I love that literally everything makes you want to watch more In The Soop lol. Relateable. I remember being super new to BTS and having that odd, disconcerting feeling of seeing them as idols one moment and then seeing their natural off-stage selfs the next moment. When you watch too much content of them as their regular selves, it's so easy to forget that they're a bunch of super famous, super talented, multi-millionaires who live such a different life from me. They're such down to earth, gentle souls who wear their hearts on their sleeves with it comes to ARMY and the other members. Then you see their stage personas and they're beasts on the mic and doing choreo with flashy outfits and it takes you off guard. Like oh yeah...this is their job. They're actual superstars. Jin has such a beautiful duality. They all do to be fair. But he's such a sweetheart but also a jokester but also the best eldest brother a team could ask for but also the most thoughtful person while also being insanely skilled at what he does. He worked so hard even when the team would rest, he'd go in private to practice some more. BigHit found such a gem in Jin. Their casting team deserves every award for finding our seven.
I can honestly say that Epiphany live *literally* saved my life. It was my second BTS song ever and I bawled my eyes out when I first heard it. I was in a very dark place at the time but Epiphany inspired me to fight and make some difficult but much needed changes to my life. I'm forever grateful to the guys for that because I truly believe I wouldn't be here today without Epiphany. After talking with ARMYs all over the world I know for a fact that it has saved many other people's lives as well. As the ultimate answer of the Love Yourself album series it's a very important song in their discography. My only "qualms" with Epiphany are 1) That the MV is only partial and 2) That Bang PD only chose a small part of Jin's own melody for it. RM shared that Jin worked really hard on it and was very disappointed about it. Jin picked the Epiphany demo version for their anthology album Proof (the third CD was demos and personal picks and it wasn't released digitally, only physically. People have uploaded it though.). You *have* to hear the demo version! It's only placeholder lyrics but OMG the melody is so stunning and fits absolutely perfectly with Jin's voice. Jin is actually a surprisingly deep guy. He has made some amazingly profound statements over the years and RM has shared that some of his well-known speeches were inspired by something Jin said. He tends to play the class clown but there's a lot more to him than that. 💜

Jin hits you straight in the heart with his vocals. This song really changed the way I see and treat myself. I used to do everything for others, putting there needs above my own. A real peoplepleaser and while doing everything for others I forgot myself. This song made me see that I have put myself first and that you can do that without being selfish. It really is. I always am amazed at the way his voice cuts through the music sometimes. Like his vocals on Run BTS in the Busan Concert had me in shock. I was surprised to find out that he was struggling to speak just hours before.

Jin is, for me, the voice of BTS - all 7 are individually amazing...collectively they are untouchable - but Jin...he's next level. When he was scouted by BigHit that day, they could not have known the stunning voice they would eventually hear unleashed. Jin had no formal singing background either - makes his journey even more amazing. I am so looking forward to what he puts out after he completes his military service - it is going to be epic :) 💜

Epiphany is one of the first songs i heard when i discovered bts. It had such an emotional impact on me. I just remember crying for hours and reflecting on how i saw myself as a person. I also truly realised bts makes healing music. Epiphany is one of those songs ARMYs can sing word for word in Korean. The lyrics are simple and poetic. It also is profound because jin sings it. The previous jin song in bts albums before Epiphany is called Awake and its about his insecurities in the group. So Epiphany is so impactful when Jin is singing it. Also the explanation video you watched is about the music videos of bts from 2015 to 2018. They had a story line in music videos. You can check if a bts music video is part of the story line by checking if it has the Description "BU CONTENT CERTIFIED BY BIGHIT". That means the video content (NOT the song)... is part of the BTS music video storyline.

Tae's and Jin's are my fave voices in the group. I became an Army after I watched Hwarang (a kdrama series) in 2016, which Tae starred in and him and Jin sang an ost for. But I also love the others' voices esp the rapline's which are super underrated. Hobi in Spring Day, Joonie singing in 4oclock, Yoongi singin Seesaw. My fave Jimin song is Filter and Jk's Lost Stars and Nothing Like Us. 🥰🤩💜💜
When I first heard Epiphany, I was very moved. The melody of this song was so beautiful, and the lyrics made me fall into this song even more. But, his live performance hit my heart differently. I don't know how to explain it, but I felt his emotions overflowing in his clear voice. I even thought that his falsetto was holy. 😭 Deserving what the name stands for Silver Voice.... I’ve been a fan since 2015, but this song was really the hit it never fails to make me cry, I almost ended life until that comeback it was the end of their love yourself trilogy and it saved my life. I am so happy I am here today because life got better and not only that I saw him live, singing it. It felt so personal like he was singing to me.
Epiphany is my favorite song from Jin. He struggled to write this song bc he had to reach down to a dark place that he didn’t like to go to. Even though Jin is known to be the jokester and the fake maknae of the group, he felt rather inadequate in the beginning when he compared himself to rest of the group (who are talented musicians, singers, and dancers). He was recruited off the street due to his looks and didn’t know how to sing or dance. He thought that Big Hit would cast him as an actor. He had to work really hard in both singing and dancing to become the one to debut as BTS. Jin’s work ethics inspired the younger members to hard even harder. Even though the other members like to joke with him, they really respect him.
My bias is Jungkook always has been since the first time I saw them over 4yrs ago but Jin's solo songs are my absolute favourite they just get me in the feels everytime his voice is so unique and beautiful 💜

