Definitely my favorite from the new EP.
They really often get a bit more experimental and outside their "norm" on their EPs, so some of my all time favorites are on them. Like Above the black sea, Paranoia or Spellbound and a few more.

This one was also my favorite of the new EP, I'm glad they're giving Fami a spotlight. It's a very eerie, very mature composition.
They have songs for everybody... the fun ones, the serious ones. You'll never get tired of them because they're so eclectic, even within the realms of Metal.
I might be cheesy saying this but I miss a big power ballad like Epilogue. For keeping my tear ducts functional, of course😅

I like all 3 studio audio songs on this EP more than the 2 two that they did a music video for. I hope eventually we will see all 3 performed live.

It’s my favourite on the EP too, and it’s the LOVEBITES song I’ve been waiting for since Fami joined. This is unmistakably LOVEBITES 2.0 …yet it’s totally unlike anything before it. Metallica, Sabbath, AC/DC…all 3 have a reference point in this song. For me the continuation of the bell behind the opening melody is sublime.

The Bell in the Jail stands out the most to me. It has better songwriting with a nice mix of different elements to it. Includes a more meaningful bass by a better implementation/balance of the instrumentals (they’re not stepping all over Fami; they’re giving her breathing room), which is a better example of the band working together as an entire unit, compared to just squeezing Fami in with a bass solo. It has a very soulful guitar solo that doesn’t feel robotic or predictable, and works to pull you deeper into the song, all while the song itself feels refreshingly different for Lovebites in general. My favorite song from the EP.

YES in their prime couldn't match the progressive style of this song----Fami is channeling Chris Squire, for sure. Probably not aware of it 😁 If you were a Yes follower, you're hearing Chris on this track all over the place.
I think you're right. Fami said on a Japanese radio show that she loves Chris Squire's bassline in YES's 'Roundabout
