This song was composed by Igor Krutoy and initially written by Lara in French with the title Je T'Aime Encore.
Then it was translated in Russian for Lara and had this english title Love of Tired Swans. She was thus the original performer of this russian version as well.
And then Dimash made his cover.
I admire both Lara & Dimash. The fact is the matter that Dimash looked up to her while he was still young because she is just a lovely and absolute singer/ songwriter/ actress. Dimash in the other hand, is a very multitalented singer/performer/ actor and knowing that Mr. Krutoi saw something special about Dimash and he allowed Dimash to sing a lot of Lara’s songs in his own versions. This song is an example to his uniqueness. Cheers! 🇺🇸❤️

Lara has been Dimash’s idol for years. He used to fall asleep listening to her music. You can see her influences in his performance…emotion, passion, living the lyrics, appreciation for the artistry of performance. Dimash’s and Lara’s voices and vocal range are different so I won’t compare that aspect, but I will say, their performances of their own songs in their respective primes are comparable…For example, imo… no one performs Adagio like Lara and, although I don’t know Dimash’s repertoire, I would say no one will perform his hits as well as he does. What I would like to see is what his performances are like in 10-15 years. That would be interesting to compare….

OH YES, DIMASH MAKES ANY SONG AS IT'S OWN... If any composer author, musician thinks in a song, must compose it as if it was for Dimash, even if it's for someone else... because if Dimash ever sing's it nobody will ever sing like it again... He personalizes the song and even the harmonic delivery.
Not all audiences goes "nuts" or hysterical like american's... It's a question of cultural thing. Silence means respect, devotion and a sign of absorbing all what the artists and the performers have to offer...
And to demonstrate their appreciation most of the russian audience don't have to make a circus, specially when they are among formal and respectful people from several high social & political status in their society... Eastern audiences are very demanding, exigent and with high standards of cultural events, due to their high academic (almost professional) formation, and used with the best in the world, since childhood they are used to assist all kind of arts, artists and artistic events daily... it's usual education... It's their way, they despise "popcorn culture"... although they accept it, as something bad but necessary... They don't have only plastic arts, literature, theater, ballet, circus, or opera.They also have giant concerts of pop, rock, heavy metal, grunge, etc...To make noise and stupid things. But all in it's right place. Only the most prestigious artists in the world have the chance to be invited to perform in the most famous stages of Asia, Russia and also in the former ex-provinces from USSR, like the Kremlin, as in this case Lara Fabian or Dimash can...
Western countries are more "ignorant" about it, don't have those regular habits unless you're educated with it... Most of the western people don't understand different behaviors, neither other cultures, social history, and don't do anything to learn it... I'm from south Europe... and it's a shame see some ignorant comments about this particular things... (quite frankly some stupid "noises specially those awkward and hysterical ones only prejudices the performer and makes the experience of other's something unpleasant and to think twice before next one ... once I had to slap my friend because she was melting my brain with her stupid no reason screams... I was there to enjoy the music, show and the band, not to blow off my brain...)... If you want to see if an artist (anyone!! from anywhere) is really good and deserves your money and an applause? take him to Russia or China... there you'll have the quality proof.

Dimash can't be compared to another artist. He's in his own class. She is awesome of course but can't compare the two.
So is Lara. She is one of the best vocalists of all time and an amazing and esteemed songwriter-composer. She was untouchable in her prime and is still incredible at 51. She is Dimash's idol and is revered by her peers for a reason.

By the way, what I always feel whenever I see Dimash's performance is that there is a big difference between watching the video and watching it directly at the concert. I feel like his songs are a little more lacking at the concert. Anyway, 6 years after I got to know him, his whistle is very impressive, but I still feel a lack in his belt area. Try the music video from Dimash's channel. The intensity is incredible, storyline, production is crazy beautiful (Dimash's production company). And when you say "this is as perfect as it can get, " in the video it's more seamless, and he is even more vocally strong, mature and in control. And looks good, too

I feel like Dimash has the most incredible voice, very unique. But somehow I prefer Lara Fabian because her voice just fits me more, it's warmer and more sensual. I'm more admirative of Dimash's voice, because of his performances are just out of this world. But I'm more enclined to feel with Lara.
Just personal opinion. They are both amazing, it's just a matter of what ones prefer in a singer. Or it's also a matter of when one hears it, the mood, you know what I mean?
Yes, Lara knows when to use emotions rather than technique. I think Dimash is still young, so he's more about technique than emotions. Over time, he will be able to move more. I'm sure he will surprise us in the future.
Fabian is a technical master who only ever uses all the tools in her considerable toolbox to get at the emotional core of each and every piece she presents. Her emotive abilities are remarkable. It's _never_ about showing off the singer through acrobatics. A consummate storyteller.
