Thank you for this video! I just got a Singer 237. She is in great condition, minimal cleaning was needed, though I did oil her well. I have a question though. In the Singer 237 manual, it doesn't say anything about greasing the motor. Most Singer models require motor grease, but I can't find any information about the 237. Do you have any advice about this?
All motors rarely need oiling . People tend to over do it resulting brushes and armature not having clean surfaces to operate on . If you feel you must one very small drop of machine oil on the shaft belt /pulley side and let it work its way in while running , from the outside . Try to keep the brush side of motor armature free of any oil .
