I think my favorite lines are "...so on the road to salvation, I stick out my thumb and he gives me a ride..." and "...and when I look back on the stars, it'll be like a candlelight in Central Park, and it won't break my heart to say goodbye." Fantastic cover of an amazing tune! By the way, have you ever heard the song BE STILL by Angie Lewis? It's a fantastic song from the 1980s (I found it among my mom's vinyl collection after I came to Christ). When I hear it, I get the same sense of prayer that I get from THERE YOU ARE or HOLD ME, JESUS.
This has always been one of my favorites of Rich Mullins and I've played it on my guitar and try to sing a lot because I just love it. So true! You did so great on it! Very pretty!
