If we dont talk about how bad it is and mock it then they win. The more people express how they feal about this crap the more they get pissed and continue to double down. Win win. The more they go in this direction? The more they lose.
I think the bigger question is how can they afford to hate their audience and produce such lousy product? I wish someone would do a deep dive into how these shows are financed. My guess it's a combination of money laundering and government tax breaks for certain messages and quotas.

Will, Yes read a Michael Crichton book. He wrote women characters really well -they are more real than stereotypes. All his characters are great. Adventure, science, and mysteries were always involved. I wish he was still alive.

Ever Since We Were All Sequestered At Home Everyone Thinks They Can Make Movies.
Even Lifetime's Level Of Direction and Production Quality Is Sorely Lacking. I Watched One Last Night From 2022 and the Storyline Was Sketchy at Best...With Big Gaps in the Details That Would Have Explained Things Much Better.
I'm Pretty Aware of Inconsistencies Anyway.. But Lately They Are Glaringly Evident. At Minimum the Editors Should Have Caught The Errors in Staging and Logical Flow of The Storyline.

Considering the next big thing being game-adaptations and how to crack it…you have to stay very faithful to the sourcematerial and especially the design (costumes, props, body types) and tell the story of the game in a way so you as a fan recognize the key parts….then you have a success on your hands

Sure do not like Will's opening and break music. I can't make it through a Will Cain podcast - it's like spending your valued extra time with 'the guys" who take their shoes off, and talk about sports, sports, sports ... I tried it today, and can say, I won't be back. It's a "guy show."
The Drinker says that they've tried to solve what they perceive as being a problem, whereas I would assert that they didn't have any problems to begin with. These franchises were wildly popular across a broad demographic spectrum, and all they've really done is alienate well over half of their existing audience. None of what they have done has moved the needle in a positive direction. Instead they somehow managed to lose vast amounts of money in every conceivable way; from the box office, to merchandise sales, advertising revenue, theme park attendance, and stock value.

I wish Gary and Drinker would be recommending amongst new shows also an old show or movie that aged well, eg Deadwood. Some part of the audience might not be old enough to already know shows like this.
It seems to me that video games and movies are two completely different things, I don't really see how one translates to the other. What movies need are better writers and non-ideological film makers.

All actors want to be in blockbuster movies to be famous so they should be just as upset .
