I‘m a Metal guy, and when I first heard this I thought it might be too poppy for my taste. But now when I listen to this album (which is all I listen to atm) it‘s one of the songs I‘m looking forward the most. I love the complex rhythm of the chorus, I love the solo part. It’s one of the songs that make me want to move not only me head, but my whole body. But most of all I love Su‘s voice in this. It‘s one of the few songs on the album where her voice is really clear without a lot of effects. She sounds so good!
My rating would probably be a 9.
"But most of all I love Su's voice in this."
So very much agree!
Woah! Fancam version of the song is so epic !! You'll try it
Su is an angel
BABYMETAL live goes far beyond CD
This is a 10 for me, this and Shine from Metal Galaxy. This song was written by two of the guys from the metal band Polyphia. Good stuff!
The Legend Metal Galaxy video of their live performance of this has the most incredible graphics on colossal screens behind them. This audio is a beautiful thing though - a superb song.
One of my favorite songs from the new album
Always more BabyMetal forever! :)
So far there is one live performance by Babymetal at Makuhari on January 25th 2020. When you have a chance to see that live performance, I bet you will be amazed by the scale of the heavy sound and grand visual.
This is one of the songs that has grown on me. I wasn't so sure at first as it just seemed a bit too "mainstream" I guess, but the more I've listened the more depth and layers I've heard in it ... then the live version, as always, was even better and the metal is there swimming along below the surface.
Su sings differently than she did before. This song feels adult.
The new album has a light side (more pop/EDM) and a dark side (more metal).
What an aggressive challenge!
Thank you for choosing this song.
This song would have been boring if it was just a melody. ^^
The lyrics are important for this song.
If someone translates, you will understand this melody.
Thank you for choosing BABYMETAL
(This is a mechanical translation T_T)
I'm a big fan of songs like this for Babymetal, it's almost like a pallet cleanser on this album. This song is sandwiched between Majinai and Night Night Burn followed by the heavier half of the album.
So many layers but underneath it all it's still very metal.
Did you see Makuhar's Brand New day?
I am not a pop fan in general, and if you were to ask me why, I would talk about the underlying music, the time signatures used, instrumentation, etc. And here comes Babymetal with a poppy song where none of that applies. This is written in Drop C for heaven's sake. First time I heard it I had a knee jerk reaction of not liking it, bit the more I listen the more the intricacies become apparent. And it's why I love Babymetal, they challenge you
ありがとう!
This is a collaboration with the Polyphia guitarists Tim Henson and Scott LePage. Polyphia is a prog rock band from Dallas.
this is the link to a good fan cam of this song from Japan. ua-cam.com/video/e6uiwwPgd0M/v-deo.html again this song to me is better live. i love this song. you can hear in her voice how mature it is becoming. Su can sing any kind of style. not too many can do the styles she can do. she is definitely our Queen.
good.
I expect J-pop in a Babymetal song because that's who they are. This sounds like American pop to me which made me resist it at first. The truth is though, Su-Metal's magical voice rescues this song.
I wouldn't compare this to American pop at all. Only electronic sounds are comparable. It's a lot more complex beneath the surface. I especially like the rhythm.
@@hachikuji_mayoi you have a good point. It is much more complex than American pop and I don't want to stab my eardrums out when I hear it. 🤣 the unnecessary autotune part just bugs me.
@@jeffschreifels8651 when I got used to the parts I dislike so that they don't distract me every time it became one of my favourites from the album.
This is basically just Polyphia having a BABYMETAL Vocalist in it
Opera Rock. From Spain please. React to Camilo Sesto: Getsemani ( live 1977 ).
It sounded like polyphia
Hello,
I'm not sure if you know this, Brand New Day has Tim Henson & Scott LePage (of Polyphia) as guest artists.
There are 4 other songs where BABYMETAL has collaborated with other artists for METAL GALAXY album,
1. DA DA DANCE - feat Tak Matsumoto (Grammy winning guitarist of rock duo B'z)
2. Oh! MAJINAI - feat Joakim Brodén (Sabaton)
3. Distortion - feat Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy)
4. PA PA YA!! - feat F.HERO (Rapper from Thailand)
@@babymetalarchive6865 i found out already hehe. Thaanks
Cuz Tim Henson and Scott LePage are from Polyphia
This is a cross over with the band Polyphia, you should check out the song G.O.A.T by them. They're an instrumental math rock band, this was just kind of a taste of them lol
If you dare to expand your japanese universe a little bit, I suggest you check out BiSH (Brand-new idol SHit), epic poprock :) Here are some of my favorites, enjoy:
Non-Tie Up (live): ua-cam.com/video/-EBhpOs-zsw/v-deo.html
Monsters: ua-cam.com/video/4j2NvbuUbs8/v-deo.html
BiSH-星が瞬く夜に-: ua-cam.com/video/8y-dHKkp2zU/v-deo.html
Kind People: ua-cam.com/video/4l5ZcSr9LCQ/v-deo.html
Can l add My Landscape? Very interesting musical group. BiSH is not really rock music but l like them just fine.
Can you please react to Dimash "Passione"( Better listen to it at New Wave 2019) . That's not as beautiful as majestic and charming:)
Here's some serious J-Girl punk from the girls who pretty much invented it...Kurt Cobain's favorite band, Shonen Knife. Ramones Forever (live) - Shonen Knife ua-cam.com/video/hpWHXbZsuwQ/v-deo.html
Thank an 811 year old pigeon for those 2000. That's a sentence l bet you never thought you'd be saying, huh? For something different and strange and good. BiSH My Landscape. You need the link?
Agree, more BiSH!!!
@@schelin1447 I came across them at the Revolver Records website because they record on Band-Maid's label. Very, very interesting concept and l like the message from people who celebrate their "imperfections". Regards.
@@sacluvsBM I first started to listen to BiS in 2012, they disbanded in 2014. Then BiSH started as a successor to BiS and I fell in love :) BiSH are amazing, every song is different and they have meaningful lyrics.
@@schelin1447 Thanks for clearing that up. I always wondered about the different spellings and l didn't put it together that the older songs have the spelling BiS. Appreciate it. Maybe we can get dirty to give them a spin?
The third iteration of BiS is up and running now. There's a decent MV for DEAD OR A LiME which is quite punk sounding: ua-cam.com/video/8VamRd-U3ew/v-deo.html. Punk is what BiS were/are going for, mixed with an idol style presentation. If you want to see/hear some chaos, try ua-cam.com/video/VpjAWcv94ro/v-deo.html There are some very cool fan cams from early BiS PAs in shopping malls which will help with understanding idols / alt-idols. This one is a classic: ua-cam.com/video/i0OSJKCtIeI/v-deo.html
BiS is part of the WACK organisation that also includes BiSH, EMPiRE, GANG PARADE, CARRY LOOSE and a couple more groups starting / ending. There are also shuffle units (SAiNT SEX, HOLY SHiTS) and a handful of members have solo releases. Lots of interesting stuff to explore.
wait what! it does not sound like Babymetal(*O*)
7/10 for me. One of my least favorite songs from the new album but still pretty good.
I think I gotta give this one a 7/10, it might seem a bit low but to me this sounds a little generic. If I wanna hear something like this I'll just check out LiSA.... Hint, hint...lol jk.
???
Lisa is completely different in style and much more intense with more usual beat.
This is closer to some math rock stuff.
3/10. Another one from Metal Galaxy that doesn't hit the spot for me.
