- This video shows the process of how I polish rocks with a Dremel. Marble is a metamorphic rock composed of calcite. Because calcite is a 3 on the Mohs hardness scale, marble is also a 3. It's a very soft rock so shaping and polishing with a Dremel is very easy.

I do not recommend leather gloves because they are bulky and that makes it hard to hold on to smaller pieces. I have since switched to these nitrile gloves:

This looks like a great way to polish smaller rocks. This method sure helps with control. Thanks
Thank you 💜
Awesome!! Where do you buy those sanding disks?

That looks like a dry grind. I thought when grinding they suppose to be wet?
Yes, wet is way better! I just didn't have a water drip system when I polished this piece.
And now I know why I can’t get mine to shine like that I didn’t even know they had grit that fine I was using that weird clay compound and the cotton buffer that came in the kit
yeah! I also apply mineral oil to the stone after polishing. just a few drops rubbed in with denim fabric and let it sit for one day before touching.
I’m still new I need to learn a lot more I guess, ininly been at it for like a few weeks
I've been doing this for about 2 years now I think and I'm still learning all the time! feel free to ask any questions if i can help i will 😁
Hey That’s so cool indeed
