That’s the problem! Dragons age was for thinkers. She is saying how she likes it simple and less reading!! Why? Why dumb this franchise down to that? We loved reading all the codex. Duuuuude 👀 my dude, wait a second. This channel is about lore and narrative first of all. You're being a bit harsh to generalise me as a person who is dumb because I don't like to read the gear stats. Seriously? I have dyslexia 🤣 Moreover, English is my second language, so reading is double hard for me but I still do it. I feel your pain and ask you to be less judgemental when you come to a new channel. You do you when it comes to purchasing the game. It's admirable to know ones likes and dislikes.
Join the membership to become a Cool Goose and see your name in the titles! SO COOL! Now, let's talk about the convenient mechanics and rogue ultimates. I loved recent videos much more than the mage gameplay. I will still play as a mage for my first playthrough haha. How are we feeling about the progression and skill trees anyway?
I'm not mad at the skill trees, it's very diablo 4. I loved resetting and playing with different builds. However, I feel like DAO just had so many things right that just kind of eroded away with each new DA. It definitely had room to improve but it is still the one I can replay an almost infinite number of times and I I'm missing what once was. The path moves forward though and I'll try to walk into veilguard with a fresh mindset instead of picking at all the changes that I think made Dragon age games different and unique
I must admit the rogue gameplay was an improvement. It also helps because it is a class that I typically lean towards in many games. I thought I was going to try being a mage for role playing purposes but man the rogue class is calling me at the moment. I definitely am one of those who spends way too much time tinkering with weapons if I'm given an option. But I guess I'm indifferent to those changes at the moment if there's other compelling gameplay and other mechanics. I am liking the changes in the skill tree though. I'm hoping they feel more involved that those in DAI were. Overall I'm along for the ride but I'm definitely waiting for reviews from various sources that I have trusted in the past. For now let's enjoy the roller coaster until the October release 😂
@@ImpGoose As far as I could see, the Mage gameplay from IGN looked terrible because we saw no apparent traits, runes, jump attacks, detonations, blocks, etc being used, which made the spam of light/heavy attacks for normal combo rotations look stiff and repetitive. It also didn't help that they took a Necrotic focused build to fight Darkspawn who are resistant to it, or that they took a fully ranged party and then they began using a mage clearly not built for melee as a tank of sorts... So yeah. Presumably, all of that was just a result of Corine (game director, the one playing during the IGN video) being sh*t at the game in general or perhaps she was just too focused on the questions, dialogue and talking part of the interview, and so she was barely paying attention to what was actually happening on the game. Either way, hopefully we do eventually get a focused mage gameplay vid, with the controller on the hands of someone competent. Here's hoping.
Just looking at the companions in the background fighting enemies and doing NO DAMAGE at all is disappointing as hell, couple that with the fact that they cannot DIE... what was Bioware thinking??
It's just like Mass Effect, the party members are only for their controllable skills and aggro management. Think of it this way - if they killed enemies on their own and didn't die, you could literally just run around doing nothing and win all fights. And if they *could* die, it would be frustrating to play any class that isn't a healer. The way they did it is the only way they could reasonably do it, at least as an action RPG (it's why Atreus can't due in GoW).
The companions can do great damage, I just think that the system is set up for priming/detonation combos, which weight the damage more specifically towards Rook. In one of the latest presentations, Neve detonated a combo and did massive damage, while Rook's basic attacks did only a little damage. Abilities probably do more, but still less than a well executed combo move. However, because Rook has less cooldowns for abilities, it weights the detonating in Rook's favour, making it look (to me, from what I've seen) like Rook is the DPS, as opposed to companions who can also deal their share, but are on more cooldowns (1 ability per 60 seconds, I think I saw?). If I had to assign arbitrary numbers based of effect, I'd say basic attacks do 5 dmg, an ability 15 dmg, and a combo utilising a weakness maybe 30 dmg. I'm not saying you're wrong per se, but I think the system just weights towards Rook being the damage. Companions can pack a wallop, but you either need to direct it yourself perhaps, or set up behaviours to make them take advantage of combos when they're set up themselves. Edit: For the companions detonating, the Neve example was in the Progression gameplay series, in the 3rd part. If you watch the 1-3 part compilation, it's around the 9:20 mark. In the high level combat video, there's also an example of Lucanis doing similar, lots of damage as part of a detonation combination.
