It's finally time for the Enclosure Buildoff CHAMPIONSHIP!! We've brought back the past winners to battle head-to-head and see who is the Grand Champion enclosure builder. Since they're the best-of-the-best, we're adding a couple twists this year... I wonder what surprises are in store for them??
Remember to base your voting off of the enclosure you think is "best"! That could be the best-designed, the best setup for a reptile, best usage of the "surprise item", coolest-looking, or whatever you think qualifies the enclosure as the best!

The thing about it is that it’s kind of weird to be following a young boy when one is 18+
I know! When I heard him speak in part 1, I had an auntie moment of “Ahhh! What happened?! He hit puberty when we weren’t watching!” Still has the same enthusiasm and passion though.
I know! I didn't realize how little he was in the first one...
And yet his enclosure is totally outclassed yet again. It's embarrassing how bad it is honestly, as it has been every year. He doesn't belong among the other creators.

I've dreamed of making a build honoring all my mentors and bringing them together in spirit along with some kids from around town who have held reptiles for the first time for this photoshoot. I wanted to capture moments of mentors and the future they inspire together. This has been so much fun, and I'm so grateful to be a part of this with wonderful fellow reptile keepers and nature lovers. I finally got my dream of somehow including Steve Irwin and David Attenborough in the same build as Emily and Ed! And i get to hug Rex (at least in Photoshop!) Thank you to everyone who supports me - I am delighted and super grateful! ❤ For those who messaged, please don't worry about my being last- my goal was to combine my mentors in spirit - including Rex, who's survival for 27 long abused years leaves me in awe- I'm fine, happy, and very grateful to be part of this fun, meaningful project.

I genuinely thought Clint had forgotten about the race, and was just going to sit in the sunshine playing with an adorable bearded dragon - it somehow seems a very him thing to do!
I could not love Clint more. He is precious and his love of reptiles is catching! Him ripping into frame with Microfiber the Bearded Dragon made me spit my drink into my mic.
Luke gets bigger and bigger with every video. And these people seem like such kind hearted genuine funny people. I love watching these every year. I love seeing the creativity.

I know right! It looks so cool, but most of the other enclosures are probably better as an actual home for a reptile. It's a bit of a shame, really.

Can't get over how much Luke has grown, not just in that "boy he got big" way that kids do, but also in his self-assuredness, and comfort in being the only younger person in a field of adults (I nearly said "grown-ups, then remembered that Dav and Garrett were there!)

I voted #10. While #2 was my favorite "aesthetically" it was so similar in concept to what they did last year. Knew it was the NJ turtle folks immediately. 10 incorporates a natural look while also having the neat water feature.
Shout out to #6 for the best incorporation of their random object! A super creative build.
Honorable mention to Luke. He's grown so much. I love his prepared speeches and how genuine he is. Hope he doesnt take the low ranking too hard. He's clearly passionate and thats the most important!

I voted for #6, the exclosure! I love the idea of having a comfortable space for your scaley companion without them always being behind glass.
That was very cool, but not terribly practical , so I ended up, reluctantly, voting differently.

And I have lots of skinks running around my house (mostly outside, but occasionally they get inside) and garden in their very own free nature set up, very cool! But for most of us, a pet reptile needs some kind of enclosure or they become non-pets very quickly!
I loved the interactive non-enclosure, but for most pets would it not require 2 set ups? The enclosure and the non-enclosure? I just don't have that much room!

This was the best build-off ever! And not just because we have all champions in the building. You can tell how much work the Snake Discovery crew put into making this year's event special. I love the use of Adoption Island animals in the fogger contest. What a creative way to showcase those little buddies that need homes. Everyone got did a fantastic job! Hoping to see all these competitors again in the future.
Just wanted to chime in as someone who grew up in SEA - #1 the jungle themed enclosure struck me so much nostalgia - it was THAT close to what I remembered back when I lived there!

I absolutely loved the new twist of keeping the builders a mystery until the end. I had SO MUCH fun watching Part 1 and putting together a guessing list of who built what.
It was so much fun watching the various vlogs from the participants and watching this video to find out I successfully managed to properly link each UA-camr to their enclosure. This is always a fun experience to watch but I felt a bit more involved in my own personal challenge and loved the fun it provided.
Best of luck to all the enclosures! Voting was the hardest it’s ever been!

I love how the basket worked out fabulous for the Hog farm!!! My jaw dropped seeing that and I loved my Little People Farm as a kid and I have a Hognose myself too. ❤
So the blind voting was definitely a fabulous idea and a much more fair way of doing it to ensure that the best enclosure really is the winner… to that end, I’m a little surprised that you wouldn’t wait until after the voting was closed to reveal who made what though… Js… good job everyone though, they were all unique and interesting 🙂

I like that Clint didn't just immediately go full pirate. Throughout the video I noticed small changes and was wondering what was going on because I remembered the tie-tuck and then suddenly he had some billowy shirt on... Then a couple minute later a vest was added.
I voted for #2 because it reminded me of home. I laughed because it was from Garden State Tortoise and I live in the Garden State.

To be honest I really loved that you broke up the build off into two parts. Not that I would have voted based on who I liked, but I love that my vote went to someone I wasn't even familiar with before now. #8. I also really liked #4 and #6. These enclosures were so so so good. Everyone was really talented.
That little clothes hanger thing is one of my Conures favorite toys to play on. Great small bird toy.
I think you should add the rule... 'No hoarding' when they first get supplies. And you could add a space/table for items that contestants no longer want or need so others have the chance to get/use items they may have missed by others hoarding.
P.S. All of them were really well done and thought out, but YES, the best was absolutely #2, well, as of right now in the polls, but I'm sure they'll win! They created a seamless scene between far ground and foreground with the perfect perspective.
I also voted for number 2. I love the creativity of ALL the creators this year. East presentations had me smiling and flipping my choice! In the end, I decided based on the one that I thought was the most comfortable for the animal (and liked that I had a choice that it woukd suit a number of different species) plus it was the one that I would most like in my home as a show piece.
I’m a little biased towards #2 because I live in a deciduous forest and it reminds me of home. I also tend to prefer more naturalistic enclosures, but the Princess Mononoke one was a close second even though I’ve never watched it

Garden State Tortoise was a no-brainer, as was Garret's. I successfully pegged Adam's enclosure, also. Clint's was given away by the fact he was wearing his pirate's hat and wig.
The others (7, 8, 9, and 10) were the ones that floored me. I had to wait for this and the creator videos to see who did those.
My face *hurts* smiling so hard at the whole video. Every single person in this space is just so amazingly awesome- funny, creative, and vibrant. Ive subscribed to all channels.

These videos make the tabletop games and miniatures diorama nerd in me very happy, I genuinely like visiting pet shops for odd bits currently got a t rex skull mounted on a bit of mdf to be used as an ancient dragon skull.
That Princess Mononoke build is incredible, might be my favourite.

It would definitely help to have a clearer outline of rules, in terms of what other items (like tools) people are allowed to bring and what constitutes "one item" from home (since some have many components).
