Good info on crown gear. Nice results from these projects. A lot of modifying but that's what make this hobby fun.

Hey Jeff, cool stuff as always ! I am getting relaxed and ready to start painting the detail on the little Ford wagon you sent me. Wish me luck brother.
A great alternative to using valuable Slim Line chassis on custom projects is to use the little Jag DK-4 chassis. The second generation DK-4"s are fitted with a small diode that allows you to run them using standard AFX/Tyco controllers. As you know, the first gen DK's were either all the way on or all the way off, no low speed control without an electronic controller to dial the sensitivity down. The second gen DK is now the perfect chassis for customs. Very small in size, great tires and wheels (the chrome won't even come off with oven cleaner), screw on body mounting and inexpensive to boot ! They sell for 20 bucks plus shipping. Save all your good T-Jet and Slim line chassis for the real thing.
As you can tell, I really think a lot of not only these little chassis but Jag as a company. I use tons of their stuff not just because they make great, high quality products, but because Jag is solid, honest outfit.
    We will talk soon Jeff.