"what were they thinking??" Idk, you'll probably know once you play it. Why assume that they designed the game in a way that doesn't make sense before you play it? I just assume that I don't fully understand everything yet. And that's okay.
I agree that it's concerning, and I want the companions to actually be the impressive masters of their respective classes we're told they are by the story. I do think there's room to think that the devs may have toggled things in the background to prevent the companions from doing their normal damage, since the showcases are mainly highlighting Rook, ability synergies, and how things work from the player-end. It could also be a built-in part of the difficulty level or a separate dial that we will be able to change in settings, allowing us to make the combat harder/easier. It would be very disappointing for the companions be as weak as they've appeared thus far, but with how many customization options the devs have said there will be I think there's reason enough to keep watching to see if there's more here than they've shown off. 🙂
If you mean characters can’t die from story reasons, I’m not sure I know enough about that to make a conclusion, but if you mean in combat, characters can be downed and revived. Try to be hopeful we don’t until we get our hands on it
I'm so excited by the companion skill trees after the progression deep dive! There's more depth than I'd first thought, and I think there may be a mix of reasons causing some nodes/branches to be closed off. In Neve's case, since the closed off skills are binary choices with ones that had already been chosen, it makes sense that choosing one path on a tree may potentially close off others automatically. That could be approval related, but I think it more likely to be simply that you can only go one route based on the nature of the branch itself (as the top-right branch has both final paths filled in). So, some abilities may have a way to turn an ability into a heal or into a damage-dealer, for instance, but won't allow for both simultaneously. In Lucanis's case, however, I think it almost has to be a situation of rivalry/low approval, like you suggested. That angry eye icon is both above his name and over the blocked off skills -- his healing ability is closed off entirely by it. Imagine, he gets so miffed with Rook that he just refuses to heal them! I actually think it's a really fun and innovative way to play into the RPG element of it and give the companions some of the agency that appears to be missing on a surface level. Edit: Ooh! I just noticed that on Lucanis's tree, some nodes have the angry eye icon over them, but they aren't blocked off. I wonder if that means that he'll still perform the ability itself, but the modifier from that particular node won't apply until/unless Rook improves their relationship? Or does it change the modifier itself in some way? Seriously, I can't want to get my hands on this system and figure out all the quirky ways we can make it work!
The red crosses on the companions skill tree look to be a choice between two final branches/options for that particular skill. Like in other games for archers choosing if you want your arrow volley to have a bigger area, or be more lethal; you usually don't get both. See Lucanis' skill tree, left branch for example. The X closer to him shows the option between poison and necrotic damage, or perhaps lifesteal and necrotic damage. The Xed out symbol looks like a drop of poison or blood.
Yeah, I thought it could be the case but I want to have the rivalry option so much 😭 Anyway, your theory is way better and more realistic than mine haha
@@ImpGoose if it is the rivalry option they would block options, like a punishment, based on choices. Meaning they would steer the players interactions with companions in a very direct way, I don't think they would do that. But if they did, I wonder what the choices would be? Like a 'good' or supportive skill versus a cold blooded kill skill?
It is a curious thing to think about. Maybe rivalry will depend on how much Rook is involved in companions' lives and personal quests. For example, if we forget about them and just wander the world, they'll become sad or feel abandoned... Anyway, we shall see! The game is almost HERE!!!
I’m actually looking forward to the combat, can’t lie. I do like that apparently abilities can be hotkeyed to specific buttons, and the ability wheel would be great for pause-and-play. I did notice at one point in the video that both Bellara and Lucanis had their thumbnails shaded in red. I wonder if that means they’ll be able to be incapacitated?
@@garycannon4644 I don’t know about completely defending the game good sir! To be honest with you, there are concerns I have. I think that’s nearly everyone. Personally, I’ve seen enough of the game to want to give it a fair shake. Maybe I’ll be glad I made that call, maybe I’ll regret it. I don’t know that yet. Nobody does. I’ve been a fan since Origins. I’ll definitely admit that it’s the game to beat! The story was fantastic, art was dark and gritty… it was the first dark fantasy game I’ve played and it made me a fan of the sub-genre. The game helped me with personal problems and a cancer scare my mom had (thank God, she came back negative.). I’m only speaking for myself here. I can either *just* play Origins, or be willing to try new games in the series *and* still play Origins whenever I want. Finally, while a lot of Origins has aged well (the art and the story) the combat hasn’t, at least to me. The tactical aspect is still fun, but it’s weird having your character automatically attack until you use an ability. Game design has improved in 15 years. (Let’s see if the storytelling has too! 😁)
We shall see! Maybe the gear and weapon upgrade will stack passive bonuses making them OP after all. I wish I could tell more, but I need to play the game myself to make this theory real haha
Party members aren't like in the other DA games, or even Inquisition, in this. It isn't really a "party RPG" in a traditional sense. They aren't meant to independently kill things on their own. They're just extensions of your own character, like Atreus in the modern God of War games. I think a lot of people are misunderstanding this.
