November 2022 update here, for anyone wondering. I took the test and there was no short answer responses just like this video said. Even though the Kaplan 2022 prep book included it.
The comments say that some of the GED test prep books still include short answer writing questions. And my book 2021 does too. I was totally in a panic about it, but I don't have to now. Thank you so much!

@@figtreegenerationz9112 I took the math test and passed, I'm thinking of taking the science test next but I'm not sure if there will be any short writing answer question in the test, I hope not because I'm not prepared for that.
@@Mrrobot951 Congratulations ! You passed the math, the rest should be easy. People here who passed the science said no short answer,even though the book showed the short answer maybe the book not updated
@@krystobee4454 The only writing you'll do is the short essay nothing more. Also, I got pretty much zero on the short essay and still passed. The ged isn't that hard, good luck.

No essay on science or social studies. You'll have one essay at the end of the test very easy to write, and if you get zero on the essay you still pass as long as you get enough points on the multiple-choice questions. Just try not to be too nervous, and have a good night sleep, you'll do fine. Good luck.
Wow... My Kaplan Test Prep Plus (2019) had me practicing and stressing for these short responses. Thank you for the info!

I passed my all my GED test and it is true. There's no any writing section on the science test

I'm currently studying for my Ged, I feel a lot better knowing that I won't have to study for the science response.

What can I read or do to prepare my ged science exam
It is September 2022 and I want to know if this is still fact or if the written 'essay' form for the GED science test has been reinstated; (?).
As of right now, the essay has not been reinstated on the science section
Is this true even for the texas ged science?
