Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate - Fast Level + Promotion + Growth Points in Gauntlet Mode (PS4)

- There is a DLC stage (free and exclusive for the *PS4*) that will make leveling and promoting super fast, easy and less tedious!
Stage:
Mt. Xingshi (DLC) - 1 star
=====
Requirement:
• Clear Gauntlet mode once (use Solstice Formation to speedrun through stages).
General Setup:
• Bring one character that needs level + promotion.
• Bring Da Ji, Xu Zhu and Yoshimoto Imagawa as partners because they are the only characters in the game that have Acclaim ability which "Increases EXP obtained (all team members)." It helps tremendously if they are Acclaim (S).
• Mystic Bell item, looting every individual EXP loot is very tedious and time consuming.
Optional Setup:
• Setup Solstice Formation with the character that need leveling set in the middle of the formation. It'll help locate and speedup the process for exiting the stage (recommended, but not mandatory).
• Procurement will double the EXP loots that are dropped from enemies with names on them.
General Idea:
Every single peon in this DLC stage has a high chance of drop EXP (small) loots for your character. There are purple energy barriers (I don't know the official term) that will make EXP loots drop 100% for a short amount of time. Enemies with names can sometimes drop Gold EXP or EXP (large) loots for you as well. The general idea and goal is to clear the three major spawns that are set throughout the stage and exit immediately.
=====
Process/Goal:
• 'Distribute Growth Points' to the character that needs leveling to at least Level 30 (to access all movesets).
• When the stage starts, there are three major spawn spots with officers and peons:
• 1st spawn (2:45; Patchnose dialogue)- north of the start position, pass the valley on the right fork road, officers will spawn.
• 2nd spawn (3:40) - top left square base, there will be a ton of peon flooding out of the Gate Captain.
• 3rd spawn (4:28; Sidewinder dialogue) - a bit south of the Gate Captain (below the square base from the 2nd spawn), there will be multiple officers spawning.
After clearing the three major spawns:
• Use Solstice Formation: Getaway - "Teleports you to the escape point." If you don't have the formation, make your way to the center of the stage where there is a green indicator flashing (4:51).
• Defeat the Gyuki sealing the gate and exit the stage.
Back at Gauntlet Mode town screen:
• Go back to "Battle Preparations" screen, "Promote" your Level 100 character and repeat the same method/process again.
• If a character is max promoted 9/9 times, then "Use Upgrade Stones" to increase their stats.
Once the route and method is familiarized, you will be clearing the stage in around 3 minutes, plus or minus the Menu screen and everything, the whole process will take about 5 minutes or so per promotion.
=====
Notes:
Make your ways around the stage fast or the enemies at the major spawns will get impatient and spawn without you. After that, they'll scatter around the map making leveling inefficient and ineffective. Refrain from opening non-green chests or prolonging the stage for too long. This will increase the Miasma level unexpectedly, making the process and peon killing more difficult.
Only a certain amount of EXP loots can appear at a time, so characters like Xu Shu who kill too many enemies at a time might get "less" EXP loots. Most of the time, characters will be Level 100 by the end of the 2nd spawn; if not, that's what the 3rd spawn is for.
Utilize the purple energy barriers scattered throughout the stage to help leveling faster. To save time, activate the one's that are on the way. Energy barrier locations are set, but the types are different each time. There are three notable locations; first one is located behind the start up of the stage (1:59), second one is by the entrance of the 2nd spawn (3:35), and the third is slightly more south of the map from the 3rd spawn (4:30).
This method will not only level and promote characters fast, but also help farm/increase "Growth Points" slowly. The video shows I started out with 8,090,327 down to 7,982,727 Growth Points after drugging Xu Shu. At the result screen, I ended up with 8,414,200 Total Growth Points. This run alone made me gain roughly 500,000 Growth Points just to promote a character through normal process without extra tedious farming. Before you know it, you'll have max Growth Points and will be distributing them like candy to all your characters!

Thanks for sharing and this is a ps4 exclusive. Had posted wrong information before. In PS3 version we got battle of Anegawa as all expierence only stage
Hey, no problem. Thank you for the clarification. It's unfortunate that other consoles got different treatment because this stage made leveling a whole lot easier.
