  • Can a single word enlighten you. No, not really. Enlightenment is more of a recognition than an achievement. However, a single word can help you stay alert and on the lookout for the primary trigger that keeps you stressed out, dumbed down, and trapped in the suffering of the unenlightened mind.

Hey, I am an autistic magician. Magic has been an extremely effective tool in empowering me in so many ways
Mainly making good use of the ammount of time I spend alone, it’s given me an effective tool set for deciding how to engage with my nervous system and how to even feel like I have so much more control over it.
I found your channel recently and it has given me a really grounded perspective on so many of my practices.
But today, the synchronicities that ended with me finding this video went as such
    1) decided that I don’t want to feel so “disabled” by my autism, but not knowing exactly how I (other than being intoxicated to numb myself) I used to mask around people, albeit I wasn’t a very effective person but I showed up and I feel that stopped when I went into burnout. So I was asking myself, “what is the hang up I need to adapt”
    2) I rapid succession of encumbering events in my morning, one thing after another and an unusual ammount of them
    3) when I needed to put my headphones on to calm myself
This video came up randomly and I picked it.
    The thing is
My Autism is in being a state of persistent anxiety, which has led to an affronted lens I view my life.
And that my burnout is an intolerance for that affrontedness
I hope you see how this video may have been teed up to or by my HGA.
I think it’s going to have a dramatic and lasting effect on me achieving my goals in life.
    I thank you endlessly

You might want to look into the role that carbohydrates have on brain function and our apparent overexcitability.
Check out the video on "Staying Motivated in the Great Work," and note how the stress response is portrayed there. In most cases, constant anxiety simply results from slavish devotion to the FOMO instinct and the gossip instinct.
When I work with people who are labeled as autistic or "on the spectrum," there do seem to be some common symptoms that such people experience. However, it might be worthwhile to question the diagnosis. How has the practice of diagnosing "autism" arisen? What is the reason why we label people as "autistic"? To help them? Perhaps. To suppress their apparent symptoms? More likely. To sell them expensive medications? Likely. To explore the (apparent) causes of the (apparent) condition? Doubtful.
Am I advocating that you ignore doctors? Of course not. But we should question their authority. The medical profession is slightly plagued corruption, is it not?

@@lyamchristopher2393 your questions about autism are valid. I’ve tried my damndest to reject the diagnosis, but I don’t take medication. I basically use it as a guide for seeing myself coming, the triangle of art if you will, but it does help me in structuring and compartmentalizing my goals and my days around the needs of my nervous system. Also informs me of the things I need to balance, (LRP,LRH, Shadow work via jungian journaling etc.)
I will say tho, I don’t exactly like the label.
I’m in a weird position with mine that I don’t “look” or present as autistic until my nervous system quits and I turn into something unrecognizable from the usual mask of my ego.

What an incredible happiness that the vast majority of the unconscious is and always will be... UNCONSCIOUS, thanks to which the mass of these impulses and projections will never be controlled. Thanks to this, the world is and will always be a colorful place full of surprises, not a pipe dream in which we can control our unconscious impulses. ;)

This reminds me of a dream that I had once. I feel like it encapsulates this lesson so beautifully. I was standing in the middle of some desert plains and I looked up and locked eyes with a lion. I immediately started to feel intense fear and began trying to plan what I should do next. The feeling was very rigid and forced. I looked on the ground and found a good sized stick, about the size of a sturdy walking stick. When I picked it up, I instantly felt more confident, but returning my gaze to the lion, I knew my chances for survival were slim. I mentally prepared myself, accepting, the best I could, that I might die.
As soon as I felt as ready as I could be, two more lions emerged to the left and right of the first lion. I knew that I was done. Death was imminent. I sort of just gave up mentally and emotionally.
I had an urge to look over my right shoulder and you (Lyam) were standing there. You had a pleasant smile on your face, and I was bewildered by it. “What the hell could he be smiling at right now!?” I thought. From behind your back you pulled out a red ball and you rolled it across the desert floor and the lions started playing with it. They just looked like really big house cats and the fear completely dissolved. I looked at you and we locked eyes and just started laughing. I felt completely restored and then I woke up. I instantly understood the lesson and it is one of my all time favorite dreams. ❤

What you might notice is that science is itself conditioned by the stress response. It oversimplifies and dismisses just about everything. The fear that drives science is mostly obsessed with predicting and controlling. (Though the scientist often pretends that his motives are purely about trying understand things. Haha.)

