Subscribed! Thanks Len, can you please make an overview on your gear (guitars and recording setup)? Thanks 🙏🏼
Thanks! I'm just an amateur so not sure how much knowledge I'd be sharing! It's a few mics into an Apollo X4 interface, and then I mix in Cubase :)
Please ‘ask for help’ next!
Fantastic video! Can anyone please tell me what guitar eirik and erlend use? I've been searching it like forever
Eirik has use the Alhambra semi-acoustic classicals for many years (different versions, but often the Alhambra Model 7 Fc CW or CT - the CT is the shallow body one). His backup guitar is often a Godin Multiac Nylon. Erlend played a Martin dreadnaught (probably D-18 or D-35) right at the start, then the Gibson J185 for many years, then switched to a Maton Tommy Emmanuel for a couple of years, but now he plays what appears to be a Martin 000-28 sunburst.
Really appreciate the tutorial. anyadvice for being able to sing and play to the rhythm? I ended up playing to the rhythm of what im singing rather than what im supposed to be playing
Combining the two is indeed the hard part - I can only suggest playing it REALLY slow so you can work out where each syllable fits in the guitar rhythm, and then very slowly increasing the speed to normal (which is really crazy fast! :)) - good luck!
Amazing tutorial. Thanks a lot 😊
I tried to write down the right hand pattern on the first chord is this right?
-----------------------
-0-x-----0-x----0-x-----0-x--
-2-x-----2-x----2-x-----2-x--
-2-x-----2-x----2-x-----2-x--
-----------------------
-2-x-2--2---x-2---x-2-2---x--
To be honest I don't use tabs so I am not entirely sure - it looks about right, but more important is just playing along the bit where I play it really slowly and match the sound/rhythm - thanks for watching!
Great! Thank you!
