i will be looking at these for my DC layout. Thanks
Any idea where to get Train Tech in the US? I would like to try out some of their products.
Hi, unfortunately we do not have any stockists in the US but most UK based Train-Tech stockists would ship to the US.
Absolutely brilliant they're so simple to use thanks again for a fantastic recording
Looks like they would fit EM and P4.
PS We use yellow not amber
Fantastic idea thanks Jenny for showing us all. Them is a good product.
I got a set of those when they were first released, about two years ago - but never got around to using them, as I decided to re-do the trackwork - which remains incomplete!
Any idea if they are coming out with N Gauge signals? I want!!
Hi, if you are wanting them from N gauge then you can use the Gaugemaster N gauge range of signals along with our SC100 signal controller.
TT 120 would be fantastic. Great video as usual Jenny
Signalling is a complex topic and you have covered it well. I picked up a feather signal to play with which works really well, but I think the block example is really what I need most. Thanks Jenny
Very interesting video Jenny Thankyou for that. It’s nice to have a decent alternative for working signals that look the part other than Dapols range
these are great I use them, build quality isn't good. I've one that fell apart, never to work again. another that works randomly. shame, because they are good
Hello Jennifer, I see at 0.56 of your latest video, something about SIGNALS/INDCATORs, I am wonder the size of the these that show NUMBERS, it looks to me that it is 5 across and 5 down, any more information on these would be greatful
Looks easy to use. Tried to say hello at Doncaster. Will you be at Glasgow.
Train tech were very good with tech help when they were Train tech but now they sold out to Gaugemaster I hope that is maintained. Train tech say in the manual that the signals will not connect with PECO track as just a push fit. (Loose fit) Which explains why solder was used in this video. However I notice some PECO set track has extra extra webbing and that will work as it gives a nice tight fit although that limits placement. Also not mentioned here you can cut off the track connectors if you wish if say using acc bus. Though I found just sliding the two prongs underneath the plastic base of the track will hold the signal in place without the need to mess about with glue and can easily moved if needed.
Amazing.! Great product and presentation. Thanks very much, Charlie W
Have a number of them on my layout. Very hypnotic to watch. Gives more realism to the model scene
Hi Jenny. Although you never hear me comment, I do watch all your videos, and this one, I had to comment. I've looked at so many videos about signals as I do eventually want them. I've never been convinced on any of them until now. This is perfect! Also before I go, I want to say that I've always loved your reviews as you look at the achievements of the manufacturer, rather than all the negatives. Great work Jenny. Take care and hopefully speak again soon. Best regards. Lee

Jenny Hi:
I have followed the instructions for wiring the feedback modules(track occupancy= one rail sections with plastic rail joiners) for “SIMPLE" straight track but the instructions do not mention feedback wiring for points/turnouts and cross overs and double slips?
I understand each block has a min of three contacts(sections) being start, travel and slow to stop at the signal.....so that is easy to follow re plastic rail joiners and wiring.
However very often there is a multitude of points, cross overs and double slips coming out of the station? I am not able to understand where the plastic rail joiners go……
I have not been able to see any examples of DCC blocks with points/turnouts or crossovers or double slips???
Do I isolate each point and crossover and double slip? I suspect the points have a plastic rail joiners on three positions for insulfrog and five positions on electrfrog points to totally make the point in a block in its own right, i.e. give the point its own power droppers?
Any advice would be appreciated.
regards
Scott
Brilliant video
Hi. Have you any experience in using the DS signals from Train Tech in conjunction with iTrain/JMRI etc? As they have their own individual built-in decoder can they just be slid into the track and use dcc bus power or do they require a separate accessory bus? Must they be wire linked to operate in series or will the automated system take care of sequential aspects?