And I’ve met magicians who seem to constantly be in fight/flight, so it’s hard to tell what exactly, if anything, magick does to the stress response, other than presenting many opportunities to respond to potentially stressful situations in a calmer way 🤔

Another masterful work from you. It sparked in me an event which happened in 2006 in a little town near Birmingham UK. I was at a cash machine at the local closed bank drawing out the equivalent of about $30 when an Asian man confronted me with a knife demanding the equivalent of about $600 or he would stab me. I was truly affronted and a string of alternative actions quickly flashed through my mind. There was no time for fear and having undertaken jiu jitsu training I adopted a fight mode by following the Golden rules of 1) never taking your eyes off the knife 2) try to look at the opponents eyes to gauge his next move 3) look for an opening.to attack. He was faster and younger but left a gap when he turned to take my debit card coming out of the machine. I was round to the back of him holding his wrist to prevent being knifed. The one move I had was centred on his eyes and made him cry out. At this point I couldn't increase the pressure which may well have blinded him and an over -riding spirit overtook me. I let him go and he ran off with my debit card. Affronted I ran after him and as I caught up with him I broke the self defence protocol of not being angry. As he turned to face me I took my eyes off his knife and went for an angry knock out punch. He ducked, smirked, and stabbed me in the thigh and ran away leaving me bleeding and incapacitated. I found out some several years later by some military contacts he had been captured at Baghuz, Syria fighting for Islamic State (IS) His captors were and still are the Syrian Democratic Force ( trained and supplied by the CIA). I could say a lot more and if my Specialist Doctor is correct about having approximately 2 years left to live I would say more, a lot more for the safety of 'unawakened' civilians. The state of being "awakened" could then be summarized as being permanentely freed from dumbing down stress responses to affrontedness - which can be akin to a state of "sleep" in its "unawareness" or "unconscious" meaning. I hear this brain-shut and hypnosis/awareness narrowing effect is usually called "being like a deer in the headlights" (in French it's "like a rabbit in..."). You probably know that ancient Greeks called that enlightened state "ataraxia" (absence of troubles / disturbances). A beautiful pictorial illustration of this is Da Vinci's Last Supper which depicts the aftermath of Jesus' prophecy of Judas' betrayal ("he can predict your next move easily " 49:40). The fact that this painting has recently been the center of a worldwide satanic panic is kind of ironic.

@@lyamchristopher2393 It doesn't feel like its been 3 days since this lol. I wanted to clarify that when I said "I had to rewatch some parts a few times until the meaning of Affrontedness clicked with me" I meant that as a good thing, as in "there was so much depth of information that I had to really maintain focus and go over the video multiple times to get the 'full' meaning from what you're saying." The way I put it seems like it could easily be mistaken as me saying the video was unclear. Your videos are exceptional treasures of wisdom for me, thank you for all that you do. Thank you.

What's the word on the street (as the saying goes)? It would be a cool mnemonic self-hypnosis of sorts! To be offended? Oh, just as you said this! Great War style! That's terrifying! Give me WWII any day!* (*nowhere near qualified to say so) I often think some of the problems "facing" us come from unexpected sides. In dreams, we work through without having our logical frontal minds to try and problem solve with logic so much. Dreams don't usually assault, they're a boon of processing that's often essential to our psyche, in general! I really recoil at the framing of outside as demons and inside as love and light. Sure, there's an armoring aspect but also a blending knowing of blending into attacks and so forth in martial arts paradigms. The notion of everything outside of a circle as demons is too much like the often American Christianized politicized intent ignorance of everything "other" including other religions and denominations and cultures as "deMoNs" and magick as "eViL" and demonizing innate human nature as outside Demons tempting our perfect selves. The demons of lust and greed tempting Man. The devil might contend, I didn't make you do it, even if I simply presented you with it and tilted you. Devil made me do it. And the further demonization of everything "other" including sexual orientation and so forth....lots to rant and chew on.
Man, I think, there's gotta be an element of fun, even warped, to anything worth doing. Like the soldierly adage of "embrace the suck" and the fun of "blowing shit up" being one of the small appeals besides the lofty presentable honorable goals of serving one's country or even being an adept warfighter. The accessible appeals of "blowing stuff up" I still maintain as an admittedly cool draw. Even the cliche of wanting to be an actor to "meet women" even if that actor is a bonafide sincere practitioner of his craft. I recoil at the affrontedness of making my magick my psychological therapy "shadow work" session so forth that even Regardie admonished to do that work prior. Just seems not fun to make that THE thing. It's gotta fun in its way. Like the seriousness and gravity of emergency work has got to have its intrinsic thrill aspect. Otherwise, it's shoveling manure all day without a clean stable to show for it. The suffering is not the draw. It's the willingness to go through it for the greater cause even if that cause is quixotic like say, hey I have this notion of actually evoking in my space and plane my Guardian Angel. Or the appeal of film acting even when a day consists of boring take after take and tons of waiting. We all need our carrot 🥕 cake to eat it too. The freedom to define for ourselves our happiness even when we need to do the work. The ability to laugh in our foxhole and not treat it so severely. Lightheartedness doesn't diminish the value of the work. It shouldn't take itself too seriously. We need the Jung to the Freud or it becomes unbalanced, no? Allow ourselves the respite from the ego...