Still enjoying your BTS reactions! I think this song really captures the essence of what it means to love yourself. It’s not about trying to be perfect or say that you’re amazing, it’s about truly accepting your imperfect self and appreciating who you actually are. When we truly love others, we see their imperfections and love them anyway because of who they are. Loving yourself is offering yourself that same grace and we forget to do that for ourselves. Dating is difficult because sometimes we just don’t match personalities or values or sometimes there’s larger issues, so it’s important to figure out if that’s what’s happening or if we’re expecting perfection from others because we haven’t yet accepted our own imperfections.

Loving how you go deep in your reactions, exploring explanations and different performances. I think those who don'r do this miss so much. BTS are deep, and their MVs are even deeper, with so many details and symbols that are easily missed. The music and MV are still enjoyable, but the additional details add so much. I wonder if you have yet found out about the BT Universe, which is a fictional story that runs through several MVs - not all of them, but even ones that are not specifically about the BT narrative may well include references. DKDKTV's explanation videos are great, and this one clarifies that the MV here is at least a part of the BTU. Jin learned to play this part on the piano specifically for live performances. Love him. One thing I'd like to add is that loving yourself can be a straight-forward choice and has little to do with actual self-esteem or pride. It is a decision to see the best in yourself, and to not ignore the faults or areas for improvement, but to not obsess about them. Decide to try to improve but don't let yourself be too self critical@ we are all a tapestry of light and dark. Some philosophies point out that without shadows, light blinds us - and I think that's true. Shadows (and even our faults) are part of our beauty. Whether Jin had problems with self-esteem I don;t know but I do believe that every member in BTS is self-reflective and often very self-critical. Jin is an introvert, and is also a shy person who has found ways to cope with all the attention - WWH is simply an amusing and somewhat self-mocking coping mechanism. I dont know if you noticed, but there’s a fictional story, "BU:bangtan universe”, that goes on through bts’ music videos, their webtoon, notes that can be found on certain albums, and mobile games. And it should not be mixed with the reality. It may be very confusing but xCeleste made a very good summary video where she collected all the pieces of information and explained them in chronological order. If you want to have a better understanding of that alternate universe, I suggest you watch it, it’s very very interesting (you should watch the 2020 version though, it’s the most recent one)

It's actually good for future references so he won't get lost, so when the time comes he reacts to their songs involving the BU (e.g fake love) he'd probably just go like "Oh so that's what the video is referring to.. oh now I see it~". It won't hurt to just have a little glimpse of what's inside of the BU or to have an idea about it, it really helps for a better viewpoint. But ofc it's still up to him.

hi rex i have been enjoying your reactions of bts alot, you seem genuinely curious about them which makes your videos fun to watch one thing you said about jin having to struggle with self love cause he is the ' visual' of the group, but infact his looks is one part of himself that he feels really confident about and in a good way too jin has struggled with self love, especially in their early days regarding his singing and dancing cause he believed to be less talented than the other 6 and should not have debuted at that time (which is obviously NOT true, he was amazing from the start) but we can see his struggle with self love and self acceptance in his solo songs especially awake and abyss which are about his Imposter Syndrome, and i think he struggles with that to this day but over the years we have seen seokjin's growth into an amazing performer and musician, and his journey of self love has helped millions of armys as well
I always enjoy seeing people's reactions when they first watch BTS. And then soon becoming a BTS fan. So that means you're on my list now. Lol! I feel proud as an ARMY 'cause a lot of the so-called "BTS non- believers" or at some "BTS haters" become an ARMY themselves. I, too, was in that same exact situation way back. But thankfully, during the pandemic when people's anxiety is at its peak. I suddenly get to appreciate BTS. For me, I felt as if it was some sort of a divine intervention. Like, "Hey I will introduce you to these 7 guys and they'll help you with your anxiety". And from then on, not a single day passed without me watching videos of these boys. And I became much happier. I learned a lot from them; the message they want to give out through their songs. I totally appreciate their friendship and how they started as a group. I also want to give a disclaimer- I LOVE ALL THEM 7 BOYS. But my ultimate bias is Suga. 'Cause how he thinks, his emotions and his love for his members is too deep. Epiphany is one of the first songs i heard when i discovered bts.
It had such an emotional impact on me. I just remember crying for hours and reflecting on how i saw myself as a person. I also truly realised bts makes healing music. Epiphany is one of those songs ARMYs can sing word for word in Korean. The lyrics are simple and poetic.
It also is profound because jin sings it.
The previous jin song in bts albums before Epiphany is called Awake and its about his insecurities in the group.
So Epiphany is so impactful when Jin is singing it.