@@BenkaiDebussy there's ways around it,just get proper gear and a build that maximizes their innate talents as for skills it's not much of a issue they have shortcut keys so you can setup combos on the fly.
I am really looking forward to getting into all of these systems and to start experimenting to achieve both inevitable failure and success. For me that's part of the fun really. All DA installments have mechanically felt like quite the different games to me so I don't expect anything less from VG. There will be things I like, some I don't and in the end - as long as there's a good story to munch on (and plenty of stabbing) I'll be satisfied.
Yeah, balance is an achievable thing while pleasing every single gamer is a suicide haha. Can't wait to try all the things to make up my mind about the whole game 🥳
i agree. the duplicate system is an excelent idea. specially given how curate the itens will be. i doubt we can give companions weapons we loot for ourselves, since they have such unique playstyles, like bellara's bow.
I appreciate the video and the insights. I am currently using your videos as my primary window into what DA:V is going to be like. I find the style of your videos and your pleasant voice to be much more agreeable and easy to listen and watch than corporate "journalism" IGN-style. As for the game, I'm still very much on the fence. I have concerns or misgivings about almost every facet of this game: Gameplay, art-style, characters, story, respect for established lore, and character progression and abilities. The one thing that still pulls my interest towards DA:V, is that despite it all I do still have a fondness for the DA setting. I suppose we'll see where I end up.
When Someone from the Future says such things about this channel, it brings comfort haha. Yeah, I think it's not bad to take time and ponder whether you need to play it asap or later. No matter the option you choose, I hope you'll enjoy it 🔥
In Mass effect, I played a vanguard, charged into everything, and forgot that the conpanions even had wespons. They were always just company and banter. Even in dragon age i ended up 1-man-armying everything. In inquisition especially, keeping companions alive was harder than just killing everything and telling them to hang back. The play in Veilguard looks fine for me. But i understand why people who love using their companions tactically are disappointed. I hope you guys find some other pleasure, if not in this game, then something else. Maybe replay BG3 😅
True, it was pretty easy to solo in DAI, so seeing companions doing little damage doesn't worry me. Moreover, I'm sure that with all the passives and weapon upgrades...they will have enough damage from basic attacks. Btw, Larian released patch 7 and it has mods. If some won't play DAV, they can indeed replay an overmodded version of BG3 haha
Based off of how your describing the game I'm sure you never played origins and only played on easy mode going in alone would simply not work if you weren't
Wait was this another new gameplay video? Where can I find it??? Whenever I go on the ea website and go to the blogs I can never find the lastest videos. Anyone have a link?
I play Dragon Age for the continued story, it is like a major fantasy book series, the gameplay is secondary and the rest is third. I wasn't particularly interested in Star Wars outlaws though certain streamers and commenters were itching for it, there were those who were very disappointed with Ubisoft lately. Luckily I'm no established fan of theirs so no loss there. I was and hopefully still am a BioWare fan but we'll see when Veilguard releases... They should have gone with Microsoft, EA has grinded them down.
Sounds like a solid opinion! I'm not a fan of Star Wars games and my knowledge about the universe ends with shows and movies. Still SW Outlaws case is incredible in terms of poor journalism. Studying it was something ngl. DA lore is indeed a great example of a fantasy story that deserves to be treated as books. Fingers crossed, we will not be disappointed! 🔥🤟🏼
My hypothesis is that companions have level caps of 21 due to not having a shared exp progression. I hope not though... or maybe, rook can get access to all 3 specializations trees?
They have said that we can only have one Specialization active at any given time (which unlocks at lvl 20 btw), but we are free to change specializations whenever we reset skill points, which is easy/cheap to do.
Look I am a king time fan of the DA franchise. But I do have my concerns for this one and am approach in g it skeptically. That being said, I am still going to bite the bullet and get this one. I am sold on the combat, but the am more interested in the story and world. If they can knock that out of the park then I will be satisfied.