@lyamchristopher2393 ideas: Ego, attachments, abandonment, anxieties, being, just being, the idea in magic(k) of justified/justification, but also the skewed perspective of having to justify one's being, an imbalanced view of proving oneself, stuff that comes up. See, I didn't even have or need to have the LBRP to "blame" or "credit" for stuff coming up, nor even the movement of the planets since I tend to be ahead of the curve. So this "stuff" comes up on its own, notwithstanding key factors of life experience. So when comments or discussions vaguely go on about stuff coming up when doing the LBRP, I can shrug my shoulder and not give it too much credit or blame. It ain't all that, so carry on with it and do it, with one's intrinsic interest on par with why even do theoretical quantum mechanics. It's not like the film paradigm of the ostensibly successful guy who's got it all, and suddenly, life is upended by something but the arc I'd that it's best for his personal growth so forth. So I don't think it's that. I mean, people ought to be more specific and personal rather than throw around cautionary generalizations and buzzwords to dissuade others or give themselves a pat on the back. Like c'mon. Making it more than it needs to be just because it's a practice that requires commitment, and you don't know exactly what comes out of it in impacting your life. So only western magicians of the GD tradition style get to go on this specific journey of the unraveling, stuff coming up, and ego addressing. Sure.

I like ur videos but I feel like ur playing it really safe with ur explanations in this one. Snakes and horns are real esoteric things. Naga/mermaid & (aether)horns are representative of the anima. The light bringer. The feminine energy of illuminating the dark night of the soul

    • @lyamchristopher2393
      @lyamchristopher2393  18 днів тому +3

I have just just revealed that esoteric meaning (the inner meaning of snakes and horns) instead of the opaque outer interpretation of the anima (as a glowing Isis-like figure). The anima is both light and dark. Isis and Nephthys. And the dark is full of monsters. Or at least to our stress response it is. 😏 And remember that a glowing, angelic figure of light (that has come to rescue us) comes prepackaged with the troubling scenarios that she rescues us from.
This need not be a let down--because freedom from fear and desire involves entering a magical landscape in which all objects are no longer tainted by fear/desire interpretations. What does the world look like beyond these things? Now THERE is the esoteric mystery.

ChatGPT says ""Afrontedness" is not a standard word in the English language. The correct word to describe the feeling of being insulted or offended is "affronted." While "affrontedness" might be understood in context as the state of feeling affronted, it isn’t recognized as a formal word. "Affront" and "affronted" are the appropriate terms to use.' 4:00 You can't make a whole video on a single word and then say "Whatever that means". Offended would be synonymous.

    • @lyamchristopher2393
      @lyamchristopher2393  18 днів тому +3

I can do whatever I want. And so can you. 😏 But seriously, you might want to consider that "affrontedness" is the noun form, and it is therefore much easier to objectify than "affronted." And the noun form "affront" does not address the emotional tone that arises when one is affronted. (Have I just stepped into an argument? Uh-oh... 😂)
You bring up an interesting point. When is it appropriate to "break the rules" and make up our own words of power? We could say it's not really appropriate for us to do that until we've reached the inner order (and Hermes laughs). It's that old principle of "Learn the rules so that you can develop the ability to break them more effectively."
