composed of adaptions of novels as I'm sure you know. I recently watched "Jamaica Inn " based on Daphne Du Maurier's story and despite it being one of the director's earlier films you can see his brilliant touch. Of course Du Maurier's " The Birds " is a Hitchcock masterpiece.
I'm so glad you mentioned " Misery " ! That is my favorite King Story.....do you recall that part in the novel where Annie Wilkes makes Paul Sheldon drink a bucket of dirty mop water ? I'm glad that wasn't in the movie.

Anything by Daphne duMaurier is a great treat!! Great story teller.
That is so true about reading classics, just have to get through it the 1st time and 2d or 3d time through you “break through” and begin to understand. I am re-reading “Memoirs of A Physician” Volumes 1,2 and 3 by Alexander Dumas for the third time, my all time favorite historical romance, This time around I can really follow the plot, characters so much easier and truly understand it. I think this “Memoirs of a Physician” may be along the lines of the Huge “Pamela” novel by Samuel Richardson you have discussed in other videos, except “Pamela” isn’t broken down into individual volumes.

Agree 110% about Witching Hour as best Anne Rice, I have always felt it was her masterpiece.
