This is exactly what I am looking at getting down here in Tasmania once I sell my 550 formosa. Only thing I'm not sure about is side or centre console. Got a stuffed back and the side console sits further aft so that might be the option but is there any stability issues (leaning) as will mainly be a solo fishing rig?

Hi fishmissile, thanks for your question. As you mentioned the side console is a long way towards the back, which improves the ride. I didn't notice any significant stability issues or leaning when I was in the boat one up. The battery is located in the center of the boat and very low as well as the fuel tank (which was full during the test). Both these elements increase stability. The hull has also bee designed to have more buoyancy the further you lean over. By that I mean the more you lean the more the hull tries to keep you upright upright. So to answer your question I don't think you will have any stability issues fishing one up. Cheers, Ben

Cheers for the reply. Went and dropped my boat at the dealer today to sell and after chatting to the boys I am leaning towards the centre console. Dont spose you fella's could chuck one of those (469 outlaw centre console) in the drink and do a quick vid lol? Either way should be be a good one person fishing rig.

Thanks for the video guys. Its what sold me. Finally sold my boat and have one of these on the way to Tassie. Went for the 469 center console outlaw model though with the 60 Yammy.

Comes down to personal choice. A side console gives you a larger usable floor space and feels bigger. But if you are predominately fishing one-up the center console might be the way to go. Center consoles are generally a little higher too so you have a different driving position to consider. I've personally got a side console and love it, but my brother-in-law has a center console and loves that. BC
