Restoring a vintage "walking doll's" matted hair

- This vintage walking doll was purchased on eBay. I has intended on putting a wig on her but the wigs were going to be way too big. Instead I was able to restore her own hair. Inside her head her hair is sewed in. Wow! I was also considering rooting new hair but after seeing the inside, I was really impressed. I really wanted to restore her short old lady classic bob. I feel like I've accomplished turning water into wine, lol. Well maybe not that grand.

She looks fantastic! Can you say how you got her head off? I have a doll whose hair needs help, but I don't know how to remove her head without breaking her.
Hi Elizabeth. I definitely need to make a video on me working on one of my vintage babies for you. There are a number of ways. Sometimes I don't remove the head at all and work around it. Sometimes I use my heart gun to help remove it. It just depends. I don't know about the stringed ones though. I haven't worked on them yet. I'm not that familiar with how to put them back together.
What did you use to wash her hair and what temperature water did you use?
