How cool! Love Rob's channel. Definitely a fave. I am so glad you got to go rockhounding with Rob. I cheered when you revealed he was your guest. Hope you get your 4 wheel drive. Maybe you can do some tours to help pay for it. Great story about the bear. Very happy to see a new post uploaded on your channel. 😊
Hey Rachelle, thank you for watching and continuing to leave awesome comments. I'm working on the vehicle situation but can't really do guided agate trips without a vehicle. But a couple suitable vehicles might be coming available. Hey would you mind sending me a Toyota land cruiser "troopy"? 😁 I know they are population down there...! They are my dream vehicle! In return, I will send you an agate!😁
Hi there, are you referring to John's first agate...? What those bumps were...that was the word I was looking for. Thank you so much! Thank you also for watching!👍
So cool to see Rob! He's so helpful for us rock hunters and tumblers and so helpful to new youtubers as well it seems! Glad i found your channel! Can never have enough agate videos to watch.
Thank you so much for finding our channel...Rob really is great at lending a helping hand...and also in my case...a trusty Jeep to help me get to the beach!😁
Wow my two favorite Rock Stars in one video! Robs channel was what got me collecting rocks and tumbling/polishing. He is very informative at teaching us newbies what we are looking at and how to polish them. Hope to run into both of you on a beach someday. Btw you fix that truck bud, she is worth it 😁
Hey, I finally got a chance to watch your video. I've been busy editing and recording more stuff. It was fun to see the day from your perspective. My video will be out next week. I have a rock that I found that day in the tumbler that I wanted to include in my video, but tumbling takes time.
Is the rock in the tumbler the one we couldn't decide if it was agate or jasper...the one with the unusual eyes or circles? I hope you had a good time despite the lack of you're lifetime biggest?
@@upperpeninsulabeautiful I had a great time. I don't need to find awesome agates to enjoy a day on the beach. I'm tumbling the one that looked like Mary Ellen jasper that I found at the end of our hunt. It was mostly red jasper with some swirls and circles and a few areas with white agate. I ground out the worst parts on my cab machine and then threw it into the vibratory tumbler. It will be done on Friday, but I have another video that I might put out first. I kind of want to publish both this week but I need to space them out so I don't run out of videos. It's difficult to put out one or two videos every week for years.
I wish i could be there with you guy`s, but i`m too far away, aarrggg! Your video`s give us a chance to learn how to hunt for nice rock`s, thank you very much!
You are so welcome! We are here to share our adventures with those that might not be able get to our pristine beaches and look for agates. Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment!😃
Rob sent me :) I have family in the Yoop and try to get there every summer. Love rockhounding Lake Superior and have had luck at McLain State Park. Love your sense of humor and look forward to more videos.
Hi Lisa, somehow I got mixed up on messages...lol...please forgive me😄 but thank you for finding us and for your nice comment! Where is McLain state park? How are the agates there? Where does your family live up here? Thank you so much for watching!
@@upperpeninsulabeautifulMy family is mostly in the Keweenaw area. McLain State Park is on Lake Superior in Hancock. There are lots of rocks there. I haven’t found an agate there, but I have found yooperlites…small ones since I visit in the summer. This probably also explains my agate-free experience :( I’ll have to visit in the spring some time soon when the rock picking is a bit better.
@@lisabraun8008 I have hunted the tip of the Keewenaw...I worked there as a kayak guide years ago...I used my kayak to troll for agates....great way to find them! Do you ever get to our Eastern Lake Superior beaches,? Less agates but more water washed for sure 😃
@@upperpeninsulabeautifulThe farthest east I’ve been is Marquette. Would love to hit Grand Marais. I’m in Oregon, so I don’t get up there as much as I’d like. That said, there’s great rock hounding all over Oregon, so I’m doing ok 😂
So happy you got to see the video and for continuing to leave friendly comments. I'm working on my transportation needs so I can get out and see film some more!
I really appreciate you joining our channel...sorry for the delay in the response... UA-cam wasn't giving me the translation option...I just saw they did so I'm responding....again...Thank you!
👍 awesome...Rob was great to hang out with for the day...he's been a big help in creating this channel! Before I ever started this channel, I had no clue about UA-cam...his was one of the first channels I watched. He offered some great advice...thank you for finding us!
The rocks do come and go...but it's been fairly good this season...the day of the video you watched was Oct 17th and they were good,! Thank you for watching!
I'm looking for a new...used vehicle to replace my broken dodge diesel...my dream vehicle is the new jeep truck. But I better get something soon so I can make another beach 🏖️ video!👍
I was wondering how the rocks were to the west...I normally go both directions but we had time constraints. Have you found some good ones there in the past?
Have you met Rob? Is he how you discovered agates? This fall should turn out some good agate hunting days...Monday should be awesome 👍. I'm currently trying to find a way there!😁
Hey, thank you for leaving a comment and for watching. My channel has been on a brief hiatus....first I got locked off when my phone broke. Now I am just waiting to make a new video. I'm hoping this coming Sunday I will get to the beach to make a long overdue video. Have a great week!
Hi there, thank you for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment! John 's agate did look like flames of a fire...that's exactly what I was thinking when he found it!👍
My system of hunting and finding agates for years was to walk fast and cover a lot of ground...but since I started a channel I do need to slow down at times to fill the rocks slower...but I always welcome advice! Thank you!

Bad news about the truck...the accident revealed the frame is shot...it would need a new frame to be safe. I'm looking for an alternative idea. My mechanic is giving me a couple bucks for the parts he can salvage....it's a sad day😥
Beautiful agate finds! Yep, Rob is really awesome! I learned a lot from that man! 😊
Thank you for watching and yes, that day had some nice agates. I'm very thankful for spending the day with Him!

Pretty sure Rob's UA-cam's success is do to his juggling and unicycling skills.

Botryoidal agate.
rob...hunt in the dry....it's why he finding them. when you hunt 90% of the time you hunt in the water & they are washed away
Yes...you're right! The water is my favorite place to hunt on a calm day...but after many days of winds, the dry rocks can be a worthwhile pursuit.