Army's often say that Jin's inner persona is suga outer persona and vice versa.He is an introvert,a very calm and deep person and more than his goofy self which he mostly show us. he rarely shows his other side BCS he just want to show his best self to us.but we got a little glimpse of his wisdom through his very u can say simple words like u watched in the soop "then he flings it" which is a big motivation for many army's as told by them in comments before and we can see his deep side or you can say his real self(I hope I worded this correctly)through his songs like abyss,tonight etc..cant wait for him and all members to comeback again💜
Tae's and Jin's are my fave voices in the group. I became an Army after I watched Hwarang (a kdrama series) in 2016, which Tae starred in and him and Jin sang an ost for. But I also love the others' voices esp the rapline's which are super underrated. Hobi in Spring Day, Joonie singing in 4oclock, Yoongi singin Seesaw. My fave Jimin song is Filter and Jk's Lost Stars and Nothing Like Us. 🥰🤩💜💜

I’ve been a fan since 2015, but this song was really the hit it never fails to make me cry, I almost ended life until that comeback it was the end of their love yourself trilogy and it saved my life. I am so happy I am here today because life got better and not only that I saw him live, singing it. It felt so personal like he was singing to me.
Epiphany is my favorite song from Jin. He struggled to write this song bc he had to reach down to a dark place that he didn’t like to go to. Even though Jin is known to be the jokester and the fake maknae of the group, he felt rather inadequate in the beginning when he compared himself to rest of the group (who are talented musicians, singers, and dancers). He was recruited off the street due to his looks and didn’t know how to sing or dance. He thought that Big Hit would cast him as an actor. He had to work really hard in both singing and dancing to become the one to debut as BTS. Jin’s work ethics inspired the younger members to hard even harder. Even though the other members like to joke with him, they really respect him.
My bias is Jungkook always has been since the first time I saw them over 4yrs ago but Jin's solo songs are my absolute favourite they just get me in the feels everytime his voice is so unique and beautiful 💜
I think this is a song meant for one to reflect on one's self. I love the live performance. He feels every word he sings. As does the entire BTS group when they sing. I could see after the first bar, that you were feeling his incredible voice!💜

Still enjoying your BTS reactions! I think this song really captures the essence of what it means to love yourself. It’s not about trying to be perfect or say that you’re amazing, it’s about truly accepting your imperfect self and appreciating who you actually are. When we truly love others, we see their imperfections and love them anyway because of who they are. Loving yourself is offering yourself that same grace and we forget to do that for ourselves. Dating is difficult because sometimes we just don’t match personalities or values or sometimes there’s larger issues, so it’s important to figure out if that’s what’s happening or if we’re expecting perfection from others because we haven’t yet accepted our own imperfections.

- He did in fact not write the melody for Epiphany as we know it. He worked really hard on producing his own version only for Bang PD to replace it a few days before deadline with a melody that he felt would fit better in the over-all album concept. However Jin's own version is on their new album and I'm dying to hear it! 😱 (Drops June 10th, with a free online concert "with a special guest" on their debut date June 13th.)
- Jin has hit a G5# live, full-on belting, without even going into breathy falsetto, in his famous triple high note in Crystal Snow.
- Epiphany has literally saved the lives of so many people, mine included. I've seen grown men and women cry when they first heard it. It's message has pulled people out of some very dark thoughts and situations and/or inspired them to change their circumstances.
- Epiphany is also very important to the guys themselves and Suga even named it as his favorite BTS song once.