Thanks for the reply. Yes from the looks of it it's so much better because it's a straightforward to exit stage where anegawa can have some confusion to get to the exit. I did find out if you don't have gauntlet mode dlc the best stages for leveling items and best non X weapons is Purple keystone. For level grinding the I think 3rd layer Hundun first appears stage where you're supposed to run away from Hundun.
@@Ponctan I'm playing Mt. Xingshi on Xbox right now. What's the exclusive map? Or is that just ps3? I'm so confused lol I used this video for the Xbox version just fine. Just missing the item that sucks in all the scrolls. Not sure where to get it.
@@takuo9779 Mt. Xinshi is just the stage name. But the special part about this stage is that it constantly drops EXP scrolls unlike any other stages. I don't have the Xbox version, but from discussions, all I can say (to be on the safe side without misleading) is that it works on the PS4.
@@Ponctan it's on Xbox. I used that stage to Max out my character.
Xu shu is the best on his R1 skill
fair warning: if you don't have all that Acclaim active yet you still get like 20-ish levels a run
Thank you so much. It helped me a lot.
Good god do I really have to grind Imagawa D:
Some things tho:
- The purple portal aura thingamibob is called Scroll of Enlightenment
- I'm curious as to why you would choose Turbidity Blade over Verdant Blade X --granted it has +54 but VBX is still 60+99--
I have the Verdant Blade X occupied with a setup, but I used a weaker weapon to try not to create the illusion that a really strong weapon is required to do this, but thank you for letting me know! I think the game allows you to semi-cheat leveling up characters if you kill with a stronger character and change it to another character (Imagawa) really quick so the EXP scrolls fly to him instead. I could be wrong since it's been a long time I played this game.
I think the gauntlet can earn more growth points than survival in duel mode
Good morning where can I get the Wrath skill? I already finished the story mode and I can't even get a weapon with this skill
That is a good question. I actually don't know the answer to your question outside of crafting it through Materials gathered from Gauntlet Mode (which is what I did personally did). I am aware that Brilliance can be farmed from random drops post-battle, but I'm not so sure about Wrath (and Grace).
If you can't find it in Story/Free Mode, there is a good chance that it might need to be crafted or farmed in Gauntlet Mode (most likely on Chaos difficulty). If you are committed to farming weapons, I recommend Procurement and Prosperity+10 on a weapon to farm more weapons per stage. And if you still can't find it, then it's probably not available on Story/Free Mode. Sorry about that.
@@Ponctan achieve by going to the start screen and restarting the store with time appears
@@Willian555a Oh the store! I'm glad you find it!
500k GP/EXP with 1 run:O Good stuff :D
Btw, why don't you use windslay+tri-element with Xu Shu, if you have more elemental, the chance of proccing one of them are decreased or how does it work?
Also if you don't mind i would really appreciate a complete detailed skill list, with exact percentages, like frenzy does 25% increase, maybe.
All elements in this game are 100% activation, regardless of Almighty. Ice doesn't seem 100% because lifted or dead enemies cannot 'freeze'.
I have theories of Icebolt and Flamebolt over Tri-Element, but they aren't concrete enough for me to tell you that it is 100% accurate.
It's been awhile, so I could be slightly wrong. But here it is:
Verity*, Aerial, Destruction, Cavalier - ~30%
Frenzy, Blast - ~25%
Agility, Courage, Might, Brawn, Flak - ~20%
I think am missing some attributes .... it's really been awhile. :/
* Note that only DW-type Musou benefit the multiplier from Verity; SW-type Musou only gets True Musou (fire) with a "special" ending.
Thank you! Now it's clearer even if it isn't the complete list:)
I thought Verity only gives the flame attribute to DW musous, good to know that is stronger:) In this case my Zhaou Yun-Musou build can be even stronger:D Thanks ^^
For those who are on the Vita version like me, the only best alternative is DLC Anegawa, which may take arguably longer, but is lower on difficulty and easier to breeze through and spend more extended time on due to the miasma level reaching only up to 40 max.
