So beautiful, Kurt! I love rainy weather, green forests, and lovely laughing waterfalls! Thank you for sharing!
a truly wonderful and awe inspiring video. Rain is one of my favorite weather types and the places you were in this video were so picturesque and scenic and just wow!
Still one of my favorite video on a rainy day like today .
you were right about the number of people in shizuoka, about 725,000. anyways i love all of your videos but there are a few truly breathtaking ones that make me just astounded, this being one. your videos are always filled with intriguing conversation and spectacular sights, and the ones (like this) that combine both are simply marvels. you know you've succeeded as a youtuber when your audience really feels like they're going on a hike with you. thanks for the great work and keep it up!
Perhaps they just don't appreciate it like you do, it's all they know, we offen take for granted what's in our own backyard our whole lives, thank you for always sharing such incredible adventures, you're an amazing individual!
I really really admire you..Kurt..!! And i hope that someday i'll have the chance to share those beautiful sceneries with a person who really knows how to live..you my friend..!! Amazing video..oh..and loved that colossal boulder..!! Mata ne..!!
It's beautiful!!!the sounds are awesom. Is all the water from a heavy rain or the snow melting?
I think i would become the double rainbow guy as well if i was walking here this videos is beautiful
Awesome, thanks Kurt! It was joy to make. :D
This was fantastic! When I hear you speak, I think Bob Ross and John Denver. But that's related to your words and ability to appreciate these things more than the sound of your voice.
Instead of being upset no one else appreciates that area, maybe be grateful no one ruins its tranquilness :)
You are not mad, you are amazing!
Thank you for so many great videos!
すばらしい映像をありがとうございます。
>>Just Live! ~ このビデオに ぴったりのネーミング!!
そうです。 ビデオに映っている岩に ある小さな植物でさえ 一生懸命生きている。
我々は、水の惑星に 住んでいる。
You have a very steady hand... great video, very inspiring.
Kurt comes alive when you add water!!!
You should make a video walking the same way when it's not raining and compare the two.
Love this.
That was a really happy 22 minutes. Yay !!
My favorite video I've seen so far, glad I saved it sometime ago so I could watch it when I had some free time. Love the message in the end of the video Kurt, definitely will keep that one in mind. My biggest fear when I started to imagine visiting these places would be the insects & leeches but I guess that's just a small toll I got to pay. ;)
I love Shizuoka, I get the same feeling when I visit my Aunt in Izu.
Phenomenal
Best of your videos made in Japan, Kurt! It just kinda sums up your whole aspect on lifestyle, wisdom, your appreciation for nature and adventure and much more. Love it from start till the end! Thanks for all the awesome views and thoughts you shared, and good luck on your adventure to the US!
Thank you for your nice words, friend. I truly enjoyed making this particular video. I'm glad you liked it too. Thank you for sharing this experience with me. :-)
Just gorgeous! Where is this?
just close your eyes and listen to he most relaxing sound on earth flowing water whether its rapids or a little stream.
Where exactly is that location? This looks awesome! :)
When you shouted "Just live" I kind of felt like crying.. haha
That was an amazing video!!! ;D! I've never seen so many waterfalls in my life!!! glad i finally got around to watch this :)
hope you didn't catch a cold after this vid! :o
Dude, after watching the whole thing, I just have to say this (copy and paste from facebook share):
I have to say that this vid is reminding me of the time I went swimming at the school pool, forgot my underwear, went commando in my shirt and trousers, and then got rained on. Talk about feeling Au Naturale. (bad french XD). Nothing like getting wet, in your clothes, at night, with no one around and nothing on underneath. XD Can you GET anymore natural? Well... XD
this is one of the most luckiest guys in the world but maybe the loneliest :(
i'm trying thanks ... baby steps
WOW
Where's that damn subscribe button...
@worldlord08 Why so? He has a family and probably lots of friends. I'd change lonely to lucky.
stop wishing and start being friend
In your vid you always ask why people don't go there. The answer is because they've seen it over and over again sins they where born. You foreigner are just stunish by that cause its new to your experience. FAK my grammar
I live you Kurt but that last part was a little cheesy.... I live these videos. No matter what any free kittens say...
Watching you enjoy the rain put a smile on my face.
Thank you. It was a fun hike! 😊
私は英語はわからないけど、あなたの動画好きです。
hey kurt i read the oldest part of the brain is the emotional section.and we are visual creatures,it easy to understand why it would of developed first as our cavemen counter parts would of been in aw over such sights and sounds, anyhow,iv experience such things only nature can create,tv can come close.nothing like living it/breathing it with all our senses in over load.when i hear the water rushing,in my mind im noodling around on the guitar, playing what ever nature inspired, nature is the band
2:33
I'm pretty sure falling in there would kill you. I think.
3:59
'Cause it's wet. >< Reminds me of that freak rainstorm back at boarding school. No warning. WHAT-SO-Ever! Just 'POOSH!!!!' Rain! XD
5:45
-and the natives nearby are grinning to themselves and thinking: 'Crazy gaijin.' XD
I have to say, sometimes when I see rivers gushing like that, I wonder where they get all that water from to gush so hard. It has to run out sometime right? Rain water doesn't collect that fast, does it?