I love this video Jenny - one question though, do you think it would fit well on a mid 80s based layout? I know there were still majority semaphores in those days but I will stand corrected if I am wrong and there were many electric light signals like these as well
Jenny Hi: I am new to this channel and think it is very helpful. I need some helpful advice please re the block system. I have almost completed my track and will install the block system. I understand each block has a min of three contacts(sections) being start, travel and slow to stop at the signal.....so that is easy to follow re plastic rail joiners and wiring. However I really need some helpful advice on the multitude of points, cross overs and double slips coming out of the station? I am not able to understand where the plastic rail joiners go......Do I isolate each point and crossover and double slip? I can send a picture of the track. Any help would be great.
Many thanks
Scott
Can anyone explain to me what I’m doing wrong? I’ve bought four Train Tech signals, and have slotted them onto my Peco track. I’m running a DCC system via a Gaugemaster Prodigy . When I turn on the power I get four green lights on the signals. However when I run my finger over the sensor, it remains green? I have also run a wagon over the signal, and it still remains Green. This has happened to all my four signals, on separate loops . Many thanks Rob
Hi great idea been looking for something like these. Followed the link but could not find them . Are these not available at present or can you still get them. Thanks for your videos which are very helpful. Thank in advance in your assistance so as I can locate these.
To my amazement, I am giddy at the enthusiasm you have for model railroading. You are the first woman I know of in this hobby. THANK YOU! ... Might I add: your layout is exuberantly MAGNIFICENT!! I find this video to be very enlightening indeed!
Very good video thank you for the information and how easy there are to fit hope there come out in n gauge soon👍
I approve of signalling.
Nice signals I like them very much. Where can I buy them in the USA ?
I bought one of these. Fitted it to track got a green light but it wouldn't change when a wagon passed. Returned
wish they would make these for US types now these are plug-n-play
They are brilliant but at £45 a piece they are too expensive for me 🙁
Great video. Thank you.
can you get them for TT120
Do you use cork under the track?
How would you combine this with ABC so trains actually respect the signals and stop?
@@andrewbergman9315 with the DCCconcepts modules they can be turned on and off by switches on the points. That means if the signals are interlocked to change with the points then an ABC section will only be active if a signal is on red.
Nice 👌
Thank you Jenny
So I’m brand new to the channel and back into modelling after 45+ years. So my query is this: it looks as though DC will be my control of choice and I really like the train tech signals. As is the case on the mainline, is it possible to daisy chain a mix of various aspects (such as a single 3-aspect in a run of 4x 4-aspect signals)? Great channel by the way.
Great video.
Great Video, just came across these signals myself, your video does a wonderful job of explaining everything and how to program to accessory on dcc. Really enjoy watching your vids, keep up the great work!
Hi Jenny Yes, these signals are a great easy to use item, although I would like some in N gauge but having seen a message below I might well try some. Thanks
I got a set of four 4-aspect units (SSP1), and an MS1 + RL1 for each to allow ABC control over four districts. Also MS1 allows manual switching as well. Next purchase is four more to allow control of a loft sized install.
Excellent video again. I suddenly realized I have a question. I saw you show a way to allocate a DCC accessory address to the signal and that these signals used to power and connection to the track. Is there a way to get point motors to use the same arrangement? I have not yet started into DCC but from what I have seen you need to have a lot of wiring and electronics to control points, like turtle points. Thanks
I have several of these signals on my layout. Watching your video has explained what happen when you daisy chain them better . Now I need to get some to daisy chain them .
Brilliant video Jennifer, looks like a game changer product, I will certainly buy some.
Would you have enough distance between signals to allow your longest train or does it not matter
Great video Jenny explaining how the signals work and how to fit them into the track
Oh I need to get my head around how to work the feather signal.
I wonder how well they incorporate into JMRI?
pretty cool item. I wonder if they have them in n scale
What about 009
dcc
Amber AMBER what is an AMBER signal, I have been a train driver for years and have NEVER seen an amber signal, I have seen thousands of YELLOW signals though, oh did I mention they are yellow signals not amber! ;-)