Thanks for the info! I love this game, but leveling up each character still feels like a lot (even with the duel mode trick).
Hopefully your method makes it easier for me.
Where's the stage you mean?
i just dizzy by this gauntlet mode
1st stage for chengdu how to escape the dragon portal i just can't find out where is escape portal xD
I can't give you an answer because I don't know also. If you have Solstice Formation, use that to find the exit. If you don't, you're gonna have to try and find it :/
I craft his another pro weapon just now higher than mystic weapon xD
The X Weapon?
Ya the X weapon hehe
How did you get the sword with an aura?
You made some upgrade the sword
Big-star weapon, Turbidity Blade always have the aura around the sword. It's only for visual pleasure, it doesn't affect gameplay.
Is it gauntlet mode need to promote to up all char? I see miasma level if enemy get so strength i just Dizzy on this gauntlet mode haha
I played this game on the PS4 and Koei had a free DLC for this special stage. I don't know what platform you're playing or if your game has this free DLC special stage, but if you do, this is the best stage to do it. Outside of this special stage in Gauntlet Mode, I have no idea where is a good place to promote characters.
Why i can't change my charecters in guntlet mode ? And why my charecter cant get the scrolls by himself , i must pick them by my self
I remeber that you need a certain attribute on your weapon or character to have scrolls be automatically picked up.
thanks for reply, you need to get mystic scroll
I'm pretty much using the exact same set up and method as you, but for some reasons I only got around 270,000 to about 290,000 each time. What do you think is the possible reason???
If you have max Acclaim and all the setup I mentioned, then what matters most at the end is luck and how you play. Without activating the purple keystone (aura thing for EXP drops) or obtaining the gold EXP scroll, chances of dropping EXP is luck based.
Upon activating the purple keystone or obtaining a gold EXP scroll, you'll have to defeat lots of enemies in a short time period of time to maximize the result. Xu Shu happens to annihilate a mob real quick. KO'd crowds that are on locked/juggled screen hogs up enemy spawn, try minimizing juggling dead bodies, turning camera away from KO'd crowds for EXP to drop quicker and zoning screens to make enemies spawn quicker from Gate Captains.
@@Ponctan I just did a few more runs, and I found out that besides what you mentioned, the followings things may matter the result:
1. Number of times that the character has been promoted. After the fifth promotion, I got a message saying that number of growth points receive after clearing a stage will increase.
2. I believe the weapon attribute "Procurement" does matter.
After I put the above 2 points into the account, I get an average about 400K per run.
If xu shu full star lvl the growth points still can farm out??🤔🤔
Are you asking if you can farm EXP Growth as Xu Shu if he's maxed? If so, yes.
I see thx 😁😁
How do you unlock all the characters for gauntlet mode
You unlock characters by defeating them IN Gauntlet mode stages. Free/Story mode characters that have been unlocked are not tied with Gauntlet mode. I'm not sure if the character needs to drop an item for you to unlock them, but you definitely have to beat them up.
Yoshimoto acclaim can lvling exp for another 4 char ?
Acclaim helps everyone gain more EXP, so yes, it's better to have him in the party.
Oh i see make him and Da ji so fast lvling i almost done all maxed level
is it procurement element can farm out 500,000gp?🤔
Yes, it doubles the EXP you earn from scrolls in the battle.
Ok i try use it haha
Is truely farm 630000 gp more i farm out 😂😂 i think it will take a long to 9999999 full gp
How do you get the mystic balls item?
According to the Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate Treasure Guide wiki:
koei.wikia.com/wiki/Treasure_Guide
You have to "Fulfill the Mystic's request to defeat 30,000 enemies in total" in Gauntlet Mode to obtain Mystic Bells.
what function for another two dlc ?
To be honest, I really don't remember. From what I understand, they are just normal stages that don't impact your Gauntlet or games progression. This stage in particular is for EXP, perhaps the other two might be for farming materials and orbs for crafting.
What do I do with growth points??
Growth Points are used to level up characters, as seen during 1:07 of the video.
I can’t do gauntlet mode
If you're playing the "Ultimate" version, you probably have to clear Story Mode first. (unlock all scenarios too maybe?). I'm not 100% sure.