Ill tell you how it works on xbox it seems the bunpers give you acess to their skills like a more advanced verson of me where you could map skills to s button,so yes you dont need to pause.
I usually don't pay that much attention to skill trees and whatnot and stay in camp of people who enjoys story, lore, companions and roleplaying elements of the game. After everything we seen so far combat seem fine enough. Last rogue footage even made me hopeful for mages, since underwhelming presentation during that IGN gameplay video most likely happened because it was done by producer, who was simultaneously giving interview to a journalist, instead of dedicated play tester, as we saw with rogue and warrior overviews. Having hot keys is great, I'm definitely gonna use them, action feels more fluid this way. As for shop upgrades and stuff, I'm still on the fence with gathering grass and rocks for shopkeepers, since it's still not clear how we gonna get this materials. Hopefully they will fall as loot from defeated enemies, and we won't have to play mommy's little miner again. I also interested in persona of Lighthouse Caretaker, devs gave a hint we could built relationship with him and he is not what he seem, it giving major Withers vibes. Curious.
That's curious indeed. Considering that most of the spirits in the Fade have some kind of an emotional manifestation, the Caretaker could literally be a reflection of parental love haha
I love the Dragon age series all of three games so far for me were great, ofcourse different but great all !I have put in ,DAINQUSITON about 1400h and l can't wait for this next chapter to come out! After the first trailer l was disappointed but now after everything they showed l just can't wait to buy make builds and hope for the great story! The only thing that l don't like r those purple colours they should have stayed maximum like DAI pallet of colours but it is what it is l stil will play the game hoping it to be one of the best game of the year
Greetings, my fellow-DA-more-than-1k-hours-gamer haha. We share similar thoughts! Sadly, the game can't be perfect for everyone and I agree that it has many changes that deserve to be experienced
I play all of them which leads to spending more than 1k hours in a game. Traditionally, my first playthrough is a female elven mage. I'll go for necro-healer, I think 🤔 What's yours?
@@ImpGoose ahhhh a interesting choice,I was going to play a elf assassin specializing in saboteur but I might go qunari as long as I can tailor that massive head.
I think the blocked branches are likely mutually-exclusive skills, so you pick either one or the other on a branch and can't do both. I am not a big fan of rivalry or other opening skills ... Like, bro got so angry with me he decided to change his skillset? Nah
My concern has never been gameplay, but RPG features. I mean... being able to explore and not having everything to simplify my life in game... being able to take moral choices .... and live a good story. Let`s see how it goes. The rest is acessory. I understand the "in game" value of this upgrade systems.. But I feel that the world is only there for me. Does not sustain itself on it`s own, as they have said it would be.. But I guess it is preference. So... no big deal... buuut. one thing... Did you feel that the companions have no A.I whatsoever? I mean... Looks like they just walk around the battlefield expecting for something to combo with u. So.... it`s like... we dont control them *no problem for me.. but they are only there for the story (no problem either) and not for combat. these combos could`ve been anyhow.. It`s cool that it`s made with companions, but it would be better if they had agency, since we dont control them... This way, they could combo, but would be fighting and possibily dying by themselves
Did I just see a combo move for riposte, like X,X,R?!? Don't know how j feel about that. Although as a plus having moves like that are a way to make up for less abilities available on the bar. Maker I just don't know if I'm going to like these major changes to mechanics and party control We shall see I suppose
I feel you. There are a lot of changes that trigger some confusion or even bad emotions. Let's hope for the best! Regarding the hotkeys. Maybe we will be able to change them for our convenience? Sometimes games give this freedom...
I don't see the negative in having more combos and abilities by making then multi button presses. I thought everyone hated inquisition hold R1 to fight setup
I can`t stand the gear MMO system :/ But ok... And... I agree the difference between mechanics and everything else. I guess, it should be more "dark fantasy" .. cause i like it and expect it from Dragon Age... I guess that is the whole problem. There is a stablished expectation. Adds are welcomed by people, when they don't affect what is dear to them. Changes are not the problem. It is where and why changes are applied
It just looks like dragon age children’s version. Why have they changed it so much. It wasn’t broken. The art style is awful imagine how good it could of looked as dark fantasy with gaming power today
In my mind, the only Level 50 mage will be Hawke. I know it could haven't been achieved back then, but I couldn't done it. Veric's unused line is stuck in my head. "Hawke is an Archmage without peer." I'm sorry, but that's just the way my mind works. That aside, this is great!
