Dude. This comic reminds me so much of a series I used to enjoy as a child called "Flow" from webtoon. Especially the ending. They were EXACTLY THE SAME and it makes me so happy
oh yeah this one. I dropped this due to how stupid the MC is when he decided to stay around after finding out she's a princess and he's an alleged yankee. yankees and authorities don't mix well. no idea what the author is smoking.
It's a plot device to usually make the MC more likable. It also helps that if the MC lacks common sense of the world, they are at greater risk to shenanigans happening to drive the plot forward.
