Wow, that last agate is so three dimensional! Really cool! Thanks for showing us the results of these cuts.
Glad you liked it!
That was fun. I worked at a little shop called World of Gems in like 1977-78 in California during university. She sold rockhounding and gold panning supplies as well as a full compliment of jewelry making tools and supplies, especially precious metals and gemstones. We had saws in the back room. The biggie dwarfed the largest one you just showed. It was a beast to operate. We cut slabs, sold rocks, and did custom jewelry. I really enjoyed it. I still have all my stuff except the rock saws. So boxes of old 1970s stock. I don't know what to do with it.
Id be interested in the old 1970's stock. You can email me at rockhoundinglife@gmail.com
To quote Agate Dad, that 1970's agate is a "banger"! So beautiful ❤️😮
Very good explanations on the use of the different size saws. The cuts were great but you never know how it looks until you cut, cut, cut. Thanks for sharing!😊 😷⚒
Would love a slice of the 3rd Agate! GORGEOUS ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤ Love where it looks like clouds too❣️
Very informative ❤ Thanks for teaching us about the different types of saws and blades. Those agates were beautiful, even the “dud!” I’ll take all the duds😂 There is beauty in almost everything!❤
If that last agate was found in 1970 its my age lol. However, it has aged much better than me. It certainly is beautiful ❤️
Lol
Any type of handsaw you can cut rocks with?
I live in Kansas and find agates. Could I send one to you to cut? I know what I have is nothing in comparison but from what I understand it's all in the artist cutting them.
Yes. Send info and pics to rockhoundinglife@gmail.com