I hope they have something like crafting bag from ESO, just not paywalled. I really disliked crafting in Inquisition. My Inquisitor felt half of playthrough like it's an overglorified mule, having to carry each material for entire Inquisition. I really do not want that system again. It pretty much ruined crafting to me.
Whats the point of taking companions with me, when they do nothing on the battlefield? Gosh, I hope someone makes a mod to fix this soon after the game releases. Your party members doing no damage is just ridiculous.
But...they do 👀 not much at that point, though if you upgrade your passives in skill trees, weapons and armour, I'm sure the companions will have a significant boost in basic attacks
Your companions are there to either detonate or prime enemies for a combo. It's a damn Dragon Age game, OF COURSE you're gona being companions especially for story reasons.
@@Krushniccc Sounds like total bs. I was hoping for something more like Dragons Dogma combat-wise, when I heard they were going full action combat. This is just a re-skin of Mass Effects companions. Really needs modding asap.
i totally feel you. every presentation almost feels like doomscrolling but now i must admit feel releaved too. I was sure the game would be hyper woke but its just a little woke. i can live with that^^ I must. Btw i love the visuals^^ Also the poe like skilltree.
You made a good preview about this game. But stil, the art direction, im not a fan of. Too clean, bland and cheap looking. Going back to origins, one of their approachs to making different npcs, was inperfection; that made them more real.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. I want to like what they put out, I really do, it just feels "off" though.... But I'm still gonna play it so guess I'm part of the problem. But here is a mini list off the top of my head to mock/compare: Pluses - New lore, characters feel that could be interesting, exploration of new places and to be fair I do like the weapon load out/rune system. Negatives - Chibi/cutsey art style, stupidity of every companion being bisexual (come on why can't a old man just be gay, or manic pixie elf be lesbian, or broody assassin just put it about with anyone), every class I've seen looks like a new skin for a dodge rouge build, being able to redistribute stats or abilities when you feel like it (honestly this annoyed me probably more than it should but I don't like it, hoping I got wrong end of stick with this one), MMO type combat system, Fortnite like bright and wonderful colours for the ADHD/TikTok generation (might be showing my bias and age there but feck it) and what seems like a lean into identity politics (I could be wrong here again and willing to admit if I am) I have a simple rule when it comes to games "every pound spent on game equals an hour", so if I spend 50 quid that game needs to supply 50 hours worth of entertainment fer it to be a good game in my mind and for it's faults (or perceived faults) unless I truly hate it. I'm invested in the universe enough to most likley do those 50 odd hours. So again yes, I guess I'm part of the problem. XD Sorry for long comment, kinda just kept typing.
No worries at all! I enjoyed reading well opinionated comments as they often show unique approaches. A pound for an hour is a cool concept 🔥🤟🏼 I kinda want to justify my future purchases with it haha. Can I use this quote in my next video with the screenshot of this comment?
Diamonds are abilities circles are ability upgrades and each companion only has 5 abilities and wint he as flexible as other companions. Disappointing.
Lol, not even close. The last Bioware video actually had some Inquisition footage mixed in with Veilguard footage, talking about Scout Harding. Veilguard looks way better in comparison.
No matter how much cope is pumped in you can activley see the companions being useless this ip was sold to brainless devs who in turn made a game for people who lack the cognitive ability to play anything more advanced than tetris
the bad opinions about Starwars Outlaws come mainly from people who didn't play it I've seen a lot of hate based on preconceived ideas or ideology I would have liked to see videos of gameplay where the person gave an opinion based on his gameplay telling me exactly what were the problems of the game but I didn't see anything of the sort I only saw videos of hate and insults without any explanations about why the game was supposed to be rubbish like they said. and you can be sure the same people will do the exact same thing with this game.
The sale numbers for Outlaws speak volumes. People are not interested in this game. Ubisoft already said that they are going through hard times financially. Which is a good thing. They have f*cked up too often and now they are paying the price. AC: Shadows will probs flop as well. You can call everyone who criticizes their games whatever names you want. But these people are in the majority and they are right. Ubisoft clearly forgot who the target audience for their games is. And now they are blaming that target audience for not buying their games who are not made for that target audience in the first place. Pathetic.