Don't apologize at all. Our stupid culture tries to indoctrinate a belief that men can't express their feelings, and if they do, they're pansies. This was a hell of a trip and it was exciting to watch. Thanks for risking a cold in order to get us beautiful scenery.
First time I see your videos and I can say that my first impression of you is not that of a crazy person. You are just passionate and you are actually being yourself on camera which most people dont do. Awesome scenery, if most of your videos are like this, nature in Japan (which I'm very fascinated by). Then I'm your new subscriber.
This is why I love your channel so much. That final speech, from you to the audience, it really got me - your message is a great one, and I'm glad to always find a new adventure on my UA-cam homepage exactly when I need one. Never stop! - Tariq
Thanks for sharing Kurt...I enjoyed the Waterfalls very much...wish I could be there; it was amazing to see so many of them in one go...kool spot for deep meditation though. Where exactly is it located? One day I shall visit there...peace and cheers
That waterfall coming from the foggy cedar grove looked like a terrific exploring spot!!! Have you ever ventured Mt.Rainer in Washington, softypapa? It's very, very similar to here. I hope to hike all of Japan one day. Thank you for your great positivism!!
Amazing video! Amazing rain! Amazing Rocks! Amazing waterfalls! Amazing bolder!! Amazing Message!!!!!!!! Just Live !
This video inspired me , it emotionally swayed me in a very positive way!!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
Hontou ni arigatou!
Oh my... I love seeing the rainy season in Japan. This is the temperate rainfall I love and adore so much, and have only seen like this in the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. I can't wait to see Japan!
That was awesome, thank you so much.
Enjoy the fact that you don't meet anyone up there. It seems everywhere I go there are people already there. I would love to have an area like that to explore by myself.
your videos are awesome. I could possibly move to China for a Panda research project, and although your videos are of Japan, I have never been more excited to go far East! You have a new subscriber!
I know you did this video awhile ago but maybe it's because you are a true adventurer that appreciates he's surrounding and beauty! It is absoulutely beautiful and awesome. Some many waterfalls and beauty.
DOUBLE WATERFALLLS............WHAT DOES IT MEAAAAAAAAAAANNNNN ...... T obe honest if I lived up in the mountains of Japan I'd friggin' go up there all the time. and explore it looks so fun.
i really want to see some footage there in the winter i want to see that river when its frozen and the snow covered landscape if it is snowing there and cold sorry if you already have
Look at the green and the drippies and the splashies! I just LOVE how you describe things! I always smile when watching your video's! Thanks for sharing...
@tsurupettan66 Do you mean downtown Toronto? Ontario is a province not a city. :-P I live in British Columbia, lots of beautiful parts of this province!
You'll just have to start a guide business and attract people up there for the zen refreshment of the wilderness of the hills of Japan. ;)
I don't blame you at all for being exhilarated by the many waterfalls that reside there! It looks overwhelming! Great upload.
@Lane339 the link doesn't want to work, but you can find the painting from the home page at lanebrownart.blogspot.com
Your video reminded me of Bob Dylan's song "Dignity", especially this line, "Wise man looking at a blade of grass."
@a1mlicious i dident realise he had a family until a couple of days ago lol yes indeed he is a very lucky man
That's wild! Of all your video's I've watched, this one without a doubt is the best. I'd love to walk there too
You're the one being sane, Kurt. Everyone else in this society is mad for not wanting to see places like this!
Wow I'm flabbergasted the beauty that you captured in this video was astonishing.great video Kurt.
I wonder why you are the only one. I know i would be right up there with you if i could. its amazing!
seems like you are drunk of water falls >:P nice vid i would love chilling there in a bad day
Forgot to say Thanks for your awesome videos which have helped me in my search for dignity.
Had to come back and watch this one again. One of my favorite videos on UA-cam.
Wow! Nothing else to say except Wow! I will be watching this a few times over.
Gah. I would love to go up the mountains in Japan. Sounds.... incredible.

Awesome video! Thanks so much for sharing,
Totoro might be hiding around there!
The sound is so relaxing for me
i love videos like this this ;]
no rain coat! he is a real man
oooh that water looks cold!!
My guess is that either people in Japan don't have either the time or the money to go site-seeing. That or maybe people DO go there but you just don't see them or they go at another time.
Anyhow, I can understand your enthusiasm; I personally wouldn't get that excited except if I imagine a fantasy-like scene (e.g. two adventures hopping over a rock; traveling to a village).
Thank you for the video.
Amazing video! Thanks!
AWESOME journey. :D
*love these videos
Holy tomatoes! XD
Wish i was there.
You should make a video walking the same way when it's not raining and compare the two.
Holy Tomatoes!
wow amazing!!!!
DOUBLE RAINBOW! WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! YEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! *Cough*
If I lived there I'd be up in those mountains all the time.
Cool
I found everything in this video fascinating as well.