It’s to hard is what I mean on Xbox
@@skinnerhater7141 I don't know what mode you're playing it on or how difficult playing on the Xbox is, but getting started is the hardest part. There can be many factors, like being under-equipped or bad map layout. My suggestion is to speedrun through the stages, whether if you are doing it for EXP or just crawling through a stage for the sake of crawling through one. You can always revisit the stage.
If something catches your eye and you can't pass on it in the middle of a stage, my best suggestion to keeping yourself alive is having multiple characters with the ability "Alacrity" as it keeps ALL your team members fresh at all times (as long you keep achieving every 500 combos). AI's can't activate it Alacrity for you, but on the off chance you die, you can use still play as your other alive members.
What are the other two 10 stars Dlc stages for?
To be honest, I don't know and I don't remember. I've cleared them, but they were not memorable enough for me to recollect and tell you what they are. I'm positive that they aren't game changing. There is nothing exclusive about those stages but the stage itself.
Ponctan huge question, I just played this stage but nothing actually dropped like the one you show here, im on xbox one, does this only works for ps4 despite the battle log also says the rate of dropping scrolls increases
Sorry for the late reply.
This works only and exclusively for the PS4. No other system/console works.
+Ponctan wtf noooo
It is also on the Xbox One, hinthint.
how to camera zoom out ?
Press down-button on the D-Pad. Up-button for zoom-in.
+Ponctan and the costumes is a fre or paid ?
+Ponctan only in the gautelet mode?
The costume on Xu Shu is free. I changed his color on the costume customization menu during character selection.
The zoom-in and out feature is exclusive for Gauntlet Mode only.
+Ponctan ok. thanks for all.
Yeah I ended up finding it but thanks
Purple Dragon Portals
+Abigdummy4life
Now that the viewers know what I'm talking about. My video description is already exceeding max text, so I won't change my description, thanks for checking!
Ponctan
Just shorten it to "EXP Dragon Portals", three letters less XD
+Abigdummy4life
Lol, I guess, but still lazy. XD
+Ponctan Also, it only takes Lv. 20 to unlock full movesets for all characters. Dynasty Warriors characters unlike in previous games have access to their full normal attack chains at any point.
The Chinese Mystic characters will have their normal attack chain be reminiscent to the 9-input Evolution combo attacks (from DW5) just like in WO2-onwards when they hit Level 20 (examples include Taigong Wang and Sun Wukong).
Also, shouldn't Kiyomasa be much better at doing this? That is if you unlock him by luck in Gauntlet Mode or in the Story Mode. Isn't he the BEST character in the game with the fastest offense due to the most broken R1 Type Action? He'd be farming much faster than Xu Shu since Xu Shu's Type Action needs you to have the enemies fall down first before they spawn their drops.
+Abigdummy4life
Kiyomasa is theoretically the most effective character in Free Mode because his R1 boasts great crowd clear, officer clear and damage all in one. On top of that, he is easy to use. In my opinion, he's great 1-dimensionally with offense, but his defense maneuvers suck relatively to his offense. C5 is great for filling, but it is very detached. His R1 recovery is bad and therefore he might have to use it back to back just to prevent getting leaped.
In Gauntlet, Kiyomasa is not the best, but only above average good because he can easily get OHKO'd. His R1 radius is no longer wide enough to protect him because of projectiles and common non-flinchable officers. He can trigger Aggression & Bastion which requires hefty mobs & Chronos to be effective because of his lag after Air R1. If he uses Aggression & Bastion, his damage and survivability becomes reliant on Aggression & Bastion, which isn't bad, but his combo generating is detached from his R1 offense and so is his C5 sustainability.
Offensively, yeah I agree with you that he's really good. But his defense is in a total different ball game, and is actually bad and not a nitpick.
I don't play Gauntlet too extensively (but to train and test weapon X builds), but I can say with the exception of Ayane, Xu Shu, Zhang Jiao, Guan Yu, etc. (the common monsters), Guo Jia is a very good and almost never mentioned Gauntlet character that doesn't require triple-Thrift to be both offensively and defensively effective.