If you are not willing to do your own research at least by searching it on UA-cam...we can't really have a meaningful conversation. The game has mechanics from Assassin's Creed that worked a decade ago, but doesn't work today even though they were made by the same studio. A protagonist can't use a ladder whilst having a weapon, but her micro pet can. I'm not even talking about the broken AI when you perform stealth missions. Instead of listening to others, it's better to explore the subject by yourself if you don't trust gamers. Yes, there will be people who dislike DAV for many reasons, however the Veilguard is fully developed and simply can't repeat the SW Outlaws journey. Therefore, predicting that haters gonna hate is true but these games are entirely different in terms of quality.
@@ImpGoose I'm not saying they are the same in terms of quality Bioware games were always top and even Andromeda that's not top is a good game in my opinion (unpopular opinion I know but I played it and I liked it). I will form my own opinion about SW Outlaws but I like many Ubisoft games and I never found they were full of bugs or unpleasant to play anyway you can't deny there is so much hate towards that game based on prejudice or ideology and not on technical issues and the same has already happened towards this game.

I'm noticing the live service aspects that were left in. Let's hope they were fully integrated for single-player use.👌🏾
I fear the opposite that after launch they will start introducing live service things like EA and Ubisoft have done in past titles.

"what were they thinking??"
Idk, you'll probably know once you play it.
Try to be hopeful we don’t until we get our hands on it
The combat actions need to be sped up, like the spin and thrust seems unrealistically slow. I really hope that Rook can be a support healer.
The progression does look fun and entertaining to play with! Still hope to see rivalry vs approval abilities haha
great video goose
Honk! 🥳
This could be a good game but its definitely wait for the sale type though
@@ImpGoose Or maybe their personal questlines end up differently? And yes, so close!
The combat is fun! I think we can wipe. It's a bit strange to not be able to have "game over. Load the last save" option.
You've been able to hockey abilities since origins though, people will say anything to defend this game sheesh
I’m disappointed that U can’t make party members OP I just hope there A.I. will be good not useless.
We shall see! Maybe the gear and weapon upgrade will stack passive bonuses making them OP after all. I wish I could tell more, but I need to play the game myself to make this theory real haha
Where there's a will there's a way,I will have my god garus build back.
@@BenkaiDebussy Then more this should have been a solo game Dam it BioWare.
@@ImpGoose Hm-mm, seems like a very healthy approach to me. ;)
i agree. the duplicate system is an excelent idea. specially given how curate the itens will be. i doubt we can give companions weapons we loot for ourselves, since they have such unique playstyles, like bellara's bow.
I think we will give them weapons tbh. Maybe everything will be marked with their names though
@@ImpGoose yeah. Probably unique weapons for then.
It's from IGN and Dragon Age channels 😁 They were posted last week and Progression video showcased a rogue class
@@ImpGoose Aaah okay, I thought for a second they'd released another new vid.
Dang it, I'm second quessing my intentions to play as a mage. 😭
Haha, understandable 😜
Where did you get some of this footage from? Not seen it before!
It's from IGN and Dragon Age channels 😁
@@ImpGoose oh really? I've watched every video. Guessing it's probably bits from the companions video that I skimmed over 👍🏻
I love the Dragon age series all of three games so far for me were great, ofcourse different but great all !I have put in ,DAINQUSITON about 1400h and l can't wait for this next chapter to come out!
Honk! I see a Goose video and I click.
Honk 🥰
Taash looks like trash , sorry . cant believe im so hesitant to preorder a game ive been waiting 8 yrs for , in my favorite franchise ever ...
hahahah even their stocks went down
Shiiit
Do you have inmind a class and playstyle?
Edit: i love the bioware videos but the ign ones are AWFUL.
Nah
Fair enough!
You don't use X, right?
No, I don't. Is there something interesting going on? 😅
@@ImpGoose I wanted to follow you back! I love your content! Keep on 🙌🏼
Thank you so much 😊 If I have it one day, I'll let you know!
@@ImpGoose there's a huge community of Dragon age there 🫡
My concern has never been gameplay, but RPG features. I mean... being able to explore and not having everything to simplify my life in game... being able to take moral choices .... and live a good story.
We shall see! The game has too many changes unfortunately which complicates our predictions
The people who think this game is going to suck, they're dead wrong. The more I hear, the better it sounds.
Yeah, it has balanced sides, good and questionable. It has a lot to offer but not for everyone. I'm looking forward to playing it 😁
@ImpGoose True, there's just people who want to see it fail and that's a bad attitude to have.
