- Ice Pilots School is a quintet of Kuka robot arms at Legoland Billund. This attraction has five settings with Level 1 being the tamest and Level 5 being the wildest. Riders can program how wild they would like their experience to be by selecting the maneuvers they would like to perform. This ride was closed for 2020 and 2021, but it reopened for 2022. Find out why it may be the best Legoland ride!

I remember seeing Knights' Tournament when it was still at Legoland California on my lone visit in 2012. Although I was scared to go upside down at the time, I still wish I could've rode it.
I'm glad I got on that one shortly before it closed.
Level 5 with funny twists and turns is amazing. I've only tried the ride once and I screamed all the time. I can highly recommend it for thrill seekers.
I love the intensity.
Looks crazy!
On Level 5 it is.
The sad thing about this ride is that when it received a remodel they removed 5 of the 10 robot arms.
This would cause massive wait times on busy days up to 1 - 2 hours.
The other end of the building where the other robots were was made into a showcase for massive Lego models. (It was used for a Lego star wars model) not sure about the size but guessing 15 x 10 meters.
The area is now covered up and has not been used for quite some time.
I didn't realize they cut the already bad capacity in half.
Oh yeah. I remember riding something like this at the Legoland in Germany. It was themed to Bionicle, which my older brother and I were into at the time. We mostly did the level 2 stuff as I think we were too small for anything else.
It's nice how the ride can be adapted.
My former home park, Futuroscope in France, has a set of those but it's accompanied with electronic music and some lights like a dance club. It's one of my favorite rides ever
Very cool!
I believe that this is the same ride type as the former Sum of all Thrills at Innoventions in Epcot. I loved that ride. I would pick all inversions and make the ride as crazy as possible lol. The capacity was horrid at Epcot though. I can see why they removed it. Having a pre-show, a pick your own experience section, and the fact that each cycle is the same as this ride really was a death sentence at a Disney world park. It was an amazing ride though. Having a screen in front of your face showing a virtual roller coaster while the arm moves chaotically was an experience like no other.
I remember Sum of all Thrills. Had to rope drop that one to do it.
@@CanobieCoaster absolutely! Innoventions was such a cool place to go in Epcot. I also loved the great piggy bank adventure lol. Not sure what replaced it, but Innoventions is sorely missed.
Ahhh yes, this one. I remember riding it the year it first opened. I believe it was one of the first of its kind. And yes, like somebody else in the comments said, it did use to have 5 more arms. The day I tried it, I tried it twice and it was on a school trip. I remember it vividly, partially because I was paired up with this girl who a former classmate that I used to have the hugest crush on. Our first go, she just picked everything for us at complete random... and midway through I swore I was gonna end her. The second time, I was the one that picked. Again, I just pressed them at complete random. This time I swore I was gonna end me. But all in all, that day was a total blast.
Must have been nice with the extra capacity!
What an insanely interesting and unique concept, but I absolutely love the fact you can choose your speed and intensity.
Me too.
This would fit great Fun Spot Atlanta
Yes
If you ever ride this again, ask the staff for "the nutcracker", which is a combination on level 5 of the most intense moves, basically level 6. It literally gives you more time out of your seat than in it, just straight hangtime the entire way through.
Wow!
These rides are so cool to me.
Same
When I saw these I thought they'd do them as a separate paid attraction. Even with that, it's a very low through put & could NOT off set maintenance. But, Yeah! It's a really cool attraction. A dozen of these w/ 4 passengers MIGHT work. Cabonbie's Christmas WISH. It will take a pretty big stocking to "stuff" that ride in there.
Epcot used to have one that wasn't an upcharge either.
Damn I only had to wait like 5 Minutes per Ride
Lucky!
Can you ride this without doing inversions?
Not a fan of flats that's why I am asking :P
Yes, on the low settings.
