Very useful. Called them today for rebuilt motor prices and they were very helpful. Subscribed.

What that looks like to be is someone grabbed a U-Pull-It special off the yard and made up some numbers then posted for sale as a 70k engine

I’ve bought more than 5 engines from them so far , never had any problems and oil consumption there’s none . All mine JDM engines have a brown injectors color and not blue as I saw in your engine.

I have bought around 10 of them and one that they sent me looked bad so I called them and they replaced it with no issues! I think they are great!!!

My 2011 has a bad battery and ive found it a bit low on coolant. Idk if it's worth replacing the battery if i have a bad head gasket. Is there an easy way to see if the headgasket is bad? Its not running any codes for that, just the battery.

Did you call them? I have bought several and I bore scope every one of them and have never had an issue. I did get one that was dirty looking and they sent me another with no Issue. The engine you have appears to be from the United States because the ones from japan have a smaller hose on the evap and the one you have has the larger hose. Definitely a U.S. engine.

Wait...hold up. So this is literally the same bottom block as the 2zr-fe...right? Im asking bc from the very very very little information on the interwebs... supposedly the only conclusion that i could come up with is that these cyl can not only be NOT be honed...but then as well not be bored. Buuut for some weird reason while looking to upgrade my 2zr platform inside my Scion xD...there seems to be bigger bore performance pistons and not just one MM but two separate size bore pistons available for this block...if ANYONE would know it would be you my brother in oil covered greatness? Ring seem to be a little seized and have scored slightly my cylinder walls... Can I rehome them in rering them??? Or would I have to go up a size in bore? Thanks love your channel you help me learn how to change a freaking head gasket which would have cost $4,000 and instead cost me 280 in parts and two days of work. ❤❤❤

They can be honed. But not bored

@@gasketmasters okay thanks so much! I wish there was a way I could send you a picture on here of the status my cylinder walls looked when I took the head off to change the head gasket... I can rub my fingers on it and it's very smooth and my fingernail doesn't catch anything really.. it's a great engine I'm getting the best gas mileage I've already put a turbo kit on it and got a good tune but pretty sure the rings are seized or are starting to I do have a compression of 160 on all cyl but that's very low on the spectrum and I think it's the rings not sealing... It's crazy though they really do have bigger pistons for this block because it's the lotus engine

I think the ball hones do a better job... however this is a toyota cylinder... likely not much ring wear
