As a user of the Xm5 and Sennh PXC I can say that the Sony ANC is impressive without a doubt and that it has improved its sound compared to the previous version. Still, the PXC is years ahead when it comes to sound quality, the ANC is good, but it doesn't compare to Sony. Likewise, perhaps because of the shape of my head, both do not cause me any discomfort even using them for several hours. In the end it is a matter of taste but I can summarize it as: Sony= decent sound/ impressive ANC. Sennh PXC=impressive sound/decent ANC.
Got xm5 black, plastic squiking and finger print magnet, returned them and took the "silver" ones, much better on finger prints but plastic still bad. So I have returned them also and found a sweet deal on a trusty xm3 also new, and onestlly I dont lose much from my ex-xm4. Xm3/xm4 feels more "premium" than xm5, but my Beoplay H95 are above all.
But the ANC isnt that great, they are uncomfortable for me, looking for Momentum 4 but not sure if they will sound better. A year later still using my h95 going through all abuse and still solid
Great vid. Thanks. Hoping for pxc-iii with around 80% of the ANC of xm5, and better ambient. Xm5 was nearly perfect for me, but as someone who travels/commutes alot, it's a no go. Build is not durable enough
Very good review and comparison. Every little detail included, this is awesome. Will come back here for future reviews. I decided to go with PXC 2 some time ago and have similar experience and mic quality was the deciding factor between Sennheiser and Sony XM3/4 as well as worse durability of Sony.
I'd love to see the XM5's compared to the technics eah-a800's. They seem to be similar build and features. If I'm not mistaken the technics are the only none Sony headphones to have the LDAC codec as well.
How are they? I'm might want to get the momentum 4 when they come out because i want something powerful than my h95 which sound good but sometimes i want different flavor
personally, one of the only reason why im buying more premium bluetooth heaphones is so i get better sound quality. Sure its nice to have good anc but i really dont see myself needing the best of the best anc just to block out causal noise. Its like overkill at that point. I'm a fan of comfort too so the sennheiser pxc-ii's win for me.
I’m trying to decide between the momentum 3 and surface headphones 2. Both marked down right now and can’t decide. I will use them mostly at house and fly with them a few times a year. I’m worried the momentum 3 anc will not be good enough and the surface headphones won’t sound good enough. Which ones would you prefer??
How does the sound compare between this momentums 3 and the momentums 3 true wireless, i really dont get the diferences between a headphones and earphones.
Never heard about it before when talking about Momentum 3. I adore my Momentum 3, but I will never ever going to buy a pair of headphones with "sticking out" sliders. There were so many accidents when I badly hit something if I decide to do something around the house with them on. That is definitely not the issue for people that set sliders fully open, but.. Sliders supposed to be inside the headband. With M3 your head becomes unnaturally wide in ears area, sometimes feels like it is wider than shoulders. And actually it is, if I turn head to the side (headphones stick out the shoulder line). That's a major design issue for me: M3's are ridiculously big/wide. Still ok when it is home/desk headphones 90% of time.
Ah, the failed upgrade to the original from before Sennheiser sold out shows its face again… This is forever an L on their part while they upgraded everything else in their line. For your opening statement, it’s a lot more true of the former than the latter.
To be sincerely speaking in my humble opinion without being sentimental and of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my opinion but rather looking into this serious matter with perspective distinction and without condemning anyone's point of view,I honestly think and believe that I have nothing to say.

Even the original PXC 550 is better in sound than the XM5.
@@zugo-tg7125 I completely agree with your comment and being objective almost any over-head headphone sounds better than Sony.
Without air condition, I still can work on desk and wear PXC all day in summer, but Sony is too hot.
Sennheiser Momentum 4 has just been anounced, it will be available starting August 2022
I put xm5 to hold for that
And they will have 50 hours of battery life. Or was it 60?

Yeap, Momentum Wireless 4 teased some days ago, so new Sound Kings coming !!! (In this price point...)
Momentum 4 earpads are deal breakers. Once I got used to Lambskin it's hard to go back to vegan letter.
Finally the review that was waiting for 😊

Lets wait for sennheiser momentum 4 wireless in august
Sennheiser M3 still #1 in SQ

have you tried the creative sxfi theatre? because they also won some CES award just like sony XM4.

Will you be doing the Bowers & Wilkins P7 series 2 as well? No major UA-cam channel reviews just yet
I will, after I return from vacation.
Apparently the bose qc 45 has the best nc now Since bose updated
Can you do a speaker review on the soundcore motion boom plus

i just realized, how strange is that you are from the US and still measuring in grams. 🤷🏻♂️🙂
