I can't say what is best. Dogs and other species in your area will always play a role. This is only one raised bed but a mongoose still managed to eat my strawberries so I have to put chicken wire around it. You will just have to find way to keep dogs out, and depending on what invasive species you refer to, deal with them also. Nothing will ever be perfect. Wish you all of the best with your plans. Keep watching because I am planning something big in terms of the strawberries...
