What a fun video! Nothing like Lady Mary Beth to elevate a bins shopping trip. And I laughed out loud when she said, “Do not covet thy neighbor’s cart.” I have been only once to the bins in Florida, but found it to be an intimidating experience. I will stick to regular thrift stores for now.

I'm always a nervous wreck at the bins, so many people the rush it's so crazy... So I was excited to Lady Mary Beth at the bins 😊!!!
You went to one of the cleaner outlets! I am so glad to see you went there. You are absolutely right. The new bins are a challenge, but if you take your time you can find real bargains. I found a genuine Coach purse and a French branded carry on bag in good condition when I did some research both were resaleable for more than $50 each. Also, many other shoppers chat and help each other look. I know I have handed off items to people and have had items handed to me that were obviously something I was looking for. Another great item to look for is really old books. I have found beautifully illustrated books that were more than a hundred years old. They are great for decorating.
I've never been to the bins. And I don't think I'll ever go since I prefer a less frenzied, more leisurely shopping experience 😂 But it was great to get a first hand look in this video 🥂
WOW!.... I was really surprised to see our gracious Lady Marybeth at the Goodwill bins... love the items that she picked I hope that she did take some of these items- as always she is the LADY... and everything she does she does with grace and class... have to say I am so delighted to have found her channel and as a former personal shopper with Macy's in Herald Square in NYC and a vendor rep at Bloomingdales in NYC, I was also affiliated with Waterford and Wedgwood... I know that she is finding awesome items and the prices are really amazing..... I LOVE her!

I love going to the bins! The first time I went, I was a little apprehensive, but by the end I was hooked! You never know what you will find! So much fun!

We used to have church jumble sale's when l was younger, you could get a bag full of goodies for a few pence , happy days .
I would think one would definitely need to have patience and an open mind if they think about shopping the bins! BUT, you definitely found some worthwhile items! It’s like a game!! How fun! 🎉🎉🎉

Gosh, even your bins are clean, neat and well organized! And while you may think they're crazy, the shoppers there look pretty civilized as far as the outlets go! What struck me most was the condition of the goods. In the bins I've seen, either in person or in YT videos, much of the merchandise is damaged beyond usefulness and there's a lot of trash - literal trash, as if someone dumped a wastebasket or two in there for good measure. And people behave as if they're in a fight for their lives as they churn through the items and break them even more. It's horrific!
I'm beginning to believe it's true that everything's better in Texas! 😂 You found some really nice things for next to nothing! Loved everything you bought.

Our bins are way crazier..we do have same rules. Just herds of people rushing to new bins.I stay to the farthest corner😂

This was quite interesting. I remember years ago there were stores on Canal Street Manhattan that were just bins of things to sort through. One store was strictly for makeup. My friends and I went to that one often and would get makeup and eye liners and shadows from Italy and Germany. Fun video!
Not sure that they have these in the Northeast but I don’t think I’m up for the pressure anyway!

We have two area bin stores. One of them is very much like the one you were just in, The other is smaller and not so frenzied and it is where I recently found a wonderful genuine Michael kors backpack.

Wow! That was definitely different - I never heard of this shopping style. You did get some good finds especially the textiles. I have yet to go to any of our Houston bins but this definitely gave me an itch to go!
You have such “nice” bins near you, MB. We have only 2 bins locations in Michigan and are far away from where I live. Even our regular Goodwill stores are nothing to seek out - not close to home and certainly not worth the drive. I am glad I did check them out- but won’t be going back.

I love to thrift hunt and dig for treasures almost more than anything else, but this style of shopping is absolutely not appealing to me. I cannot handle the frenzy and rudeness scrounging in this type of scenario! So, I’m glad you are sharing this with us, as I know to avoid!

I’m just wondering when the Goodwill outlet a.k.a. the bins became the primary shopping destination because you said something about the books going to a secondary destination.
Unsold items from the bins are recycled and sold off to alternate sources. For example, textiles are used for industrial oil clean-up.
Be careful bugs can lay thier eggs in reefs and anything that can't be washed and soaked wouldn't that be nice

Did it once and never again! Despite wearing gloves, broken glass everywhere, people shoving and rude, crowded and dirty. Nope, not worth it. Besides worry about pet urine and bugs.

Sure, I’ll just go shopping for the napkin folding book or another for a trip to Germany. 🙄 How about relate the items to the average person. No one there except you is thinking they need a napkin folding book to use while on a trip to another county. Or anywhere really. And I would NEVER use these items, new or not, as an actual gift giving for someone. Maybe I’d ask if they want it and say where it’s from, but I wouldn’t use as a hostess gift or a present.