Maybe but the OG fans don’t want this , it looks like dragon age kid’s version
well bioware really changed up the marketing.. game is looking better and better.. still the same game.. still have my issues with it.. but DA is DA..
Did I just see a combo move for riposte, like X,X,R?!?
Don't know how j feel about that. Although as a plus having moves like that are a way to make up for less abilities available on the bar.
Maker I just don't know if I'm going to like these major changes to mechanics and party control
We shall see I suppose
Hot keys could be a plus depending on the execution and layout
I feel you. There are a lot of changes that trigger some confusion or even bad emotions. Let's hope for the best!
Regarding the hotkeys. Maybe we will be able to change them for our convenience? Sometimes games give this freedom...
2:00 It's actually X, Y, OR RT -- looks like options of button presses instead of multiple button presses.
It is where and why changes are applied
yeah, it looks so generic like destiny. in dai or bg3 when i get a purple weapon or armor im hyped, it feels special and has lore behind it.
It just looks like dragon age children’s version. Why have they changed it so much. It wasn’t broken. The art style is awful imagine how good it could of looked as dark fantasy with gaming power today
10-15 $ is max for this cartoon game.
Thats the storage system, not the crafting system. The crafting system was one of the best crafting systems in an RPG, imo. It was awesome.
companions are so unattractive, makes me wanna cry...
Hype what exactly?!
This game is 25 % gameplay, 75 % lgbt things.
Lgbt things?
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
I want to like what they put out, I really do, it just feels "off" though.... But I'm still gonna play it so guess I'm part of the problem.
But here is a mini list off the top of my head to mock/compare:
Pluses - New lore, characters feel that could be interesting, exploration of new places and to be fair I do like the weapon load out/rune system.
Negatives - Chibi/cutsey art style, stupidity of every companion being bisexual (come on why can't a old man just be gay, or manic pixie elf be lesbian, or broody assassin just put it about with anyone), every class I've seen looks like a new skin for a dodge rouge build, being able to redistribute stats or abilities when you feel like it (honestly this annoyed me probably more than it should but I don't like it, hoping I got wrong end of stick with this one), MMO type combat system, Fortnite like bright and wonderful colours for the ADHD/TikTok generation (might be showing my bias and age there but feck it) and what seems like a lean into identity politics (I could be wrong here again and willing to admit if I am)
I have a simple rule when it comes to games "every pound spent on game equals an hour", so if I spend 50 quid that game needs to supply 50 hours worth of entertainment fer it to be a good game in my mind and for it's faults (or perceived faults) unless I truly hate it. I'm invested in the universe enough to most likley do those 50 odd hours.
So again yes, I guess I'm part of the problem. XD
Sorry for long comment, kinda just kept typing.
No worries at all! I enjoyed reading well opinionated comments as they often show unique approaches. A pound for an hour is a cool concept 🔥🤟🏼 I kinda want to justify my future purchases with it haha. Can I use this quote in my next video with the screenshot of this comment?
@@ImpGoose More than welcome to use.
@@ScottiHubba I'll play it for the 50 devs who got let go, not for the new team who gravels at EAs feet.

the graphuics looked better in inquisition
We got zero hair movement though in Inquisition.
@@sonnenblumefrau2048 Thank god they fixed the hairs they were horrendous in DA:I.
Lol, not even close. The last Bioware video actually had some Inquisition footage mixed in with Veilguard footage, talking about Scout Harding. Veilguard looks way better in comparison.
No matter how much cope is pumped in you can activley see the companions being useless this ip was sold to brainless devs who in turn made a game for people who lack the cognitive ability to play anything more advanced than tetris
say no to woke games.
the bad opinions about Starwars Outlaws come mainly from people who didn't play it I've seen a lot of hate based on preconceived ideas or ideology I would have liked to see videos of gameplay where the person gave an opinion based on his gameplay telling me exactly what were the problems of the game but I didn't see anything of the sort I only saw videos of hate and insults without any explanations about why the game was supposed to be rubbish like they said. and you can be sure the same people will do the exact same thing with this game.
I will form my own opinion about SW Outlaws but I like many Ubisoft games and I never found they were full of bugs or unpleasant to play anyway you can't deny there is so much hate towards that game based on prejudice or ideology and not on technical issues and the same has already happened towards this game.
lol they put a pakistani protagonist wtf
