Hello Logan! Enjoying watching the garlic planting and it makes good sense to borrow the tractor twice a year, imo. I planted the garlic 4” deep and 4” apart, for this area and I covered them with mulched leaves. Cauliflower still alive! 😅 Have a great weekend❣️
Lovely captured camera work and gorgeous view and absolutely another spectacular beautiful shooting filming footage compilation documentary countryside adventure .. thanks again Logan ! ..
Logan, you should offer your garlic in September/October as seed garlic if you have a bunch leftover. Shipping through the mail would be worth while I'd think.
I watch all your videos, I'm pretty much a one man show and only farm a small amount compared to you guys. We've been doing it for 30 years and have built quite a reputation locally. You can never have enough tractors. I have three Massey 1250 30 hp16 speed forward and reverse, two 4/4 and one two wheel drive with turf tires. I leave the collection flail mower on the 2 wheel drive to collect grass clippings for compost and mulch, and use the two 4/4 with loaders to till, cultivate, bush hog, move compost, firewood. I also have a 73hp 4/4 cab massey with loader to pull the 10ft wheel disk ,24'' deep 2/shank subsoiler, 8' 3/point bush hog , 8' seven shank chisel plow, and move logs with the grapple. Finally I have a 30hp 2 wheel drive Mitsubishi 12 speed that goes even slower than the 1250's. I have five high tunnels that hold over 1,000 tomato plants that have easy to remove gable ends so I can till with one of the 1250's or mitsu. I raise 5 acres of sweetcorn, an acre of cantelope, an acre of watermellons, and two acres of pumpkin, around an acre of veg, 1/4 acre of flowers. I do all this with only a couple helpers that only cost me less than $ 2,000 in labor in 2024. Having so many tractors saves me hrs not having to switch out equipment. We sell 99% of our produce here on the farm at out honor system on the porch of our big building.
Wow that sounds very productive with all of those tractors. That is soo great to hear everything is going well for you & for so long. I hope everything continues to be that way! Thank you for watching 😃
Nice Job Logan I have been waiting for this video for Months!! I have a question for you I live in Wisconsin so when should I start growing vegetables in indoor in winter time??
I heard them called toes often, especially when planting garlic. Definitely comes from my German-speaking side of the family. Maybe the Pennsylvania Dutch influence is what makes that the way you say it.
My 22 year old nephew has brought 3 guys over to my house to play games and have an all nighters on the weekends. It's a great college break. One guy saw me peeling garlic and putting it a press and he said he had never seen garlic before like that because his family always got it minced in a jar. I still make my own butter, honey butter, garlic butter and whipped. I made a pan of johnny marzetti from the oven and had hot rolls to put garlic butter on. Those guys literally eat you out of house and home and that's fine. I have one rule. If you stay here with my nephew, do NOT ask for anything to eat or drink or I'd be offended. If you want something you walk over to the fridge and help yourself to anything you want I'll tell them what is in there. I said "there is cherry cheesecake and pumpkin pie if you want any later". One of them got some cherry cheesecake and ever asked everyone else if they wanted him to bring them some. One other did, and I smiled when they say how good my cooking is. I told them "Hey, all you guys need to learn how to cook". But I did find it comical that he thought the glass minced garlic is how it comes to consumers. Your entire family has a great work ethic and that shows in how well your farm looks. No man and pa kettle going on in there!
The rear tires on that tractor are too wide for row crop work. The problem is no one builds a small row crop tractor anymore. I have a 1963 Farmall 140 that Daddy bought used in 1976 that is perfect for that kind of work.
You can definitely find them at auctions, we have had our planters for many many years and am unsure where we got them. If we ever look into buying a new one, I’m sure I will video it & show you all. Thank you for watching 😃

That planter is so perfectly built a real gem. Thanks for feeding the world.

agreed. I spend up to $150 every year for seed garlic. Logan, you wouldn't have to separate the toes. They get shipped as whole bulbs.
What tedious job. Thanks for sharing. Farmers are always hard workers and we the people are very thankful. You bless us everyday of our lives.
I have never planted garlic but would like to. This video has great information and also for brussels sprouts thank you
It is interesting,I love land preparation.

I love seeing that you have rocky (like gravel) soil similar to mine and you grow beautiful vegetables in your soil.
Yes sometimes it’s a bummer to have that type of soil, but it works great for us overall!! Thanks for watching 😃