Singularity, Serendipity, Epiphany and Euphoria are all written to coexist together and explaining different parts/stages of relationships (not necessarily just with a significant other etc but also with friendships, family and oneself). They are part of the Love Yourself series which is broken up into 3 different albums (serendipity is on “HER”, singularity is on “TEAR” euphoria and epiphany on “ANSWER”) hence why the vibes can be seen as continuous or similar in some aspects musically. Loving how you go deep in your reactions, exploring explanations and different performances. I think those who don'r do this miss so much. BTS are deep, and their MVs are even deeper, with so many details and symbols that are easily missed. The music and MV are still enjoyable, but the additional details add so much. I wonder if you have yet found out about the BT Universe, which is a fictional story that runs through several MVs - not all of them, but even ones that are not specifically about the BT narrative may well include references. DKDKTV's explanation videos are great, and this one clarifies that the MV here is at least a part of the BTU.
Jin learned to play this part on the piano specifically for live performances. Love him.
One thing I'd like to add is that loving yourself can be a straight-forward choice and has little to do with actual self-esteem or pride. It is a decision to see the best in yourself, and to not ignore the faults or areas for improvement, but to not obsess about them. Decide to try to improve but don't let yourself be too self critical@ we are all a tapestry of light and dark. Some philosophies point out that without shadows, light blinds us - and I think that's true. Shadows (and even our faults) are part of our beauty.
Whether Jin had problems with self-esteem I don;t know but I do believe that every member in BTS is self-reflective and often very self-critical. Jin is an introvert, and is also a shy person who has found ways to cope with all the attention - WWH is simply an amusing and somewhat self-mocking coping mechanism. So is his humour : he genuinely enjoys it, and it is his personality, but it can sometimes be a defense. We all have those: they are precious and crucial. I'm certain Jin is quite aware of this too.
Please continue to react to BTS music. It warms my heart when people share their genuine and considered reactions to BTS' music, because I see a lot of people approaching their work from. let's say, a "different"! perspective.
Much as I love ItS and BV etc, they put so much into their music and performances, and it is those which portray their ideas and struggles as THEY want to express them. ItS and BV are very engaging because they look iike 'normal' and 'fun' (and I think they are) but they are still work.

I dont know if you noticed, but there’s a fictional story, "BU:bangtan universe”, that goes on through bts’ music videos, their webtoon, notes that can be found on certain albums, and mobile games. And it should not be mixed with the reality.
It may be very confusing but xCeleste made a very good summary video where she collected all the pieces of information and explained them in chronological order. If you want to have a better understanding of that alternate universe, I suggest you watch it, it’s very very interesting (you should watch the 2020 version though, it’s the most recent one)
I think he should not be getting in BU before watching all the MVs. It might be confusing. It is good that he wants to know about the boys but I think watching them chronologically will make more sense.

It's actually good for future references so he won't get lost, so when the time comes he reacts to their songs involving the BU (e.g fake love) he'd probably just go like "Oh so that's what the video is referring to.. oh now I see it~". It won't hurt to just have a little glimpse of what's inside of the BU or to have an idea about it, it really helps for a better viewpoint. But ofc it's still up to him.

one thing you said about jin having to struggle with self love cause he is the ' visual' of the group, but infact his looks is one part of himself that he feels really confident about and in a good way too
jin has struggled with self love, especially in their early days regarding his singing and dancing cause he believed to be less talented than the other 6 and should not have debuted at that time (which is obviously NOT true, he was amazing from the start) but we can see his struggle with self love and self acceptance in his solo songs especially awake and abyss which are about his Imposter Syndrome, and i think he struggles with that to this day
but over the years we have seen seokjin's growth into an amazing performer and musician, and his journey of self love has helped millions of armys as well

I always enjoy seeing people's reactions when they first watch BTS. And then soon becoming a BTS fan. So that means you're on my list now. Lol! I feel proud as an ARMY 'cause a lot of the so-called "BTS non- believers" or at some "BTS haters" become an ARMY themselves. I, too, was in that same exact situation way back. But thankfully, during the pandemic when people's anxiety is at its peak. I suddenly get to appreciate BTS. For me, I felt as if it was some sort of a divine intervention. Like, "Hey I will introduce you to these 7 guys and they'll help you with your anxiety". And from then on, not a single day passed without me watching videos of these boys. And I became much happier. I learned a lot from them; the message they want to give out through their songs. I totally appreciate their friendship and how they started as a group.
I also want to give a disclaimer- I LOVE ALL THEM 7 BOYS. But my ultimate bias is Suga. 'Cause how he thinks, his emotions and his love for his members is too deep. He is often called "Tsundere" which basically means like a cold person on the outside but very warm on the inside. I know you've been watching In the Soop season 1. And I'm hearing your comments that somehow you're slowly getting to know them just by seeing their natural side during their break. I just wanna share this video. This is the exact representation of Yoongi. His story. His struggles. Where all those beautiful yet heart- breaking lyrics are coming from. Like what I've said, he's very deep- a genius. Anyway.
