G'day, Scott Mathews Channel on YT is uploading weekly as he builds a Camel (Lookalike) Replica featuring welded Steel-tube Fuselage & riveted Aluminium Tube Wings & Tailfeathers, with a Radial Engine. He's already built a Zenith 2-seat High-Wing STOL Recreational Aircraft..., and it's a lovely series he's making. "Sopwith Camel Build Project" is the name to look for, as a Video Title. Other than that, The Shuttleworth Collection is operating a Camel built in Kiwiland by Peter Jackson's pet subsidised Replica WW-1 Aeroplane Manufacturer, built to the original Plans, meeting the original Specifications, with an original Rotary Engine, original Guns, original Instruments...; basically a Factory Fresh Brand New Camel. I think the job involved building a Camel, a BE-2c, and an RE-8, all original EVERYTHING, For $1.5 million as a Triptych. The Shuttleworth Pilot's account of Test Flying the Reproduction Camel was published in Aeroplane magazine (UK), I read the Articles on the Camel & his Findings on flying it To Camera, in the Series of videos I posted in 2020, regarding Sopwith Camels. Backtrack me to my "Personal Aeroplanology..." Playlist to locate the Series. Enjoy... Have a good one, Stay safe. ;-p Ciao !
Good job, very informative and easy to follow. Thanks !

We have an original flying sopwith camel here in New Zealand
A triplane also presents a larger target to shoot at.
But most rounds to the wings will not knock out the plane. Its presenting a bigger target but thats deceptive.
The guns were .303 British caliber, not 7.7mm!
