  • Here’s a short video from Saturday after I got the dump truck back. I’ll have to make a video showing the controller I wanted to put it on a different controller with more physical switches (Taranis X20) because it’s using 15 channels and the QX7 is limited but I couldn’t get it to bind to the receiver so I just used a QX7 I had on hand. I made 2 lift axles work on one switch and the 3rd on it’s own switch because I needed a switch to tri-rate the end points on the throttle. It’s a single speed and it’s insanely fast so I simulate a 3 speed transmission using a 3 position switch and 3 different end points. If it wasn’t for that the QX7 would have worked.

Thanks Josh! Wish I was a master builder like you and Pablo but I do what I gotta do to have cool “toys” to play with. Wish I could make Indy but it’s not looking good 🫤

THANKS yes this is at Ken’s in Pennsylvania. I just got it in January I had it sent to a friends house he lives 20 minutes from Cabin Fever he brought it to me the next day. I ran it at and show then Smallhaul took it home to finish thing build with lights and sound I also had him put 3 servos in to lift each axle independent. The tailgate is automatic a trigger hits the frame near the rear mine works really well the original builder is making himself one he said his didn’t latch well.

That is one sweet truck Frank! I'd love to have one of those 988K's someday. Is the physical size of the 988K any bigger than the K870 or WA470's? To look at them on the internet they just do not seem that big. Because I can fill my grand hauler dump box with 3 full scoops on my Case 921E that I built which is very similar to the WA470's.

Thanks Dennis! they are definitely the same category and the weight is the same about 45 pounds the 988K just has insane details it’s a scaled down version of the real thing. They may be off slightly on a couple things like tire size because they used the JD MODELS tires used on the 870K so the tread pattern isn’t right and the diameter could be slightly larger but not much it’s really close. the placement of the rear axle and the length of the rear end isn’t perfect looking at pics of the model vs a 1:1 with a side shot but that’s being super picky. Most people think it doesn’t look right because they don’t know what a 1:1 988K looks like. They are much different looking than other loaders they have incredible reach. The 988K is all about the details even has the split ring lock on the wheels it’s the most detailed all metal one I’ve seen.
