I’m going to take a stab in the dark and say that the “Weird gold liquid” is Ichor. Matches the colour. Ichor was blood for the gods in Greek mythology. And there isn’t evidence to disprove the theory.
Nah. You need to remember that it’s glowing. Ink back in the 1920’s didn’t glow. That’s some magic crap causing that. My bet is that the glowing golden blood is Ichor. Yes. I did some research into it. It matches the description.

its 100% pretending, i mean lets be real here you really think "a box with some scribbled ink on it" will fool THE INK DEMON, no way in hell. it's all a game to the ink demon, its sport and when henry slips up its game OVER. he only saved him from the projector because henry IS HIS PREY and nobody elses. I mean lets be real here only three things can bring henry back from the dead and two of them are linked together "the ink machine and the ink demon" the 3rd is "us" bur we are non-canon here unlike in undertale or pokemon.
