Thank you for the appreciation 🙂 . You can use white colour pencil on blackpainted canvas.. But make sure that the tip of the colour pencil is sharp while drawing on canvas

Thank you 😊 yes you can try using gouache but I'm not sure about the finish whether the dots look same as of acrylic paints

As beautiful as this is starting to look I still would have one request if possible. I am totally new to this so everything’s a mystery to me. I just wish they would tell us what size dotting pen to use and where. It sometimes looks bigger that it is so the size of 6X6 was way smaller than I thought it was.
Also, the paint used in this is not mixed with Floetrol or any medium is it?
I realize this is an old video but I’m just getting started.

Thank you for your suggestion..:-) For materials used please find the link in my video description ..There are no specific sizes for dotting tools..once you get hang of it you will understand how to do them and where..I have actually used 6x6 canvas it looks bigger due to overhead camera angle.. I have only used Acrylic paints no medium in it..paints links are also in my description box.You can check them out.. As you are just starting you can find many videos related to dot mandala art in my channel and also other channel.. Just keep practicing , you will get it.. All the best :-) :-)

Yes you have to apply varnish after the paint dries completely.. In the video I forgot to record that step ..
